Jerry Brown Pledges College Admission For Illegals
jgoose71 replied to skyrider's topic in Speakers Corner
If they came into the country legally, there wouldn't need to be any lying or fear would there? The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Once you start down the path of "what's breaking one small law?" or "everyone is doing it" the next lie or illegal act comes that much easier. I guess if you don't like a law, go ahead and ignore it. By hook or by crook, I'm gonna get mine, I don't care what it does to the country. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Jerry Brown Pledges College Admission For Illegals

Maybe because the government doesn't really provide anything for them? I know how corrupt their system is. If they provided any entitlements, their government would collapse, well fall worse than it already is. I was really hoping you would address the stuff about illegals in my post though. That was the meat and potatoes of the post. Not about their failed and corrupt government. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Jerry Brown Pledges College Admission For Illegals

I thought this needed repeating. They lied to get into the country and get a job. What makes you thing they are going to tell the truth about anything else? Why not dig up a few more fake documents to get a pell grant or other forms of tuition assistance? They can steal an identity get a student loan, get an education, then run back to your home country while the person who's identity you just stole is stuck with the bill. Why not? Chances are they already stole an identity to fill out paperwork for a job. They are here illegally. They are already lying about many things, why not lie about a few more? Isn't stealing from the government a victimless crime? Most importantly, when will I be able to go to Mexico and work their system the same way they work ours? The Mexican government needs to cough up a few more entitlements. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." "Highly successful" is highly subjective. "Or at least growing" is less subjective, but in this economy just treading water is doing better than most. The entire way you've framed the question is . . . questionable. Unions don't "run" companies; management does. There are a large number of companies that are successful and have been for decades with union members. My understanding is, for instance, Disney still makes a dime or two. The whole reason for the post is trying to get the other side of the story. Every time I turn on the news I hear about how evil unions are. Unions have a purpose. They represent the workers to the employers to make sure they are treated fairly. It seems now a days unions are willing to sacrifice the health of the company for their own personal gain though. I just recently saw an example of that with a teachers union here in the gulf coast. Like I said, they have a purpose though and I was fishing for a couple of unions that haven't gone corrupt yet. California gubernatorial candidate Whitman and her maid
jgoose71 replied to SivaGanesha's topic in Speakers Corner
Holy hell, Greta makes a decent case. It sounds like the maids lawyer, by her own words, outed the maid because, because the maid wanted to be outed, instead of recommending that the maid keep more silent. It does sound like there could be a political agenda here. I agree that there should be a deportation, but it sounds like there is more being maid out of this than there should be. Greta used to be a lawyer. I'll bet a pretty good one too. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Does any one know of any? Everyone knows about General motors, the airline unions, unions for the post office, schools, and other government agencies and companies that are failing or will never be great again that the unions have gotten a hold of. This is a serious question. What companies out there that are unionized that are highly successful or are at least growing? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. California gubernatorial candidate Whitman and her maid

Greta Van Susteren had Gloria Alfred, the lady representing Whitman's undocumented worker, on her show last night and put her to task. For anyone wanting to know the whole story you should really watch this clip. http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/on-the-record/index.html#/v/4357012/whitman-scandal-smoking-gun-or-dirty-politics/?playlist_id=86925 For anyone interested, Alfred supports Brown, Whitman's opponent in the election. Google it. Things that may you go "Hmmmmm" "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." I remember the up roar about the Judy Blume books. I read them in the fourth grade. All the up roar just made me want to read them that much more. You must be looking at the wrong poll. Let me help you: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/generic_congressional_vote-901.html Though you do have the part about do nothing but attack your opponent right. Obama is the master of partisan politics. Explains a lot. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." This is all fine and dandy, but do you think he could have done it with out all of the back room hidden deals? He could have passed it with out all the bribes and buy off passed to labor unions, pharmaceutical companies, and insurance companies. Can you explain the sky rocketing premiums? I thought they were supposed to be under control. I guess we had to line the pockets of his lackeys first to make anything happen. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. That old lie again? Don I didn't catch the retraction. I spent most of 2001 over seas. I can admit when I was wrong. Doesn't change the fact that there are going to be a lot of incumbents kicked out of office this November. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. I disagree. I think as more of the 2,000+ page bureaucracy kicks in and the hidden costs come out, people are going to line up to lynch their congressmen. Wait until November - there will be a whole bunch of democrats joining the sore-loser party too. That goes without saying. But at least the democrats don't have a period in between the primary and general elections to really make an ass out of them selves. After November we'll see stuff like what Clinton did to the white house. Trashed offices and stolen furniture. Not really publicized. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. You are correct, but not in the way you think. There are a multitude of problems that needed covering that were not covered by the health care bill that the Republicans wanted in but the democrats shut out, like tort reform, portability across state lines and what not. What obamacare did was cater to the pharmaceutical companies, health care HMO's, mandated that everyone buy it, and gave the IRS the ability to enforce it. So in a way, ya, it didn't go far enough to fix the problems. I would have to see how the poll was worded. No one is denying it needs fixed. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. As the general election draws near, and I get to know the candidates that I can vote for, there are some things that have really started to embarrass me about the republican party, the sore losers. Lisa Murkowski in my home state lost. Time to pack up her shit and go home. Time for fresh blood that hasn't been bought off. As I watch the news, there seems to be a rash of "Sore loser syndrome" going around. In Florida where I am currently living Charlie Crist, after loosing in the primary, decided to run as an independent with money he raised as a republican. They are not alone. I did a quick google search and I got the names of a few others. Bill McCollum, Bob Bennett, Bob Inglis, Mike Castle, Dede Scozzafava are all running against people they already lost to in the primaries. If us guys in the tea party wanted more of the same, they would still be in office. We want real change. Take a hint and move on. I'm embarrassed to be a republican today. Kudos to you for wanting to vote for the adult in the room, however, saying Allen Grayson speaks the truth is like saying fish can't swim. Seriously, this is the truth?- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-usmvYOPfco&p=7E90D0AE2FE1BC86&playnext=1&index=6 If you think it is, you are more partisan and more of an Ideologue than I took you for. Being a witch, no problem. Being a crazed individual that will say anything to get attention and on TV, speaks quite a bit about her motives to do anything. I realize we live in the country of "Jerry Springer", but let's not have those people running our government; ok? ...... Says the party of Al Franken and Allen Grayson Oh wait, they are Normal Democrats. Time to circle the wagons, defend away..... I know this is going to blow your mind, but I didn't vote for either of them. Is that only because they are not senators or representatives from your state? This is the new threat from Europe that may come to our shores. Be ready to pick a side. Should the government get your paycheck first?
jgoose71 replied to SkyPiggie's topic in Speakers Corner
This is far from an ideal world. I wouldn't want to fight the Gov for losing my check. The fewer people touching my check the better. +1. File a claim and some one will get back to you in 4 to 6 weeks to assist you with your problem. You don't have money to live? Sorry, no unemployment or other help, you have a job. Hope your credit cards aren't maxed out. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Exactly. To the point, they are attacking her, not her policies. They are calling her a witch, extremists, crazy, and all kinds of other things, but no one is talking about her policies. I wonder why? Another question. Which is worse, pretending to be wiccan as a teenager or doing blow and other drugs thru college? Guess who said they did that in their memoirs. I want to buy a 22 rimfire rifle, please advise
jgoose71 replied to sundevil777's topic in Speakers Corner
Every one here seems to be forgetting one of the best .22's around. The lever action. I had an Ithica lever action .22 that has lasted over 30 years. I am currently looking for one for my son. Ithica stopped making them so I was looking at the Henry Lever action. 15 rounds in the pipe, but you have to manually reload after every shot. Plus, lever actions are just cool. Henry has been around for many years. http://www.henryrepeating.com/rifle-lever-action.cfm "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying.
