Im not a dog lover, but I don't mind dogs at the DZ. As long as they are not in the way. At Spaceland, the pond area is a good place for dogs. Lots of grass and shade. Thats a good point. And there is a new factor to consider at my DZ, our dropzone is on the Edge of Class B airspace. This means no jumprun over the top of the DZ. Unfortunately, it's not gonna change for awhile, if ever. This weekend, I learned the importance of GLIDE. I need less diving and groundhungry - but alot more glide potential. I've always heard a spinning Stilleto can get away from you real fast. Mikey's really sounds like a brake came unstowed the way it seemed onheading then went into the spin. Going straight from a square to a full ellipical.. ? Im really wondering about trying an airlock canopy too. The Vengence (I think) is the PD version? Fly Your Slot !

The PD Tour is at my DZ this weekend. Im not generally very adventurous when it comes to gear, but what should I try? I have just under 400 jumps, and Im on my second canopy, a Sabre120, loaded about 1.3. Im thinking try a Stilleto. Thanks Fly Your Slot !

That's were I screwed up!! Im coming out of my 'sink' higher that I want to , trying to get back to full flight before flair time. Almost broke my leg this weekend sinking in too low and release back to death speed right before hitting the ground... Im thinking (now that you've kick started my brain) sink in at "not so steep" of an angle and save the right amount of flare for the end. LIGHTBULB - Thx! Fly Your Slot !

Im an Insurance Agent, Licensed for Life Insurance for 12 years. Having worked for two of the big ones, State Farm and Allstate, most of these carriers will take you, but with a 'RATING' (extra charge) to cover your hazard. Generally, If the application does not ask if you skydiving (ie: "Do you, have you ever or do you current plan to engage is activities including scuba, skin or skydiving, rock or mountain climbing ...) then you should check the policy EXCLUSIONS very carefully. Both carriers wanted 70-100 monthly to cover me for skydiving. Allstate had me fill out a 4 page questionaire about skydiving including my USPA NUMBER, number of jumps, frequency , DROP ZONE etc. BEFORE they would give me a price. I found that my current employers GROUP COVERAGE does not ask or exclude skydiving. I just bought an extra lump sum through the company group plan. Good Luck! Paula Fly Your Slot !

"Load 22, 20 way , Dirt Dive.." we are now on a 20 minute call. It's the almost Sunset Load. Tom calls out the base, it's a Texxas Star, of course, 5 way base, then zipper grips, then stingers. Im a zipper. Second point, zippers open up and stingers fly into the star, then a big 22 way round. It's Richard's first 20 way. Richard is they guy who loads our plane, counts heads, checks for exit order. He's always working when we are flying, but not this load. Freefly the exit with 9 floaters and a 3 row across door jam. Im in the rear of the door row two. Thank God, I was behind Scotty, he really knows how to jam in good. I had perfectly clean air on exit and very little traffic to my slot. "Don't dock hard.." I think I said out load under my full face, then docked nice and light. I looked across the formation watching the stingers on the other side dock. Then the BIG KEY and opened the zipper so our tail could fly in. Grabbed his leg while he was flying past, and WOW- POINT 2! I was amazed and trying to look for the key, but I lost Tom...then both guys started kicking ...guess thats the key. I came into the round ..It's such an incredible rush to see 22 people's faces in freefall. 3 point 22 way. Im still grinnin! Fly Your Slot !
