As horrible as that possibility is it represents only the very tippy top of the excess firearm problem in America. And those classroom shooting could be easily done with a handgun if ARs were not available.

FWIW I agree 100%. AR type weapons get a lot of press coverage, but handguns do most of the damage. They are just so darn......handy when someone gets angry.

Sure, then explain how the American Taliban manage to pass laws denying reproductive choice. Explain why sexual expression beyond the mainstream is being suppressed. Explain why police kill with near impunity unless video can show their crimes. American "freedom" has always been limited to those with power. Ultimately the 2nd Amendment will be re-interpreted or changed only when those who hold the power feel threatened themselves. And I don't see that happening soon, which is a good thing because those will be troubled times indeed.

It's their agenda. Why is that hard to understand? Hating Trump is natural, he deserves it for so many reasons. Fearing the R agenda is also easy to understand. They have clearly stated that they want to move society backwards and to take away rights from people.

Thanks. It's a huge and largely intractable problem. The tiresome part is the same arguments over and over, all of them nipping at the edges and asking for small changes that would be almost meaningless even if they were enacted.

I'm getting tired of hearing Americans endless debate over guns and the potential to solve the problem of too many people being killed and killing themselves with them. How many guns do you own Joe? And how many do you need? If those numbers are not equal you are part of the problem and should probably just STFU. If they are equal and not zero, why not?

It did trigger a response. Courts are pretty slow acting. And why do you keep calling an abortion a "D&C" as if that changes it? The big question here is why a state government passed a law making it necessary for the child to go to another state.

What are you talking about? Do you not understand the force of the law? Do you expect a doctor to have to risk going to jail? And why the hell should it even be an issue? Making abortion completely illegal is the direction many states are headed, and some are there already. Even for 10 YO victims. Because that's how they roll.

Watch the midterms and even more carefully watch the results at the state level in the most wrong wing states. Then you will know if it is time to flee or if there is hope.

Yes, but it is not a therapy used on rape victims. Do you really think that a 10 YO girl if reporting a rape will be then subjected to a highly invasive procedure like a D&C "just in case"? Do you not think enough trama has been inflicted on her?
