  1. Wow, I don't know what to say. Do not watch that if you are using drugs. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  2. Chronicle III Millenium 2 Those were both awesome videos. Still are. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  3. After what happened last night that is an option I will seriously consider in the future. I'm sorry about your friend but like I said I didn't jump alone, there were people on the ground watching me exit the airplane and watching me land. Do you give all your family and friends a courtesy call at the end of every day jumping? If you knew me personally rather than assume your a better/safer skydiver you would have read that post and thought it was a good story. The fact is it was nothing more than a slight misunderstanding and I do appreciate the concern for my safety of whoever called the police. Joe. 4. That is some advice I will remeber next time. Thanks. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  5. I definately appreciate the concern of the people who called on my behalf. I'm afraid my post may have come off as I was upset at them, I am not. Notam filed, in communication with control tower, DZ knew I was doing the jump, and friends on ground were expecting my arrival. Who exactly didn't I tell? Would you like me to put out a press release next time. Our club members do this kind of thing on a weekly basis I have jumped in and around the Lincoln area several times, and I did everything the same way. My wife was able to contact me on behalf of the skydivers by calling our friends who I was with, and the police were able to find me through the Notam that was filed. A little phone tag and the problem was sovled. Flame me all you want but I don't feel anyone handled anything in this situation incorrectly and it was resolved quite quickly, (1hr 45min) I just thought I would share an interesting story. Sorry, Joe. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

Marry a non jumper and you'll have twice as much money to spend on skydiving. I glad my wife doesn't, and has no inclination to skydive. I couldn't afford both of us having this expensive of a hobby. But then again she does spend quite a bit of money. Smilie - Couchfreaks is put on by Des Moines skydivers over Labor day weekend and is THEE party boogie in the midwest. (or at least between Denver and Chicago) As for the rest of that, I've definatley learned a lot of stuff on this site. Stuff I will unfortunately never forget. Candy - Hell yeah, you gotta play with your toys. I can't belive some people don't understand this. My wife will question many of my actions when in possesion of a new toy, but she's a whuffo and just doesn't understand. Oh yeah, of course you will. Anytime I get a new toy (expensive ones anyway), you can be sure that the clothes are coming off and I'll be sportin it around the house. Anyone else do this, or should I start my own fetish thread? "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  10. Sorry I don't know what chilling dogging is but I am trying to turn the "safe word" thread into a felching thread. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

Unlike us, who are proud to say we don't have a life, and spend our saturday nights post whoring. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  13. I did a demo jump today and on the way back, rather than fly back to the DZ, I just jumped into a buddies house. Notam filed, perfectly legal jump into an area of town I'm very familiar with. Impressed the neigborhood, hung out for a while and hitched a ride home. 2 hours later, door bell rings and a very friendly officer wants to know if I am Joe Reinhard. Asks if I did a parachute jump into such and such an area earlier today, I say yes. He says "oh, thank god" apparently they've been searching for my body for a couple of hours. Concerned bystanders called the police after watching me come close to the ground and fall out of my parachute (hook turn). So my phone is still in my truck at the DZ the entire time. Meanwhile my wife's phone is ringing off the hook with other skydivers, who have been contacted by the airport authority and state patrol, and are trying not to worry her but still find out if I'm alive. She calls our friends whose house I jumped into and finds out I'm fine. She informs my skydiving friends that I'm OK and they tell her that she needs to call the state patrol because they are sending out a helicopter to assist in the search. She calls and everything is now fine. So that made for an exciting end to a good day. My only concern now, is that future demo jumps around town may be monitored more strictly by airport authority. All because some whuffo (who had no idea what they saw) sent the police on a two hour manhunt. Hope your weekend is as exciting as mine. Joe. 14. I feel that was a very informative and educational post as to the proper use of a "safe word". It also explains why insurance companies would exclude "auto-erotica" in their Accidental Death and Dismemberment policies and shows the dangers of firing gerbils from you ass. Plus its a pretty funny story. Joe. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  15. Yeah, I've seen a couple different versions of it, I just thought it was a good example of a Safe Word. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  16. I remembered this from a few years ago. Anytime things start going wrong at work someone yells "Armageddon, Armageddon". Poor Gerbil. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  17. Everyone but Sunshine. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  18. Lucky bastard "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  19. Oh good, I feel much safer now, and I'm totally up for that. Yeah, and I can't post in the "singles only" thread either. I'm tired of being an outcast just because I'm married. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  20. Stop that. Your making me blush. What kinda "play" are we talking about. Cause if it involves Garden Gnomes I'm not interested. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  21. Damn it! You beat me. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  22. It involves Garden Gnomes, and would belong in the "kinky sex only" thread. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  23. Oh boy, my grandma would tear things up in this tread. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  24. Never miss it. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
  25. God forbid you'd have to drive all the way across Iowa without "window tint". Come on Sunshine, come to Nebraska and meet this guy: The Toe Licker (the pictures are about 3/4 of the way down.) Hes practically a celebrity. 5 dollars (paid to me) will get you an autograph, and for 5 jump tickets he'll lick any thing off your toes. I Know how much you like to get your toes licked, or was that massaged. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."
