  1. http://www.congress.org/congressorg/bio/userletter/?letter_id=6721155136&content_dir=congressorg Meanwhile, Boehner has stated that he will not be taking a paycheck while the budget is not passed. Seems others are following in his foot steps: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/2chambers/post/boehner-will-not-take-salary-during-shutdown/2011/04/08/AFr63A2C_blog.html Which is a nice gesture, but who is coming to help the guys who need to worry about staying alive rather than if their families have enough for food? Why, those greedy banks of course: http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2011/04/07/credit-union-to-advance-pay-for-military-customers/ So much for democrats protecting the little guy. They are to busy squabbling over $61billion in spending cuts, which is like 3 days of government spending. Never saw a spending bill they didn't like. 2. That's pretty impressive considering the amount of money that Union Officials put into the campaign, and the amount of money they spent to bus pro union people in to register and vote at the last minute (Wisconsin is one of the few states that you can register to vote and vote the same day) Despite all that, they couldn't pull it out. I guess we truly know where the heart of Wisconsin is. By the way, I thought lady liberty was supposed to be wearing a blind fold? Why are they trying to get a "liberal judge" in? What kind of dumb ass would try to vote someone in who would legislate from the bench? Are judges now broken up into "law abiding" and "activists"? Wisconsin passed a law. it's the judges duty to enforce it. Period. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 3. Robe of protection? Really? Seriously?????? I'm all for taking the guys name but if he thinks I need to be under his "robe of protection" THAT'S a deal breaker. I know a guy that took his wife's last name. If your man was that, well, easily manipulated to someone else's will, would that be a deal breaker? 4. I hate to burst your bubble, but he's not going away. He is ending his show to put together some other projects that fox news will be supporting him on. I can only speculate that it has to do with democratic corruption and fraud coming up in the 2012 election "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 5. I noticed that during the interview they had a close up of the mom's hands with no ring. Single parent. Go figure. I wonder how many issues the kid would be having if there was a solid male role model in his life. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 6. My job is pretty cool. The rush I feel after disarming an IED is probably a little more than what I get from jumping out of an airplane. Nothing like cheating death yet again..... Kinda sucks when you get blown up though.... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 7. Not necessarily. If you are a small business owner, aka "rich" right now you pay close to 50% in taxes. I don't think this even includes state taxes. After obama care kicks in it will jump over 50%. Mean while, well connected people like Jeffrey Imelt and GE don't pay a dime while shipping all of those American jobs over seas. Unions because they donate 100's of millions a year to the DNC get special exemptions. (300 million last year if memory serves) Small business is where most of the jobs are really created in America. We got to support those guys. According to the IRS, small business is also where the most tax cheating occurs. That sounds like a good reason to punish that entire class of the American Citizenry..... Yes, as complicated as the tax code is, I don't think they are trying to intentionally cheat the system. They just can't afford the representation like GE to get all the in's and out's of the IRS to make sure all of their deductions T's are crossed and lower case j's are dotted. 8. Are you suggesting that people put into a system that they are drawing from? Are you hinting that everyone should try to contribute? What's wrong with you man? That's not the American way! 11. Why is it that anyone says "cut the cost of doing Buisiness, the first thing every one on the left says is "what, cut wages?" There are many other ways to do it. Like, don't know, fix government? Lower taxes? Kill Obama care? Here is what I would propose if I had my way: End subsidies- Why did GE get $3 billion in hand outs and pay no taxes while they made $14 billion in profits and shipped 10's of thousands of jobs over sea? Do Farmers still need subsidies? Stop sending money to corrupt government- None of it goes to where it needs to go anyway. All we are doing is buying dictators. Fix the tax code- See item one. It's the small buisness owners that pick up the slack. End Obamacare- If everyone has a job, there is no need to pay for health care if everyone can pay for there own. Fix unions- I don't want to get rid of them, but union dues are another cost that get passed on to the employer. Unions also don't work on fixing work conditions any more, they are more of a fund raiser for their preferred political party. They need to get back to doing what they are meant to do, and if they are so good, then people will get together and form them on there own. This is only a few. There are lots of things that you can do to bring down the cost of doing business in the U.S. without cutting wages. It may mean reducing government and getting rid of all of the advantages that the well connected have with government, but hey, I'm OK with that. 12. Once again, MSNBC has got it wrong. The story suggests that some companies found that they could do more with less, which in some cases are true. Most of the jobs that aren't coming back though aren't coming back because the company can do with out them, it's because there job was shipped over seas. Why pay $20 an hour in the U.S. when you can pay $2 in Brazil? The story also goes on to suggest that what is needed to fix the problem is more Unions to protect the jobs. With an army of lawyers, union dues and what not, most unions just add to the cost of doing business. They have become more of a fund raising tool for the Democratic party than a force for protecting jobs. It's time to wake up. Until we bring down the costs of doing business in the U.S., more jobs are going to be shipped over seas. 13. I agree with gravitymaster. It would be a lot easier to bring peace if the PLO hadn't turned into a corrupt organization. They have no interest in peace because that would diminish there message and grip they have on the people in the "concentration camps". Iran funnels money and power to these people to keep the war going. Even though wrongs have been committed against the Palestinians in the past, we have continually tried to make right in the now. However, so much hate is being taught that instead of doing right now the Palestinians are doing wrong. They don't want peace, they want revenge and Iran is fueling the flames of hate. 14. It's about time really. Does everyone need to smoke? No. But its been long proven about cancer patience. The most successful cancer hospitals out there have understood that taking a holistic approach along with aggressive medical treatment improves a cancer patients chances. Feeling good mentally, spiritually and emotionally has proved to help time and time again. Being able to eat, sleep, and feel less pain is a huge part of that. It's about time. 17. That's just your opinion. Do you have any facts to back it up? Fact: 2+ 2= 4 Opinion: 2 + 2 may equal 5 for very large values of 2 I guess you have never seen my scoops of flour when I throw a cup in the mixing bowl. 2+2 does indeed equal 5. That's a fact... 18. I think your numbers might be a little off. Here is an update: $14.2 Billion in profit $5 billion made in the U.S. $3.2 billion in government subsidies. $0 paid in taxes. There business plan is paying off. 22. At First I was like "holy shit, they are doing something!!!!" Then I read that the U.S. had to take out all the SAM sites and confirm their destruction before the French went in. Epic Fail. How is this a fail? We wouldn't send our own aircraft over any hostile country without doing the same thing. It's a fail because it's like the police waiting for someone else to disarm a criminal before they make an arrest. If you're going to act all big and bad, it kind of helps if you can walk the walk too.... Just sayin' "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 25. I've made a couple of posts trying to find info for my own knowledge here and I got some informative replies, but I also got a lot of "Neener, neener boo, boo, stick your head in do-do. You are obviously stupid, why are you even here?" responses. I contribute it to 2 things. 1. There are a lot of people out there who come to the internet looking to make them feel better about there own inadequacies, probably because they get picked on all day when they have to step away from the computer to take care of real life. 2. A lot of species will kill a member of there group who show signs of weakness or being sick to keep from attracting predators. As enlightened as we claim to be, most people will still behave like animals. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying.
