    my parents moved into a new house just under a year ago. They have had to have EVERYTHIGN approved by the homeowners association- everything from a stone patio to a fence (which had to be made of natural materials and not over a certain height), to types of trees int eh yard to flower bed stuff. Supposedly there are regulations about open garages, etc as well. Screw that. __

    i figure any temps below 75 and it's cooler to sit my food out on the porch than in the fridge, right?

    red or white sangria? I usually make red. from scratch, take a 1.5 L bottle of red (cabernet works best), mix it in with 1 Cup of sugar, 3-4 oz of brandy, 3-4 oz of triple sec, then throw in some sliced up apple, orange and lemon, and some maraschino cherries. Cover and leave in teh fridge over night- thsi lets the fruits absorb the wine, etc... before serving top with a small glass of citrus flavored seltzer water. mix and serve. yo can add more sugar to taste. an easier way is to just go out ad buy the gallon jug of "real sangria." throw in the brandy, fruit and triple sec. Galen can't tell the difference between the two.

    ZHills is your place. 3-4 otters. Boxman and about 4 other organizers. There will be people there repping for the 140 way record the following weekend. casual RW dives usual range (with organizers ) from 12-20. Nightly formation loads at sunset take place as well. Close to Tampa Intl airport (30-40 mins max), free camping with great facilities, a bar that serves about any beer you can think of for 2$, swoop pond, and a landing area that could be mistaken for the state of Delaware. Usually some sort of RW pick up meets going on, but it's alittle far away to have exact details besides dates of the event. check out the web site. http://www.skydivecity.com __

    the way i look at it, skydiving is an interest. a *good* relationship can't be built around just one interest. it's based also around tolerance, patience and general compatibility. just because i meet a guy who skydives doesn't mean he's going to put up with my Trading Spaces addiction or tape reality TV for me when I'm working in the evening. Nor does it mean that I will watch questionable movies that he may think are fabulous. TO each their own. Some people just click. It's more than skydiving, but it's nice to have that in common.

    no jumping. it was galen's birthday weekend. sweet dinner at a japanese steakhouse, a surprise brunch, and a trip to the jungles of sarasota. I think he was trying to feed me to the flamingos. __

    we dont' get bonuses either. we get a nice holiday party with free food (pay for alcohol). ON our annual anniversary we get our annual raises and a polo shirt. Yay. I get small bonuses for taking on interns and doing after hours memorial services, etc. NOt much though! __

    WTF? FL weather in April is gorgeous. Ask anyone at the ZHills easter boogie last year. It's mild temps in the low 80s. __

    FL dzs deal with this a lot. call the specific DZ to get details and what you'll need to bring, as they may want verification from yor home DZ of prior training, etc. come play at ZHills! 30-40 mins from tampa intl airport. 4 otters, lots of great staff, cheap food and beer. __

    At both ZHills and Cross Keys you get a jump ticket for every firs ttiem tandem student or AFF level 1 student. __
