    I think these idiots fall into a catagory I like to call "ATNA". (all talk, no action) I wouldn't waste one second of my time being peronoid. I also have been tossing this around... better yet, coordinate this effort with local police, FAA, and as few officials as possible (you don't want anyone tipping them off).     A student shouldn't be allowed into the plane with out an altemeter! His/her insturctor should have caught this on the ground before boarding. I do wear two; a pillow mount on a chest strap and a wrist mount. I have borrowed one or the other several times. Once to an instuctor who’s student’s altimeter had malfunctioned on the way up.     A good DZO cares about his TI's! Maybe he makes money on the weekend, and his TI's make money during the week. Here, an upstart DZO used Groupon to introduce his new business to the area. There is a time and place for this advertising gimick. The problem may be wether or not the DZO is smart enough to know when that is?     I'm not sure how to answer. In my experience, pulling on the rear risers (or pumping the toggles) will tend to speed up the openings, not make them longer. Just a thought, but if he is pulling them down a good 12" and holding it there, is that far enough to completely "stall" the rear of the canopy and prevent it from inflating - thereby increasing snivel time? I know this shouldn’t need to be said, but, I'm going to say it anyway. Not all canopies react the same way to inputs! Because this works for Twardo's larger canopy does not mean it'll work for yours.

    Sticks for me.... for almost 50 years now. I tried snowboarding once, caught an edge wrong and have had a headache ever since. I had this conversation with a snot nose snowboarder on a chairlift once. He told me, “snowboards are better because you can turn around and go backwards as easily as forwards. U.S. Team sponsors: Any advertiser that wants to buy space can, the more $$$ the bigger the add, all proceeds go to the U.S. Team. And I'm not talking about the regulars, go after GM, Nike, Microsoft, etc.

    We understand you're looking for positive ideas. However, when it is suggested that USPA funds or increases in dues be used for this cause, I as a dues paying member have the right and responsibility to voice my opinion on that issue. And, I will voice my opinion loudly and firmly whether you agree with me or not. Although I support the efforts of the US Team, I don’t support dues increases or “mandatory” contributions forced on me thru the USPA. And to be accurate, there have been several good ideas discussed here. Hopefully, more to come...

    I just recently went thru this.... I chose the Wings because of the significant price difference (granted I won a 50% off coupon). I absolutely love my Wings container. I'm buying another (2nd) rig and I plan on another Wings regardless of price.
