    I'd have to check my logbook but I bet I've got about 50 jumps out of Sky Knights' C-182, including one RW night jump and I've got one out of a tail-dragging 152, (at Frontier) also. There is definitely something to be said about jumping small aircraft. I'm not a turbine snob by any means. We just had a turbocharged engine and three-blade prop installed in the plane, and it uses up very little runway and the climb rate is way faster now. I would bet it rivals a turbine in that respect. Now if the club would get it a new paint job, that would be awesome! Easy Does It

    PD also has a smoking demo program, too - Try a Spectre 170 for a couple weekends, and give a Sabre 2 a try for a couple weekends, too. I've got about 175 jumps on a Spectre 150 (loaded at 1.2-1.3:1, depending on my current pizza/beer ratio) and I'm still having lots of fun with it. Borrow from your 401(k) before you ever take a distribution. You'll get cornholed big time by Uncle Sam and the IRS if you cash it in, losing alot of bucks, wether you actually earned it or not. Why throw away free money? When at all possible, pay cash for skydiving toys. Monthly payments reduce your jump ticket fund. If you set your mind to saving aggressively, you'll be surprised how fast the cash piles up. Easy Does It

    This kid is packing up his tools, closing the valves on all the gas tanks, shutting off all the euipment and headed to the likker store - Pick up a twelve pack - Head home and feed the dog then put the scooter back together - Tomorrow we're off to the DZ all day to fly some hardcore RW in preparation for the 5th and final meet in the MWSL circuit September 20th- Eat a great dinner Saturday night and do some semi-serious partying - - - Sunday will be a day in the saddle with the little lady snuggled up behind me!!! I supervise the maintenance department for a major thermoplastics company - I can with 99% certainty tell you our product is in you house, in some form or another! Pretty neat!     I also know Morse code (but I'm a bit rusty) - I used to be able to copy at 15-20 words per minute, now I'm lucky if I can copy at five. My daughter and speak fluent Gibberish, Does that count? Easy Does It

    0:4:0 Took the wife to the airport - she's going to Conn. for week with her mom - I'm Joe Bachelor for a week! WooHoo!! Good times at the DZ - Four good RW jumps, lots of points turned, worked on my accuracy for my D - Five more jumps to go to get my D. And I think I'm actually getting the hang of this thing they call skydiving. Best fun I had was bombing out the door, and turning fast enough to watch the others get out right behind me. So sweet!     It is cool living in this neighborhood! I'm 45 from East Troy, 1.5 hrs from Hinckley, 2 hours from SDC or Morriss, probably 2 hours from Ft. Atkinson. Most if not all have turbines at least on a part-time basis. Illinois si one of the best places to be a skydiver! Easy Does It

    1:3:1 Overall a good week/ weekend- Beer for night jump Wednesday, will get one or two more in soon I hope- Got two highly successful RW jumps in off the Casa Saturday and a really nice sunburn on the bike and at the 7-mile Fair Sunday. Sarah got a couple pics of Sharon and I at 70 mph on I-94, from our friends' car. Will post once they're developed. Sarah spent Friday night and all day Saturday at Ottawa, packing for Just4Fun, and had a blast. I'm getting nothing but compliments about her- Needless to say I'm quite proud! Not a bad weekend at all for a change! Easy Does It

    She made necklaces for everyone on Just4Fun, and her others will be in the case tonight or by the weekend at the latest - (We're waiting for them to come from Para-Gear) I'm sure they'll sell fast during the boogie. Tom Joles was half-joking about a wind-tunnel fund for her, too! He and John want to be her instructors. We jump with one hell of cool crowd, y'know that?     We're going to try to get her to Orlando for an hours' worth some time this winter. Sounds like it may be a party with myself, Alex, et al going down all at the same time. We might even get Sharon in there for a few minutes!! In the mean time, Sarah is raising money by packing and making/selling Closing Pin necklaces at the DZ - She's being quite industrious!!
