  1. "Fusee" type road flares are VERY unlikely to accidently ignite. Gun launched flares could by ignited by impact, but the red "sticks" Cooper had appear more like road flares than flare gun types. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  2. Wouldnt that be something if Cooper's bomb was real? Everyone (including me) thinks it was the old road flares and dry cell fake deal. I dont think an explosion would have a long light persistance. If the bomb was in the briefcase I'd expect it to blow it into pieces rather than ignite a big chunk. Jo keeps saying on posts and in PMs that she has put Duane in a parachute, but as expected, never posts any supporting evidence. She could teach the FBI something about coverups. The story about a supposed MIB/FBI SA telling a 'red fireball' witness to "keep his f---ing mouth shut" makes no sense. Why would they care if the story was publicized? Galen Cook never seemed like a nut case to me in my communications with him, so don't assume that he has gone native with the Coast to Coast AM crowd just yet. I'd wait and see what he is getting at before tossing him in the nut jar. How did Himmelsbach afford a Beechcraft Bonanza on an FBI salary? Just a question not an accusation. The FBI, especially in those days, payed really low salaries. Even today they are low when you compare them with local cops who only need a 2 year degree. Quite a few FBI SAs have graduate degrees like PhDs, JDs, etc. My friend who is ex FBI was a lawyer and made about 25% of what lawyers with comparable credentials were making in law firms at the time. Ckret is dieing to say AMEN on the low salary issue, but he is not allowed to post. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

  4. Here is a rough copy (iPhone photo) of the SKYDIVING article on Mike's fatal accident. If it isnt legible I'll do a scan later in the week and post it. I went to high school with Mike at Sequoia HS in Redwood City CA. Questions: Who was the student? Who was the "other experienced jumper"? What was the "harness hold" training protocol? Was it like AFF? Does anyone know if the student had an AAD? Sentinel 2000s were in use at that time. Would Mike have been right next to the student at deployment time? Would Mike have fallen below the student if the student had a high speed malfunction? I am trying to figure out relative vertical positions during the emergency. Any idea why after saving the student Mike went for his main rather than reserve at such a low altitude? Was this a bandit training operation? I lived near Fremont at the time and never heard of any jumping there, just small plane and glider flying. The article says Mike was expelled from the USPA over some El Capitan jumping. Whatever happened, Mike was a hero. He died saving a student in trouble. It doesn't get more heroic than that in my book. It's the same kind of bravery and sacrifice that gets a Medal of Honor in combat. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  5. I was trying to solve Jo's GLACIER ICE RIDDLE...but all I found was this mother of all wacked out conspiracy stories: http://www.beyondweird.com/ufos/Bruce_Walton_The_Underground_Nazi_Invasion_2.html Maybe Duane was associated with this sub polar Nazi relocation program. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 6. Jo, If you know how to get high on such safe and easily obtainable grocery store items why have you waited so long to tell everyone? This is a jumper forum. We need to know this kind of information right away. You can hold back evidence about Duane, but it's not OK to hold back on crucial info like this. You don't want us sniffing glue and chuffing ether starting fluid do you? The nitrous oxide propellant in whipped cream cans is Snowmman's personal favorite, but I prefer solvent fumes... in moderation of course. What was Duane's favorite? Prisoners are very clever in this regard. Some cons at Folsom were fermenting raisins in their cells to make alcohol. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 7. I wasn't aware that your t-shirt scientists could refuse any orders, requests or desires. Is SI trying for one of those "most desirable places for women to work" awards? Good Snowmman. You may be on the road to moral rehabilitation. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  8. Jo wrote: We agree Jo, so do your part and make those dirty secrets public immediately. If you delay you are just prolonging the coverup. That plays right into the FBIs hands. Why would you wish to further their cowardly conspiracy? Air it out Jo. Publish your evidence. Did Duane ever say "air it out"? Just wondering... 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 9. Speaking of "that African dialect comprised of clicks and smacking sounds", I want to learn PRAWN. Those guys in District Nine could really sling the words. The interspecies prostitution was a novel idea for a sci fi flick. Blade Runner addressed it only tangentially. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. In the late 70s a solo female sailor in a Suntory sponsored sailboat race from the US to Japan made a frantic radio call saying she was witnessing an atomic explosion and feared for her life. Her description was nearly identical to the one supplied by the JAL 747 crew, but took place years earlier than their sighting. Many thought she was hallucinating from lack of sleep, but the later JAL accounts make me think she saw exactly the same phenomena. No light flash. No residual radioactivity. No sesimic event at the reported musroom cloud location. What could it have been? http://www.nytimes.com/1985/05/21/science/a-year-after-mushroom-cloud-the-mystery-lingers.html?&pagewanted=1 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 13. Snow wrote: Yeah, I do love it. That crypto flim flam science prose is cool. The MDs think most chiropractic terminology fits that description. Hey, it's what you have to do when you can't present credible equations or double blind randomized clinical data. Snow, two women apply to join our science teams. One has a PhD in a hard science but has ordinary looks, the other is a cosmetology school diplomate, looks hot and has won a few dropzone wet t-shirt contests. We'd never run into any hiring conflicts I'll bet. What are Tom's hiring criteria? Himmelsbach flew P 51s in military service. That makes him AOK with me. Maybe he knew Thomas Mantell. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mantell_UFO_incident Those postwar P 51 jocks learned that you don't mess with UFOs. No wonder they hushed up the Norjack fireball witnesses. Jo knows what is being covered up, but she has been advised not to tell us. The FBI has been advised not to tell Jo the truth. Advisors control everything, as they should. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  14. For those who didn't read Galens letter to Himmelsbach the basics are that witnesses near Vancouver WA saw a flaming red light fall from (apparently) a southbound aircraft on the night of Norjack around 8 PM. It was reported to the FBI. One witness was then visited by a man in a dark suit and was told to "keep his f---ing mouth shut". Well this is more to my liking. UFOs, MIBs. Bring it on. On the serious side, assuming that a falling red burning object was actually seen, what is Galen hinting at? Did Cooper ignite and toss a flare as a marker? Was the bomb real and did it ignite after being tossed out? My experience with FBI innocent witness interviews is that the agents are unfailingly polite. The reported hostility and rudeness makes little sense. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  15. There is no puzzle, only a wait until Jo's advisors let her present the evidence conclusively proving that Duane was Cooper. Galen Cook should be relieved that Jo tipped him in time to avoid publishing a book destined to be discredited. There is no body in the Death Woods Jerry. You'll need another excuse to visit those Washougal cabin widows. Duane pulled. He had Ranger training, avoided the river and did a great PLF. Nobody could fly an unmodified C9 like Duane Weber, no sir, nobody. Slips, 4 line cuts, riser turns, Duane knew all the tricks. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 16. Jo wrote: Who are your advisors? Is that a secret too? They probably have lots of licenses. That's a good thing. Keep taking their advice. Follow it precisely. Don't waver or deviate. 17. Jo wrote: If the Roswell alien coverup doesn't embarrass the FBI what makes you think anything about Duane Weber will? Post your story online with the following notice: Copyright 2010, Jo Weber All rights reserved. No need to register the copyright but if you want to, do it yourself, don't hire a lawyer to do it. Its dirt simple. See: http://www.copyright.gov/ Snow is right. You don't have many rights. If you publish an original work of authorship and copyright it you have some limited protection against copying, but don't expect Hollywood to beat down your door with offers. The idea for an unpublished story is easy to rip off, a screenplay or book manuscript a bit more difficult. You cant even put Duane in a chute yet you claim he was Cooper. The tease continues. 18. Finally? I thought you found this out many many posts ago Jo. What EVIDENCE do you have? Or is this another tease followed by unfulfilled promises to reveal the evidence later? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  19. Way to go Peter! Welcome to skydiving. I am still jumping 42 years after my first jump and the thrill never wears off. Stay with it Bro. It is a fantastic hobby. Blue skies. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  20. And why did you let her go? It's bad form not to at least introduce a hot ex to another jumper. Is it like that with pilots? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  21. I think it was Eight Mile. Emenem's hood. Duane saw the handwriting on the wall and started hanging out with Biggie and Tupac. He knew the Rat Pack was yesterday as far as commercial potential goes. To be part of a star rappers "posse" you have to have "street cred". Fastest way to get it is to pull a bold felony. Norjack beat the hell out of sticking up a 7-11. Duane was an old white guy, but nobody's fool. Frank, Dean and Sammy knew he did Norjack. So did Tupac and Biggie. It was very cool to be seen with Duane in Vegas. Wayne Newton tried to befriend him but Duane wisely brushed him off. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. 22. It's just teasing Jo. You tease. We tease. Show proof that Duane was a parachutist and my teasing will come to a grinding halt. Don't play the hurt feelings card when you can stop the behavior that offends you. I'll make it even easier. Just admit that you have no evidence whatsoever that Duane received parachute training, that you made an unsupported claim and I'll stop the mocking humor. Otherwise lighten up. Grin and bear it. Etc. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
  23. Sheesh. On Coast to Coast AM Keyhoe is very well known and considered far more credible than Professor Condon. I am breadboarding my dead guy receiver. Having a lot of intermod and dynamic range problems. Wish I knew how to tune for particular deceased people. If I could hear Duane and Cooper simultaneously on different frequencies I could prove to Jo that they aren't the same person. Would that convince her? Duane hid out in a cave while the initial Cooper search was going on. Someday his "paintings" (done with the flares that he passed off as dynamite) will be discovered. Maybe Jerry found them. That might explain his reluctance to post here lately. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

  25. Occam tells me that the holes in the Cooper money are natural, probably insect or some life form. Drilling or punching the bills makes no sense. Duane did own an electric drill though, and an assortment of small diameter bits. Hmmm. Galen has to fond some unequivocal evidence linking Gossett to Cooper or his book will just be another speculative work on DBC. I still think Gossett looks a LOT like the FBI sketch. Jerry sure has been quiet. What's up Jerry? Quade didnt rise to my bait. I think we are truly outcasts now. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
