5K was clear - Say Hi to my good friend Kimmie. Blonde freeflier. We took AFF at the same home DZ. I also saw Cypress Joe (freeflier)...wondered - do they call him Cypress Joe at San Marcos? Alan Flynn is just everywhere. He got Mikie and I on a load right away. I also met "Mark and Mary??" Couple, I think...matching jumpsuits and rigs. And what's up with all the long haired dudes.....geez, thought I died and went to heaven! Fly Your Slot !

Richard, glad you found a home at SkyDive Houston. My home DZ, Skydive USA closed down this year. I jump at Spaceland in Houston 1) proximity, 20 minutes from home 2) Good load organizers 3) Excellent Aircraft For those of you who say " no one was friendly, no one talked to me"..... Remember, those of us on a "Big Drop Zone" have dozen of Spectators, Tandem 1, Kids. Ask manifest to be hooked up with a group to match your skill level. Spaceland recently started putting Name Tags on Tandem Level 1 Students. At first, I thought it looked corny, but now, I can go up and talk to a student, Identify them as Tandem Level 1's and know what to chat about. It's really cool now that I'm used to it. It's these kinds of inovative idea's that will sell the general public on our sport. Fly Your Slot !

Although Susan was dancing on the table because the weather was socked in and she could not skydive. Since the incident happened at the Tavern and not the drop zone, I do not believe this justifies a "skydiving accident" . Cyndi, help me out here. Fly Your Slot !

and they Xerox'd everyone's breast and we played "guess the breast" .... I think it's before Kelli time, but one time, at band camp, we all painted our asses and put butt prints on Walt's canopy. Walt went into the craft shop and said " I need a paint that will wash off the body but wont damage nylon." But no one ever got hurt like Shawn. We were lucky doing bored skydiver shit. So one time, at band camp...... It was socked it, so we decided to pull a knee-board behind a pick-up truck in the landing area. No serious injuries, just a lot of mud and 'bored skydivers' video. Then there was the time, like many dropzone's, the winds were high one winter day day in Texas, and we got out the old GIANT ROUND. They rigged some handles to it, and we rode the creepers down the taxiway, with the golf cart following close for good 'bored skydivers' video. I had some nice scrapes and bruises from the Creeper Rides after I biffed. No serious injuries though. Play Safe! If you're gonna be stupid, you gotta be tough. Fly Your Slot !

Just to play devil's advocate...One thing I like about this sport is that we are all JUST SKYDIVERS. My reaction to your idea was "this is what causes clicks and politics" Everyone in Houston knows Wends is Big Ass Beer Night. Everyone who can usually shows. I tend to think, I'D RATHER JUST BE A SKYDIVER!! Fly Your Slot !
