Some Drop zones keep a special rig for large people. Other DZ's will send large people to us because we can take students that are over 300 lbs. The weight is not a problem. But you must still be in decent overall physical condition. William

Not a level one student. He had about 50-60 jumps at the time.

Not to say that Cobalts are not put together well but in response to your statement: "And I do agree with an, the Cobalt is one finely put together canopy. I've got holes in the bottom skin of mine and they have not grown, or anything in over 75 jumps since they were put there." I think the fact that the holes have not spread would be more of a statement towards the quality of the raw material than the build quality. William P.S. If atair ever comes out with a cross-braced canopy I would love to try it...........Dan?

They tend to dance around a lot on opening. Usually they will still open up close to on heading but can be way of sometimes. William

I didn't see. "Make sure one of your nuts are not under one of the leg straps". This is very important. It happened to a guy at our dropzone and put him out for about a month. William

You haven't jumped any tiny cross-braced canopies have you?

It can exit fairly slow. I have not jumped out of it but I have been along side of it in an otter doing big ways. William

It is easier to go down than up. I have put a crossfire 119 in a Javelin designed for a 170 without any problem. William

Find someone who is very good and has good teaching skills to teach you. Some of us who taught ourselves did just fine, but then again some of us are in wheel chairs. This is one sport that you do not want to leaern the hard way. William

No..they will change the trim for free....also if you have spectra they will change the spectra out to Vectran for free. If you want a new line set, they will charge you for that You might want to talk to them though. I got a deal on my reline since they had to retrim it anyway. William
