Another Exit Order Question: Hybrid

how come DZ just do jump-run crosswind. That would eliminate the exit order problem right? Na' Cho' Cheese -
Mr. Bill Jump today
packing_jarrett replied to packing_jarrett's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
dude I had to work hard and show some effort to let people trust me with what I'm doing. The whole camera thing I had been working on since I started jumping. they just didn't hand me a camera, I did some training and went into it gradually. The BW 116 came even slower in time. I was very conservative the canopy progresion not skipping one step at all. I understand why you would put something like that but if you saw the things I went through to have so much fun you'd think differently. I know the dangers in this sport I've seen people get hurt and I know the outcome as well as or more than any other skydiver. Tim, I think it would be awsome to do another. You have to start somewhere and I'm pretty sure the second one would be even better. Maybe someone could hang onto me and do the Mr. Bill. Oh and to everyone who concerns about my safety: I have to clear just about every jump with my dad, my dad is my personal S&TA. He tells me when and when not to jump and also who and who not to jump with. I don't think its fair to say what can and cannot be done by just blindly looking at jump numbers. Na' Cho' Cheese -
dude actually one this one time this guy woud have gotten good footage but didn't want to set a bad impression on skydiving so he didn't sell his video see Safety and Training>Leg straps for details. the guy did the right thing. Na' Cho' Cheese

well now that you mention the whole not turning the camera on. this one time this dude forgot to turn on his camera, or it shut off, one of the two. but luckily the guy who chased the tandem turned his on and used his footage. kind of a feak accident maybe and we use cam-eye's-now Na' Cho' Cheese

dude there's been a few way worse than that. 1) tandem master had a hard time getting the drogue out and the cameraman couldn't keep up. he didn't get one shot at all. $70 2) premature reserve deployment right off the step got just about nothing but a view from cameramans angle of chute. full price of $70 3)rooking video guy had a bad exit and went to early absolutley nothing $70 Na' Cho' Cheese

yeah dude awhile ago a tandem master's b-12 snap came undon and the camerman came in and docked and hooked it up in freefall. don't know what would have happened if it was left undone. Na' Cho' Cheese

Mr. Bill Jump today
packing_jarrett replied to packing_jarrett's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Allright we're in NW weather so the cieling is pretty low. nothing much to do but hop-n-pops. Flippin' sweet how about a Mr. Bill jump. Me and my buddy Dan-o had never done one before but seen other people. we practiced the exit a few times and were satisfied and all. Got in the plane for 6K. The climb out was as really long, probably a minute or two. its a 182 so I was going to be the hanger and I was in the crotch and he was inside step-ish. I didn't get much of a grip but what the hell if it was easy it wouldn't be fun. Good exit went a little head down and pitched. his lines flipped through are feet (no biggy) as soon as we reached line stretch that crappy hold came off. Luckily I had my legs around his around his and he had a good stong hold on my altimeter. So I'm like dangling there head down and there's massive line twists, the whole time I'm yelling hold it hold it!!! Narroting like only 4 more twists left. so he kind of pics me up and I'm sitting on his lap facing each other holding somewhat of a debrief and then 4K came around and Dan-o is like while you better be jumping. "yeah when ever" a few more seconds of small talk and I fall off. There is nothing that I can say to describe the feeling- kind of like your first jump- watch him and keep him in view. I tried to pick up some speed so I wouldn't have a snivler and pitched and was in the saddle by 2.5K. it was the coolest jump out of my 122 and my camera wasn't even on. Na' Cho' Cheese -

with my little to just about zero experience. If you don't have a ring site then you don't have to worry about it being bumped and stuff. am I correct. Na' Cho' Cheese

since were talking about batwings... I've made almost a dozen jumps on my BW. All of my opening have been off heading which results in the canopy turning for a while after opening, (I've heard of ellip. canopies doing this) I then correct the turn by using the rear risers but when I release it turns continues to turn. so all the while I stowing the slider, adjusting leg straps I'm in a slow turn. I know its not dangerous but how concerned should I be? Has anyone else had this problem? P.S. I might regret posting this Na' Cho' Cheese

I was jumping out of a U206 in Cali. and it was really fast for a piston, something like 5 people to 13K in under 20 minutes Na' Cho' Cheese

dude that sucks. I hope you got your money out of it Na' Cho' Cheese

and if someone did get a malfunction, its not nescirily the packers fault. There's 4 factors that it could be. 1. the packjob was sloppy 2. the body position was bad (i.e. head down or turning) 3. It could be old/worn out gear or it could be what I call the stuff happens factor where it could be brand new gear and and iron neat packjob with a perfect body position, and still have a bad opening. I'd still fly the F-16. But when I went to McCord AFB all the cool jocks were flying the cargo planes and the nerds/geeks were flying the fighters. whats this world coming too? Na' Cho' Cheese

My first time coming here to jump. I filled out the waiver and was on a load within 15 minutes. It was nice being in the caravan with only 5 people. Kind of a tandem factory but they had time when the instructors got off at the end of work for some upjumper loads. The landing area was hard dirt and gusty at times but thats the only thing I can complain about.

I wouldn't vote for it. the chart says I need to be at a 170 when I've already jumped a 120!!! Na' Cho' Cheese -
BH rat-hat bought it for a camera helmet and freeflying. works nice. a lot of people says it looks stupid. I'm having buyers remorce Na' Cho' Cheese
