  1. also wouldn't all black canopy pack up bigger. It would be heavier too. Na' Cho' Cheese
  2. I say niether. Go with static line Na' Cho' Cheese
  3. its unlikely but its happened. Na' Cho' Cheese
  4. yeah 2 brand new canopies: sabre 2 210 and a fusion 190 seemed it was to different types. The fusion was easier to pack by far. but maybe the 20sqft made a big difference. Na' Cho' Cheese
  5. for a noobie packer a fusion is easier to pack than a sabre 2. Thats one reason why you might want one. Na' Cho' Cheese
  6. I'm sure my experience plays a part in it. but I and others that have jumped this canopy say that this canopy needs a new lineset or I need to choose something better. I'M SURE IF I WAS LANDING THE CANOPY INCORRECTLY then people wouldn't let me jump the thing. I'm at a comfortable range of canopies for my learning ability (not what you think it should be) but everyone has their opinions. Na' Cho' Cheese
  7. your right They way I stow it there is blindness. not much compared from what I've experienced when stowing the slider behind my head. You don't have to worry anymore, I'm getting a new canopy soon. Not that I think that the batwing is too highperformance but its very inconsistent ie. openings mainly, and landings have been weird. Previous owner had the same problems. Na' Cho' Cheese
  8. dude they all have said the same thing and I do the same thing they all tell me to do. Is there something else that they would tell me different. Na' Cho' Cheese
  9. hold on... whats wrong with this idea. I've been doing this for 100 jumps and haven't had a single problem with it. It doesn't come undone unless I have a cutaway. Tell me how its stupid. edit to add: I do get coaching from people who have more exp. and they don't see anything wrong with it. Na' Cho' Cheese
  10. BoneHead rat-hat with PC7 Na' Cho' Cheese
  11. what I do for my 116 is collapse it then just pull it all the way down to the cheststrap, undo the excess strap from the elastic, and tack the slider down with the excess by sticking it back in elastic. picture Na' Cho' Cheese
  12. right on guys. I just found the thread in history forum. I see that my dad has already posted in there (brett martin). Na' Cho' Cheese
  13. Who put it together? Dave Hughes? are you an old time paso jumper? When I went to Lompoc this winter there seemed no talk of paso. good times.... yeah... I remember flying back and forth in the 206 from lompoc to paso a few times. Na' Cho' Cheese
  14. how old are those pictures. Thats star farms right? That trampoline looks familier. Do they still have that high dive/deck set up? Na' Cho' Cheese
  15. yeah... red hot chili peppers. I've messed around with that new dani california for some freefly footage and it seems to go nice with a fast paced rw jump. Na' Cho' Cheese
  16. how many skydivers does it take to cram a PC7 into a d box? I got a d box (free is a good price) made for a PC120 and ripped off the foam and stuff to hold my pc7. the fit is terrible. like the box is too wide and short. the lid is bending around the top of my camera and I can see some space between the wall and camera. The camera seems secure but how strong will the d box hold the lid on. I've made a jump with it and it seems fine but if someone else has had a problem with the lide just popping off because of pressure I'm going to stop using it. Also how come people don't make a D-box for the PC7? Na' Cho' Cheese
  17. isn't it a requirement to make a closing loop before getting an a license? Na' Cho' Cheese
  18. yeah help me out too. I want a brand new stiletto 120 I'm talking no jumps, a new container as long as it doesn't have over a dozen. I need it by friday. if the rig has more than a dozen don't bother giving it to me. Na' Cho' Cheese
  19. congrats... I've been reading your posts of the stages you went through from first jump till now. I think that is so cool. All the different obstacles. Cool Na' Cho' Cheese
  20. Aw well there goes my moment of glory. Now I have to try to find someone else to try to correct. Jarrett-0 DZ.commers- 200 Na' Cho' Cheese
  21. Hate to be a smart alek but doesn't stand for zero permeability...? (sp?). I think thats what its called maybe its a big debate issue but in the FAA riggers guide its permeability. Na' Cho' Cheese
  22. yeah I packed my first one a month or too ago. The only beef I have with them is if they have a cypress then you have to use the soft bodkins with the pull up cord trick. I ended up getting the pullup cord around the wrong side of the cutter and had to do the whole thing over aaaarg. but when I did a 2K3 without a cypress the closing part was a breeze. I don't know if I like packing it in a speed bag. I couldn't imagine packing a power racer with a speed bag. Na' Cho' Cheese
