If the president could stand for a third term...
DaVinci replied to speedy's topic in Speakers Corner
I didn't say what they voted on, I said what they said about SH and WMD's. *** -

Berger thought SH had them and would use them again, Kerry thought the same, Gore too. What possible reason did they have to support Bush? -
You seem to just ignore over half of the posts in this thread.

State of the Union - Tuesday, January 23, 2007, 9pm Est
DaVinci replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
I found it really just more of the same. For a second I thought he was going to not send the extra troops...Then it went back to the normal BS. The part about civilian reserves was kinda new. Anyone got any info on that? -
Clinton ordered attacks in Iraq. He also ordered Bosnia and Somalia. Clinton did seem to ignore terrorists. Reagan did also..OK Ronnie helped raise them. Bush 2 was the first President to deal with this level of terrorism. He will not be the last.

OMG...It has already happend?!?!?!?! OK< not really. I can see after a serious attack that the SAME thing you just wrote about happens again. I would not support anything above that. Lawrocket...you took an oath to defend the Constitution if the President tried a power grab like that it would be unconstitutional and I would have a real issue with it...wouldn't you? -
Berger NSA thought it was the right thing to do, and so did Tommy Franks CMD Central Command.

27.... Both houses can pass with 2/3rds and there is some part about a bunch of states can get amendments through a process. But honestly I don't recall the number of states needed nor the percentages needed. Nor the exact process....Can I look now?

A well thought out post. I would add that she suffers from DZ.com syndrome as well. Whats that you ask? (I hope you don't know cause I just made it up). How many on here that have REALLY stong views about something discuss these topics ALL the time in the real world? I would bet not many, or at least not at the level on here. She is a political person. So it is her JOB to walk around giving her opinion on things and trying to make things she likes happen. So she (and other political types) LIVE in a world where they are always giving their opinion. Anyone that disagrees with that opinion is going to automaticly not agree and dislike them. The more that person gives an opinion, the more the other side is going to dislike them. For me. She never held a political office until she moved to a state where she could be elected. I dislike the idea of someone hiring a company to do polls to find out where a person has the best chance of being elected and then moving there. I cannot help but think of "carpet baggers" after the civil war. I do not think guns should be outlawed. I do not think the US should turn to socialized health care. I do not think she represents what I think and want. For those reasons I do not want her to be President. Like her? I don't know her to like/dislike her. I do not like what she claims to want to do.

I'd just call it a lie. Or maybe he some REALLY nutzo ideas of "uniting"
-
There is no correlation to your claim of "flip floping" and the approval rating. Any President in a war today will have a poor approval rating. Add in that the major cause seems to have been wrong (call it a lie, or bad it intel really does not matter for this discussion) and there is no way the President is going to remain popular. If Bush now said that he didn't think SH had WMD's, or that invading was stupid...THAT would be a flip or a flop.

The same thing that sparks hatred of Jeb Bush in the White House to Dems....They can not look past the party, or the name.

So maybe he changed his mind about the WMD and martial law issue as well? Why is one held to equal gold (the one you support), but the other is out dated (the one you dislike)? All in the SAME article from the SAME man? -
Cool, but it will not change the fact that three very top Dems thought SH had WMD's. And that tons of others also felt the same way.

"Amazon, get your gun." (provided of course they are not outlawed) Now, what are you gonna say when it does not happen? Are you still going to claim it will happen if a Dem gets elected next time? Did you read the rest of that article? He said some nice things about Bush. “As I look at President Bush, I think he will ultimately be judged as a man of extremely high character. A very thoughtful man, not having been appraised properly by those who would say he’s not very smart. I find the contrary. I think he’s very, very bright. And I suspect that he’ll be judged as a man who led this country through a crease in history effectively. Probably we’ll think of him in years to come as an American hero.” -
Kerry, Berger, And Gore are Right wingers? They all thought we had enough proof.
-
I have, YOU are the one trying to make this thread about Bush...We got it, you hate the guy.
-
It really does not matter. We are going to have people who don't vote for her since she is female, but we will have people who vote for her because she is female. Just like we are going to have people vote for her since she is a Clinton, just like others will not since she is a Clinton. Or that she is a Democrat will be enough, just like being a Republican is enough for others. I personally think she is the last person I would vote for due to several issues mainly her opinions on several things. But some are going to vote based on the litmus test on that she is female, a democrat, and a Clinton.

Man Kicked Off Flight for Wearing Bush Bashing T-shirt

Or he acted fine on flight number one and acted like an ass on flight number two. Not everything in the world is about defending Bush or attacking him. -

Different versions of "god"...same as always. -
People do that all the time here. Most never let the little things like PROOF get in the way of opinion.
-
People say that every time, and yet it is always more of the same.

Man Kicked Off Flight for Wearing Bush Bashing T-shirt
DaVinci replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Maybe a different flight crew. The crew has final say on EVERYTHING that happens on a flight. Maybe the guy wore a jack on the last flight and no one saw the Tshirt. Maybe on the first flight no passengers complained so it was not an issue that was brought up. Maybe the guy pushed harder this time...Which begs the question, was this other flight that same day? Or was he in the habit of wearing that shirt as his travel shirt? If so, why? -

Seems they asked him to change and he refused. Seems he was asked and refused. They had the right to kick him off. Now I personally think it is silly to kick someone off for a Tshirt and equally as silly to refuse to change it when asked. -

Thats what you think, but that does not make it the truth. Pain is a great teacher. That is a fact.
