Rolled my ankle over on landing just as my full weight was transfering to my feet. Three breaks (tib, fib and ?) close to the joint, some slightly displaced stuff and ligament damage. Two hours in surgery. One plate and eight screws total. Really interesting x-rays. Ouch. I also found out Morphine and Vicodin make me sick, itch like crazy and constipate me. I'm getting used to the pain now so Tylenol takes the edge off things well enough for me. Being laid up sucks. Easy Does It

My son (Esau, 13) lives in NY and went out to the city with his Mom and her boyfriend. He was wearing a WCC shirt I gave him. They spent some time near Tavern Rock, where the Orange County Chopper boys are. He says he got flipped off a couple times and got alot of dirty looks from the locals! Easy Does It

We jump all year up here in Wisconsin. It's not a big deal and alot of fun to jump in the winter if you dress for success. And you don't have to bundle up like Kenny from South Park. But then again, winter weather does make a great excuse to head south and visit a few southern-dwelling friends! Easy Does It

I love to tell the boss I have to leave early "for an appointment". Yeah, it just happens to be a warm sunny day with winds out of the west at 5-10 MPH, but, y'know, shit happens - --- Easy Does It

Peperoni and anchovies on mine, please! And lots of black pepper. Yes indeed the best pizza is only found in NY, and New Jeresy has some damn good pizza, too. There is some good pizza in other parts of the country, but NYC has 'em beat. Fruit belongs in a fruit salad. 'nuff said! Easy Does It

In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tax -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- oooh... good one Reminds of a moment a few years a ago when I broke a milestone in my annual household income - No matter how I sliced it I had to pay the IRS on April 15th. I actually felt myself becoming physically ill as I wrote out a personal check to the bastards for $2,500.00. Then I went out and purchased a house and upped my 401(k) contribution. I got a small refund the next year in spite of earning more. Screw the bastards!! (I also hired an agressive tax consultant-) Easy Does It

Often used at our DZ among the 4-way folks - Shake Up Down Out Most of our camera flyers look for a pronounced Up movement to key thier departure from. But like others have said here previously, most any count will work as long as everyone knows what to do and when. Easy Does It

I went to a full-face right off student status also. (Z-1, no problems with vision, easy to open and close.) I now do some coaching of new students and will switch to an open face so we can share facial expresions, etc. In the tunnel and bellyflying the fullface is great, as eventually you will hit the wall or get kicked in the face. I reccomend it. They are also a bit quieter and give you a nice place to carry your Dytter/Pro-Track/FX if you use audible altimeters at all. Lots of room for silly stickers, too! My .02, fwiw!! "Upscale". Especially when used with the word "lifestyle" as in "upscale lifestyle center" being used to describe nothing but a glorified strip mall full of shops selling trendy overpriced crap. Makes me wanna puke. But that's just me. Easy Does It

While on student status - .71:1 under Mantas. Immediatly off student status (about 20 or so jumps - I was a static-line baby) I went directly to a 1.36:1 loading under a Spectre. I've made a few jumps under some other canopies but not many- Nothing smaller than the 150 though. Still jumping the same one now at 330 some-odd jumps. I've been averaging about 100 jumps a year except for my first year I only did around 25 or 30. Easy Does It

Official title is Maintenance Supervisor - Our company, The GLS corporation, www.glscorp.com makes what are called "thermoplastic elastomers". Our finished product is little rubber pellets, which in turn become parts of lots of consumer products. If you live in the U.S., odds are I can walk into your house and pick up something that has our product in or on it. Posistion? I can do anything in any posistion! I keep the machines running - Electrician, mechanic, welder, pipefitter, fabricator, etc. i also get involved with the applications engineers and the R&D lab when it comes time to design and build test fixtures and stuff. Love my job, hate alot of the BS I put up with. Easy Does It

I got a letter like that several years ago, not from the IRS but from New York State. Seems my federal and state returns didn't jive, and I owed NY money with interest. Took them two years to find me, since I had moved from NY to Illinois in the interim. So of course they charged me lots of interest. I think the total was like 600 bucks. The next year they sent me a check for like 400 bones, said they were auditing thier records and found out I had overpaid something. Go figure, eh? Easy Does It

Well - Sorry to hear it's over - When I divorced my first wife I was living here in Illinois and she was in New York - Don't what kind of questions you might have and laws vary greatly from state to state but I'll do the best I can. Just PM me. Easy Does It

Perhaps when you're closing in you're also beginning to reach out for your grips without realizing it. When you reach out you may actually be "pushing" yourself backwards. Try to fly your hands to the grips, instead. Easy Does It

Most of the time I pack for myself. I enlisted the skill of my daughter Sarah while she was saving up for tunnel time before she learned to skydive herself. I still do most of my own packing unless I'm pressed for time, and even then I'll check and see how backed up the packers are. I will confess that I find it hard to pack after the last load and the beer light is on. I hired packers often when I was competing in the NSL last year and there usually wasn't time between loads to pack then dirt-dive the next round. It does appall me when I see folks standing around missing loads when the packers are backed up and they can't pack for themselves. Seems they packed and jumped that one time for thier license, then quit packing. Only one thing will make you better at packing - PRACTICE! You will pick up your own tricks for getting that sucker in the bag, and someday you may get to share what you've learned with some one else. I often pack for others for jump money. Mostly sport rigs or I'll help keep the clubs' student rigs packed up. Live Bravely

I highly reccomend it, too. My daughter had about an hour and a half in the tunnel before going through AFF, and right now at 28 jumps, she turned 12-14 points with us with no troubles. I've done coach jumps with students about her experience level and am amazed with the difference. My advice to anyone who wants to hone skills quickly, is to get an hour or so with some good coaching, and Orlando has it. And you don't neccesarily need to do a camp, just time with the coaches on hand will work wonders. Easy Does It

0:2:0 Just two jumps this weekend - 1 four-way including my daughter Sarah (28 jumps at the time-) and we turned at least 12 points. I lost count- It was a simple three-point dive, but at 28 jumps, she did so well! Another four-way that was good for 12 points, included some block moves and Ladyskydiver joined us - Great to jump with you again, Cora! Ducked out around three PM and put some miles on the motorcycle before the cold weather sets in. The order form for my new Wings is going in the mail today! WhooHoo! My signature line is out for repair.
