Weber also made the ejection seats for the USAF F 106 chase planes. http://www.f-106deltadart.com/ejection_seat.htm Maybe Duane smuggled a Weber ejection seat rocket onto the 727 and somehow used it as a speed retarder for his high speed exit. That would explain the red fireball and arcing trajectory. Duane was not only a Ranger but a top notch aircraft escape system engineer. This Weber system allowed Duane to descend safely from high trees in the Death woods. http://www.google.com/patents/about?id=U6gsAAAAEBAJ&dq=weber+parachute 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. You literally would not believe what bored cockpit crews have done. There were several unexplained DC 4 crashes... flying along just fine then wildly out of control and fatal crashes. Turned out it was crews fooling around with engaging the gust locks in flight. One crew managed to recover control and survived. They at first pretended not to know why the plane went inverted and control was lost but one broke rank and finally admitted that their little experiment had gone awry. No more similar accidents occurred. Some early Lear Jets (model 24) had illegal "go fast" mods made that disabled a warning horn to allow unimpeded flight outside of their approved specs. Crashes did result. The list goes on and on. They should let the guys up front take naps, surf the net, etc. If they get bored the only toys they have are right in front of them and it's called a control panel. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. We used to make UFOs using birthday candles, plastic bags from the dry cleaner, and a base made of taped together drinking straws to mount the candles on and hold the bottom of the bag open as the heat from the candles inflated it. The envelope eventually filled with light smoke and the flickering candles gave it a very eerie look. We launched these and UFO reports were received. It made the local newspaper. They were essentially hot air balloons and worked really well. Later, for child safty, they started puting vent holes in the dry cleaning bags ending our use of them as balloons. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Yes, they were visible at those distances but nowhere near as bright or attention getting as pulsed gas discharge strobes. They were like the old rotating cop car lights, but smaller. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Saw this on Snow's 727 link, (has some tech errors but the basics are true): All relevant 727 evidence is destroyed, POOFED. That's just the way it is. Jo was right. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

I am very familiar with those red anti collision lights. They were made by Grimes. Most had incandecent light bulbs and a motor driven mirror rotation mechanism. I helped repair one once. They werent all that bright compared to xenon strobes. I don't think the alleged witness description matches what you'd see if looking at that light from thousands of feet away. A hand launched rocket flare could illuminate the cloud bottoms if close enough and that could be misinterpretted as illuminating the plane. Anything dropped from the plane wouldnt have enough dwell time near the plane to illuminate it in my opinion. It would fall below and behind very rapidly. Can't you see some guys, maybe fishermen or boaters who have marine flares, listening to to Norjack unfolding on the news and just deciding to pop one off towards what they think might be Cooper's plane? An ignited road flare tossed out the ventral door of a 727 would not significantly illuminate the plane in my opinion. Those sulphur based road flares arent all that bright either. I think it would look like a red point source if seen from thousands of feet away... more like a Christmas tree light than a "brightly glowing red object." Himmelsbach may have ignored the story as crackpot. The MIB/FBI witness intimidation story sounds really sketchy to me. There is no logic to it. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Couldn't this description be consistent with a ground launched rocket flare? I don't see why it necessarily came from the plane. The claimed illumination of the plane from below sounds a lot more like what you'd see from a ground launched flare. They make some pretty big ones for commercial marine use. Some have small parachutes that extend their time in the air. The attempted suppression/intimidation of the witnesses makes no sense to me. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. I like this cannon stuff Snow. My son tells me in the farm areas surrounding Beijing, the govt has supplied many farmers with skyward pointing artillery cannons, welded so that they can't shoot anywhere but up. The farmers get standby pay and cell phones so that on govt command, they can fire silver iodide shells into clouds. Supposedly this gives nucleation sites for water vapor to condense on and rain begins to fall from moisture laden clouds. I have a book called Silent Siege that documents Japanese attacks on the West Coast of the US during WW 2. We had many coastal artillery sites all over the West Coast including some major ones near the Golden Gate. You can still see the bunker sites at Ft Baker and Ft Funston. Speaking of fireballs in the Pacific NW, some of the Japanese FUGA incendiary balloons did make it to the US but failed to cause major conflagrations. I wish Galen would just come out with what he is getting at with the fireball story. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Sara P just eats salmon and bear that she kills herself. Vegtables are for liberals. She can see Pluto from her kitchen window. Sara should have held on to the governor's seat for a few more months or at least until that deadbeat dad Levi got caught up on child support payments for Bristol's love child. She used to deploy AK state troopers to do her bidding. Now all she can do is complain to Oprah. Watch for a book titled The Lies of Sara Palin, coming soon to a bookstore near you. Snow did you know that unstable pitch oscillation in freefall is uniformly referred to as "potato chipping"? http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=search_results&search_forum=all&search_string=potato%20chipping&sb=score&mh=25 Duane may have tumbled a few time after leaving the 727, but once he got stable there was no potato chipping. No way. Rangers do not potato chip. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

When digging for a drip irrigation system a few years back I discovered a lot of small golden potatoes under the earth in my front yard. Turned out my young daughter had "planted" some that she took from the kitchen. She was very disappointed that we didnt get a "potato plant" which in her mind was an above ground bush with potatoes hanging on it as fruit. We ate the potatoes and they were delicious. She had succeeded but her success was concealed underground. She was very proud that she had grown "tasty potatoes". She is 17 now but does have her head on straight. Must have been the potato farming that did it. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

MY old neighbor Ray, the 400 lb diabetic tough talking CBer, had a fuse box (not circuit breakers) on an outbuilding. He had a rubber wrapped (cut up inner tube and friction tape) Vise Grip pliers clamping together two ends of a 220 volt feedline. It was protected from rain by the eaves of the shack but stayed there for years and was still there when we moved away. That's as good as the garden hose dont you think? You should have seen some of the jury rigged parachute gear I saw in the late 60s. Redneck rigging I guess, 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. The check will be $100,000. That's her new speaking fee. If you divide her fee by her IQ it sets a new world record smashing the current one held by George Bush Jr. "The revolution will not be televised." Gill Scott Heron. a CO or a deserter? I never heard of COs getting life sentences. Name? Date? Court? You made a claim now show the evidence. Hey, my former co-workers at Hughes made the MA1 fire control system for those F 106 Cooper chase planes. Are you telling me it didnt work as advertised? Actually it sounds like it didn't. The F 106s couldnt even locate the 727 according to some accounts. Others have thme circling because they couldnt fly as slow as the 727 which is hogwash, it was easily in their speed range. Good thing the missile wasn't a Genie. The Genie (designed to be carried by F 106s) had a nuke warhead to blast bombers out of the sky even if it missed. Close is good enough if your blast is big enough. I think its really funny that NORAD, SAGE and the MA1 system failed to direct the F 106s to intercept the 727, but a USAF C 130 Hercules propeller driven cargo plane using dead reckoning and some voice comms with ground radar stations reckoning DID intercept it. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. I installed one once a long time ago. As I recall the torsion spring was installed on a coaxial center shaft so that even if it broke it was contained and couldnt go anywhere. The amount of force in that spring was scary though. The one I hear often is German shipyard workers oversome by fumes/sleeping/drunk etc and accidently entombed into a ballast tank on a U Boat... only to be found after the war when the boat was salvaged. Why do people expect a big payoff on food contamination if they didnt eat it, didnt get sick etc. I mean is a jury going to give you a million because there was a condom in your doughnut? If they did would an appelate court let the verdict stand? I found some plastic parts inside a Cliff Bar. Didnt swallow any, didnt chip any teeth. Sent it to the mfr and said I wasnt seeking damages, but they should find the problem and fix it. They sent me a box of Cliff Bars, explained the problem (something in their packaging machinery broke) and thanked me. Some locals went to jail for faking a fingertip in a bowl of Wendy's chile. They planted it. Wish Galen would post his theory about the red fireball and the coverup. Its getting harder defending him when he puts something like that out there and doenst give any explanation. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Not Jo. EVERYTHING is connected. It all substantiates that Duane was Cooper and that he knew about a massive govt conspiracy dating from just after WW 2. Lord knows what atrocities were being committed by our govt in rural Washington involving Duane and other prisoners. She can't give us any details though. Her advisors won't permit it. Perhaps it's better that way. I am not sure the public is ready to know the whole truth. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

You didnt go to college at UC Berkeley Snow. Why are you talking like you did? Also... that stopped working as a pickup line in 1968. Now you have to say you are the number three guy in a red hot startup and you have founder's stock options. The girl will then ask you to name the VC investors and you'd better have it right. It was a lot easier to wing it in the 60s. Can I get an amen Guru? Airtwardo? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Great image! Farflung really knows how to start aviation related urban legends. I wonder if Farflung started the one about a guy in a wesuit getting sucked into one of those lake skimming fire tanker planes and dropped onto a forest fire? Many folks actually believe that one even though the orfice of the largest intake pipe is less than forty square inches and has a grill over it. http://www.snopes.com/horrors/freakish/scuba.asp 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Do you remember those rocket propelled .22 rounds Guru? I think MBAssociates made them. They were sold retail for a while. Bored fishermen on their way in would wage running rocket wars with them. Steel boats, a lot of distance between them, nobody on deck, not much chance of harm. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
