I've made flippy-floppy on a few first dates, only one lasted past that. We were sex buddies for awhile until I moved out to Illinois from New York, then we kinda lost touch. Easy Does It

I scored 124 on the timed test, ran out of time, and guessed on a good portion of the math problems. (Not my strong suit, math-) Easy Does It

1) what made you start jumping / how you became interested? A few friends of mine and I went to Hinckley in August of '99, to do tandems, it was supposed to be just one jump. The following spring I started training. I don't know what they're doing on weekends anymore, but you know where to find me! 2) How long have you been jumping? How many jumps do you have? This is my fourth season, I've got almost 350 jumps so far. 3)What method of training did you do? Static line. 4) how has skydiving changed you life? I've made the closest friends ever. I have more fun than I've ever had with my clothes on. It's been the best thing for my state of mind. (Who needs a shrink when you have a parachute?) Spent alot of money and I don't regret it. It's been hard on the relationship with my wife, but it's brought my second daughter Sarah and I closer together. (she started jumping this Spring.) Messed with focus at work and home. I used to bore people to death taking about it, but now I get amused by the "what happens if both chutes don't open?" questions. I love the look on people's face when I matter-of-factly say "I die". People at work now say I'm more positive and upbeat even when I'm stressing out. (After I got past the annoying phase-) I love that I can go to a new DZ by myself a thousand miles away and within 30 minutes of arrival be on a plane with folks I feel I've know for years. What kind of deployment handle do you have?
Dumpster replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in The Bonfire
My current rig has a hackey, but the Wings I'll be ordering in a few days will have the "freestyle" handle option with BOC. Easy Does It -
Yep - Not a Cypres fire but FXC - It was jump # 16, (static line course) I lost altitude awareness when tumbling after a poor attempt at tracking - by the time I recovered stability I was going for the main ripcord and WHAM - Instant canopy. I did get back in the air that same day, though. Easy Does It

I never really had much motivation to bungee jump before I started skydiving, and now I sure as hell don't. If I ever jump off a bridge, etc. it will be with a BASE rig on my back! Easy Does It

Liver - and any kind of internal organ my Mom would try to feed me. I'd either ditch it under the table and let the dogs eat it or just outright refuse, and would not give in. I sat at the table until Midnight sometimes. Easy Does It

I'm not a rigger, but I would reccomend replacing the bungee cord PC with a kill-line PC. I understand bungee PC's don't work well in sub-terminal deployment situations, like one might encounter in an aircraft emergency. Easy Does It

I jump all year around in Wisconsin, and I've found what I beleive to be the best winter glove around - Go to IronClad's website, http://www.iclad.com/ironclad/ccg.html Look for the "Cold Condition" glove. You'll pay a little more for these, but they will last for years. One feature I really like is they are neoprene with a longinsh cuff, so they don't put a velcro strap around the wrist, and they still seal up nicely and fit like a second skin. You can get them off the website, (price will be higher plus you'll have to pay shipping-) or find a dealer, ours is Ace Hardware. Easy Does It

I talked to a couple folks at the DZ, it appears the quitling may be just that, quilting with little or no addtional padding. I'll be calling the manufacturer today with some questions and will add that to the list. In the meantime I'm still playing around with the color program on the website - Good way to waste the company's money, eh? Easy Does It

OK - Now I'm a little confused - (Bear with me, I'm a damn Yank and have no idea what the whole game of Cricket is about - ) What is the "pitch"? )Obviously it's quite different that baseball-. Perhaps I should try to find a glossary of Cricket terminology and how the game is played - ? Easy Does It

Crickets make good bass bait, too. And just what the hell is a sticky wicket, anyways? Sounds like a personal hygiene problem to me! Easy Does It

Which way should your closing pin point on your neck?
Dumpster replied to cvfd1399's topic in The Bonfire
I say it just doesn't matter - It's enough that we get those curious glances while in line at the grocery store. So, what if you jump a pull-out and have a necklace with a straight closing pin? Easy Does It -
Sweet thing is that cut-in laterals are FREE this month, too! WooHoo! Easy Does It

Since they got the new engine w/turbocharger they baby her a little more than they used to. Mooey cited a concern with the oiling system in extreme cold. Easy Does It

Sounds like a no-brainer!

Quick and simple - Is the quilted backpad on a Wings a "gotta-have" or just a nice-to-have thing? (For me, gotta-haves are things like hip rings and a kill-line PC) Thanks in advance! -Lenny Easy Does It

Just too bad they won't let Yankee fly when it's below what, 10 degrees? Or is it zero? Jumping in the winter is simple - Just dress for it. Easy Does It

Too much hassle getting rid of the body. Easy Does It

Would your friends Mom be willing to let a bunch of post-whoring DZ.commers crash at her oh-so-well-located home? I'm sure they'd be happy to cook breakfast and make coffee! Might even be able to land in her backyard after the last load. Easy Does It

I went to a Catholic school during my elementary years - ALL of the teachers there were scary. I think the school motto was "Education through intimidation and humiliation." In High school we had a biology teacher who was really easy to push over the edge. We'd get him all riled up just to watch his face turn red (BRIGHT red!)and see the veins buldge out on his neck and temples. Great fun. An English would complain about us returning from lunch smelling of weed and beer, then sneak off to the bathroom to snort coke, and come back with a drainer & looking like she'd been crying for an hour. (She got busted and went to rehab, then returned to teaching.) Easy Does It
