  1. A major difference. We are not saying we are going to wipe a nation off the face of the earth. Also, we already have them, and they are not going away. However, in 50 years we have used them once to *stop* a war. In the other 50 years we have been in several other wars and never used them. We are not going to use them. They don't work well for anything other than being a deterent. Thats why NK wants them, and maybe why Iran wants them as well. However, the rules change a bit when a country states it wants to wipe another off the face of the planet. Not even at the height of the cold war did the US or the USSR say that. Simple slice of reality here...Nuclear weapons are not going away. But we really need to try and prevent countries with known agendas from getting them. As for Nuclear power...Give then CANDU reactors all day long. As for weapons no. And I would love to reduce the worlds number of nuclear weapons (this includes the US's) to the smallest number that will prevent anyone from using them. For is one guy has the only one. He will use it as a trump card.
  2. Maybe the best thing said on here in years. It is easy to sit in the back after the fact and say what you would have done better.
  3. The irony in your post is great...bitching about the US getting involved in other business...Hello!!!! What do you think you are doing? Then you should ask why YOU invaded as well. Don't just blame the US. What is more fair than the very people he lead judging him by their laws? If we had brought him to the States, you guys would be crying how we killed him without a fair trial. The problem is not the energy, but the weapons. They are not building CANDU reactors, they are wanting to build wepaons. So power = not an issue. Weapons in the hands of a country that has sworn to wipe another country off the face of the planet = Problem I wish we could just get out of everywhere. Stop sending money all over the world and close up our borders to almost everyone. But that is in no way able to happen. How about YOURcountry do something? Start with Darfur...Fix it. Go ahead, we will wait.
  4. You have made a few posts without these kinds of made up issues. Banter with you on those has been great. Do you have any facts to back up any of your statements? 1. Bush is following PNAC....Why? 2. Out doing Daddy. Anything to back up that claim? Again, this is nothing but an unsupported rant. I LOVE how you ignored how non military Presidents have sent the country to fight BTW. And how Clinton was about as non-military as you can get and sent troops into harms way more than once. Please, you are smart...Try debating with facts and not attacks or rants.
  5. Iran also has a history of violence. In America a person with a violent history would not be allowed to own a weapon. People with violent history's should not be allowed weapons. That I agree with. The problem with most gun control campains is that they are not going to stop criminals, only law abiding people. We have enough gun laws on the books...We need to enforce them, not make new ones.
  6. The thing is we have proof people forged things to make him look bad, no one has proof he did anything to lose his records. Having been in the military you know that they lose records all the time. My shot records were lost so much that every 6 mths I become a human pin cushion. At that time in the ANG? Maybe nothing. Stories of the ANG and people doing all kinds of crazy things are normal. I have a buddy who was a flight surgeon in the ANG and tells me all kinds of crazy stories. Stories like him flying aircraft he was not qualified to fly to maintain his flight status. Simple fact is this "AWOL" bit is old news and has been played out. It has been used as an attack against him for 30 years and the only time the attackers have had any real "evidence" it was proven to be forged.
  7. Quit trying to make sense. 30 years of trying to keep track of some obscure documents should not be that hard right? I mean you could just fake some if you needed them right?
  8. Nice logical fallicy.."Appeal to Emotion" At least that post didn't have a personal attack nor a reference to Nazi-anything. But, if you look back at the polls from back then the majority of Americans supported Bush.
  9. Again never said Gore, you did. You tried to make it seem otherwise, but that does not make it true.
  10. I don't think machine guns should be illegal either.
  11. I didn't miss anything. As others pointed out, you took a shot and it failed. One thing that just cracks me up is when somone tries to claim Bush stole the first election, but cannot explain how he won the second one.
  12. Your guys lost twice, get over it.
  13. Wow now thats funny, you cry about personal attacks...Then make one!!!!
  14. I did not mention election one or two. Are you claiming that the second time he did not have the majority? Who mentioned Gore? The second time (after W "stole" the election) he won yet again.
  15. Oh, I have heard it. But I think those that say it are have other issues. And that stooping to that level is stupid.
  16. The majority elected. Your opinion...Other opinions differ. Bush was in the NG. You have provided no proof to any wrong doing. Several other gov leaders have never served either Pelosi, Clinton (Bill and Hillary), Obama, Jefferson never served but he sent troops to fight in the Mediterranean. Monroe never served, James Madison didn't either but he lead the US to war, FDR WW2,....ect. Military service is not required. Then you support the draft?
  17. More of the same. You can not help it can you? This right there makes any point you have disapear into thin air. And BTW I never once said you were unpatriotic...Go ahead find an example. People have been saying that since he wrote that book.
  18. People carry guns for a number of reasons. My parents both carry, but they are both older and not physically able to fight off an attacker. My sister, brother and myself all have CHL's. My sister never carries, I pretty much never carry, and my brother often has a weapon with him or in his car. None of the times I carry is because I like having a gun. In fact most times it is a bigger pain to carry than it is worth. But I support the right. And what I never get is how some have an issue with a person legally carrying? We KNOW that criminals carry guns. So why not allow law abiding citizens to carry as well?
  19. A load of crap. Just because someone choses to carry a gun means only that they recognize that there could be a threat and decide to protect themselves from it. Just like Von said "If the AAD serves only as a backup, it's a good thing overall. If it lets you get on more dangerous skydives, knowing that your AAD will save you if you get hit hard, it hurts you more than it helps you." If you do the same with a gun, you are an idiot. But calling people names since they decide to carry is pathetic.
  20. Taking MLK day off is not a failure. If this becomes a norm, then it is a failure.
  21. It is an emotionally charged issue and it will "sell papers". I doubt there is much more to it than that.
  22. See nothing but hatred, attacks, and unfounded nutjob conspiracy theories. I have no real issue with you having nutjob theories, but your clear attacks on anyone that dares disagree with you is pretty sad. "RePUBICans" "Lord and master" Like I said, it is not your ideas but your consistent attacks on anyone that does not goose step in line with *your* thinking....Ironic as hell when you call them NAZI's.
  23. So repetative posts are un-needed? Like all the ones where you bash the President? I mean, why post it when you have posted it a bunch already?
