Because skyride isn't a DZ, it is a company that, among other industries in addition to skydiving, is supposed to serve a purpose to those interested in the skydiving community (or other industry it operates within), but does so on a national scale. Now, if you are referring to ASC (which is not skyride at all, but a dropzone with independent staff, and the afformentioned new skydiving equipment) you'll have to ask them. Though I believe 1800 skydive is, in fact, for skyride and not ASC. feel free to correct me if i am wrong on that. You may be confusing a Cary owned DZ with a Cary owned skyride business. Worrrrrrd. My dell cr*pped out on me 2 weeks ago. 3rd dell, had the same problems over about an 8 year period, i finally threw in the towel. ordered a 15" macbook pro which was delivered yesterday- just in time for them to announce all the new upgrades. Sh*t. Was on hold for 2 hours (understandably so due to the launch traffic). within a few minutes of talking to the nice english speaking rep, I had ANOTHER brand new upgraded 15" on the way. they emailed me shipping labels for the one I had just received to ship to their returns department ON THEM, no charge to me, at which point I will be refunded- including the extra $150 i spent on the initial purchase being that the new ones are cheaper. ALSO, they added the new MBP to my original order, so all rebates I submitted will not be effected. I haven't even opened/turned on my new macbook pro and I am overly satisfied with it!!! your analogy still sucks. how 'bout this: he decides to leap/long jump out the door of the airliner expecting a jetway. He does this despite being told there was an airstair by crew and passengers before he boarded and before he exited the plane. Additionally he could see there was no jetway before he went for his long jump out the door. this first time he managed to land halfway down the stairs without falling and walked down. Then the next day with some of the same passengers, the same plane, on the same airline, @ the same airport, @ the same gate, the same crew telling him the same thing to expect, while he saw the same visual picture out door... he STILL does the exact opposite of what everyone told him, and what would be the logical decision to make while seeing no jetway. He goes for a long jump...again... clears the airstair this time and breaks himself. Meanwhile, everyone scratches their head trying to figure out why anyone would ignore every warning 2 days in a row and still try to long jump an airstair! Darwin is proven right again... Hmmmm, except that he makes an excellent argument for the slippery slope and what would become necessary for the stellar student in question or speuci to make skydiving legally acceptable. Sad truth is, people like that will ALWAYS find a way to try and get money out of a like situation, so taking a stand against their stupidity now is absolutely the best option. We accrue PTO (paid time off) as we work. im in the 2-5 year bracket and accrue 22 days annually- that includes holidays, vacation, sick days, and personal days. PTO is any and all paid time off, sucks. every 2 weeks i accrue roughly 6.5 hours of PTO, 8 hours equalling one day off. the catch is, being in sales, i can't leave the office if my numbers are low. in this ever so inspiring economy, no one is buying so i get stuck in the office. memorial day was the first day off since new years- the office was closed for the holiday. i want a vacation!
