  1. I saw the video and I have a couple pieces of advice. Something I've learned over 1400 tandems, fly your own body, It looks like a big contributing factor of the turn was you fighting with her arms. If the drogue is out leave her body position alone until you are in control of the skydive then worry about her body position...Again FLY your own body first!!..secondly a big floppy jumpsuit would give you more control over the student. You can use that drag to your advantage.
  2. I finished first after a heck of a heads up battle...one of the better games I've been in, in quite a while.
  3. OK....Update for all....First off THANK-YOU all!!!!! I was overwhelmed by the donations and amount of well wishers and encouragement...Believe me when I say skydivers are not a group of people....Skydivers are a FAMILY. Again Thank-You all....I still am accepting donations but I've secured and paid for the inside back cover for the memorial. The page is being designed right now and will appear in the September issue of Parachutist...Please look it over and realize that our friends finally got their proper memorial published because of all your efforts.... Blue Skies Kelly
  4. I was almost v this timeery disappointed. I was promised pics of the after sex drinks and all the drunks. I know there has to be some tasty party stories!!! But after the cutey tushy pic I guess I can let you off with a warning this time.Oh and a quicky come back for when they start to itch and someone catches you scratching your ass. When they make a stupid comment just say "my brain was hurting so I was massaging it" It leaves them speechless because they have no comeback for an answer like that...
  5. PM sent, it's not amount money amounts. I'm more than willing and happy to pay for this myself. For me it's kind of a good feeling, healing thing and I want others to be able to share and be part of it if they wish too. Skymedic and JoJo...thanks for the bumps
  6. A big Thank-you to all of you who have donated....Ive been in this sport for along time and it still amazes me to this day the way that skydivers can come together and help one another out.

  10. Hey all...I'm sure most of you remember that on July29th 2006 Quantum Leaps Twin Otter crashed and killed 6 of our friends. We had a skydiver wake and raised money for a parachutist memorial page and the money keeper apparently scammed us and pocketed the cash for himself... The friends deserve much better and they more than deserve a proper skydiver memorial, scammer be damned!! I am going to do what is needed to put that page memorial in parachutist even if I have to pay it all myself. So for the 1 year anniversery of the crash(even though I know it will take a while to appear in parachutist) I am asking for help. For anyone whoes life was touched by Scott, Rob, Robert, Dave,Melissa or Vicki please feel free to donate to their Parachutist memorial. If you use paypal you can send it to skyguy@charter.net and in the note or instruction section please put in there for Parachutist memorial and your name so I know who to give thr Props too later. If you want to use check please PM me and I'll give you my address. I'm called Parachutist and placing the order on July 30th... Even if you can't donate, just reply to this post in any way so it doesn't die. Any help in anyway is truely appreciated. Blue Skies and please keep this thread alive and post up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. No....as long as it's not affecting the TSO then there is no need to get manufacturer or FAA permission. The harness, reserve container, Reserve handle, RLS lanyard, ect. are manufacturer specific, but the main risers(as long as they are compatible with the RSL), main d-bag, pilot chute ect. are not and are interchangable.
  12. As long as it is for the main sytem I definitly would...The only problem with risers is RSL rig location so that needs to be taken into consideration and pilot chutes , as long as it's the correct size it make no difference who made it, most main pilot chutes were not made by the rig manufacturer anyway. Now reserve compents are a totally different story because of the TSO.
  13. So, How you doin'?(in my best Joey voice)
  14. I may have been talking about the drink...but after all that alcohol who knows what could happen..clothes do seem to find a way to get lost after a wild night out
  15. You'll have to designate a secondary camera guy just in case all the "sex" takes you out first.....If I had planned things out better I could have hit Skyfest this year but poor lack of planning is biting me in the butt again. I've always wanted to checkout Spaceland anyway so maybe I'll just head down for a weekend sometime in August or Sept.
  16. Thats gonna be one hell of a party....With all the sex themed drinks you should make it a pimps and hoes party...Have fun at Skyfest...I'm so jealous of everyone who gets to go.
  17. looks like Bowling Green,MO.
  18. Here you go... Sex In The Bedroom Cocktail Recipe Glass: Cocktail Chilled In Mixing Glass With Ice Add: 1 oz Coconut Rum 1 oz Chambord 1 oz Pineapple Juice Stir and Strain Garnish: Cherry
  19. 2 years to get my AA in emergency medical sciences and paramedic license, 1 year for my fire science technology degree and 10 long boring god foresaken years to get my bachelors in business science/management degree.....I can officially say...I'm done with school!!!
  20. Any group member DZ has access to USPA's data base and can verify membership , licenses and ratings on-line. If the European DZ is not USPA affiliated you can try calling your home DZ and get them to print off the page and fax it . Sometimes USPA will also fax verification if you call them.
  21. Just my damn luck....been looking foreward to this post all weekend and my crappy luck continues...No Air Hockey Tables!!!!! Oh well I guess good things come to those that wait..at least they better
  22. Ozzy...I just happen to be a Skydive U coach and also a USPA coach course dierctor and I 100% believe there should be a difference between the two. I do USPA coaching jumps and follow the ISP when doing so. Those students get a very good ground prep and skydive....I also do Skydive U coach jumps and those students pay much more, they get a very extensive ground prep and are help to a higher standard. Now I'm guessing you have never TRUELY delt with DZ management but I can give you this insite.....ALL repeat students want their A-license, to do so they must get coach jumps per the ISP(look at the A card and know the BSR's and you can figure out that they must have rating holders to jumps with once they graduate the student progression)...Most newby jumpers have already spent close to $1200 to $1500 and to FORCE them to pay more for Sky U is just bad business...I'm sure I have been doing thos for much longer than you have and I am 100% confident in say...Students will get their A, be happy for awhile, build a small bank roll and once they get a big taste for RW or Freeflying they will seek out an advanced coach or Sky U coach to rapidly improve.....LEAVE THE CHOICE UP TO THEM!.
  23. It is a good article and his ideas to solve the 270 issue is good if the DZ has the extra landing area to divide up....What he made no mention of was the fact that swoopers need to take responsibility for their actions and you don't always have to "Hook or swoop" to land. Here's a huge SHOCKER...Not everyone comes to a DZ to watch you land!!!! But I will guarantee NO ONE comes to the DZ so you can kill them. I firmly believe that swooping should be allowed and it is good for the sport. But if you want to practice the craft and do 270's or down winders then be professional enough to get out on a low pass or open high enough to hang out and let the pattern clear. Believe me when I say this...skydiving has been around longer that swooping and it's here to stay even without swooping, so Everyone should keep their eyes open( YES EVEN THE HOT STUFF SWOOPER) and remember the low guy on final has the right of way and if he prevents your swoop then land safe and live so you can swoop on the next load.
