why go to the pub? This is way better, and way more interactive. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

Awww...look at that. You got Erika's very first post. I hope you feel special Jeff. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

how did I miss that? "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

Alrighty. Its tuesday night, lets see how many people we can fit on the map. See ya there. Joe. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

I totally agree. This is way better than the Pub. We should all start meeting there once a week. Mostly so that we are all there at the same time, but partly so I'm not there all the time. I've been spending way to much time in there. I vote for tuesday night. What works for everybody else. Joe. I'm Skydiving Nerd I didn't think I would be spending this much time there when I chose my name. Joe. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

alright, I'm headed back. Anyone want to join me? If its anything like yesterday we're gonna need more chicks. Joe. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

We need more people in here! It is very cool. Joe. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

I saw that the other day. Wow. What do you think he was on? That guy was beyond wasted. Definitely a real Jackass. Joe. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

That was really cool. It's like a virtual chat room. You can change your appearance, buy clothes, rent jet skis, dance at the dance club, and even skydive. but I spent most of my time just rollerblading around and talking to people. It took while to get used to the controls but it was worth it. pretty cool. I bought a pair of leather pants but when I tried to put them on the game kinda clithed on me and I was left walking around in my whitey tighties. It was embarrassing. Thanks for the link. Joe. I've been on an unsuccsessful 10 way that had 8 in, but the largest planned and completed formation was 7. Those were some of my most memorable jumps. Joe. Edit: Sorry, those were head down. Head up is much harder. I think the number is 4 and that was ugly, actual solid formation with all head up is probably 3 to be truthful. What the HELL is that suppose to mean? "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

"freak dance" if I had one of those things on my face I would be screaming like a girl and thrashing about uncontrollably. Or a shotgun.

Hell yeah! I grew up in a small town next to G.I. Livin in Lincoln now (bout an hour and a half from Grand Island). Did a demo jump in there just a couple of months ago. As noted here Sorry, but off the top of my head I can't think of one damn thing to do in that town. As I remember it the girls from GI were easy but they were also high schoolers, so be careful. Joe. I could have used multiple answers on that one. If I'm headdown I always face the direction of the track, leaving me on my back and roll half way or closer to pull. Sit flying I don't really have any set method but I try really hard to always know where everyone is from my dive before pulling. If I don't know where someone is for whatever reason I'll continue to look for them and I'll hum it a little low. If you don't know where everyone from your group is at break off then there is a good possibility that there were to many people without enough skill where on that dive. Joe. Awe man. Reading this is driving me nuts. 2 days, 21 hours till I leave. I'm so depressed. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

what are your ideas, opinions, etc on marriage???
freeflyimpaired replied to windcatcher's topic in The Bonfire
Marriage gets two thumbs up in my book. My wife and I have been together for 7 years married for 3 and I can still say she's my best friend and I can't think of anyone else I'd rather hang out with on a Saturday night. Even if it is just sitting at home. Joe. Wait one minute, your telling me that you actually PAID for that haircut. Do you know how many people at the DZ would have lined up to cut your hair. I don't know what to do about your ceremony but you definitely need to keep the hawk for freaks. We'll see you there. Joe. Where did you (or more importantly, where can I) find that account???? "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so." -
So when is everybody showing up? A large group from LSPC is headed up on Tuesday night, like usual, but it doesn't look like I'm gonna make it up til friday. I'm considering quitting my job and going up tuesday but I doubt that will happen. Joe. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

Grue, you've got way to many people to meet to not show up this year. Even if you don't jump, everybody from every dropzone within 300 miles will be there. Get to couch, meet some new friends and then no matter where you go in the midwest you'll have someone to jump with. Make it happen. Joe. "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

How much did it cost you to get your "A" license?
freeflyimpaired replied to grue's topic in The Bonfire
FJC - $160 4 more Static lines - $200 1 Recurrency Training Somewhere in there - $25 8 student jumps @ 35 - $280 17 jumps @ 12 - $204 Membership - $40 Total - $909 with an average of $36 per jump. But, it took me over a year to get that done. How did u pay for ur rig?
freeflyimpaired replied to FrEaK_aCcIdEnT's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Paid cash for a sleek $400 dollar rig and replaced canopies and container as I could afford them individually over the next year and a half. That allowed me to wait for that good deal on each part (buying used). This year I purchased a new container and reserve with cash. The way I see it the more credit card debt I have the less jumps I get to make next month. Joe.
