Buy the bike back from the insurance company. My dad just did this, the bike was totaled and he got it for $500. $500 in parts later, it is going again. Most of the damage was minor cosmetic stuff. The exhaust for example, we just wrapped in the ceramic tape. Be sure to look at the list of damaged parts, and determine what you have/want to replace and add it up.

Good on you for helping out with the search. Too bad it didn't come out well.....

In certain situations, being able to speak to police, fire, and medical could save your own life and those of others. I think people should learn at least a very minimal amount of the language of the country they are going to, and if they plan on moving there, they should never stop learning it. It is a disservice when families raise their children and teach them more about their native tongue rather than what is spoken where they live. Businesses who cater to non english speakers such as the home depot and others are also creating problems, let alone the businesses who hire those who speak no english.

He already admitted that he just "found" it and decided to take it, and if the cops are going to be fucked up enough to say that he could keep the stuff in the bed of the truck, then hopefully they will be asshole enough to testify that they had no clue who did the damage to the truck. Basically a fucked up situation though, I feel for you. There is nothing more annoying than reverse racism. Hey, you should counter sue him for damage to the stone! Wouldn't it also be trespassing and theft if the stone was on private property?

There were two or so out on the market, but they have since been recalled due to safety problems. People have died and been very badly hurt from them. If you do get your hands on one, be cautious! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H0k9Uvt2os

If you have been at all interested in buying one, now is the time. $5000 off on many models... The biggest cuts are on the 1125, which is their baddest bike.

Navajo jumpship questions...

Make sure they keep up on maintenance, and lend an ear on run up. My dad's friend died about 1.5 years ago in this exact aircraft in Las Vegas, due to loosing one of the engines after takeoff. He was by himself, so not heavily loaded either. He owned an aircraft transport business, so had many many hours in all types of aircraft, I'm sure he did all he could. Anyways, not trying to scare you, but if the pilot says get out, get outta that sucker! -
That is sweet! Here is another favorite of mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9fIjYnPazc

That certainly is an issue if you are dealing with a true dangle outfit. I was thinking of going as this guy: http://buckingtherealestatetrend.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/96/files/2008/02/popcorn-sutton.jpg A true moonshiner. I could carry around the jug with the XXX on it too, only it would actually be booze instead of fake. Street patrol won't know what hit em!

Hahahaha. I just use the scoop thing they give you to get out the seeds and junk in the first place. Large metal spoons should work fine too. Keep one hand on the outside, where you are scraping, you can sort feel via the flexing of the pumpkin how thin it is getting. I do know what picture you are talking of, I'll have to see what I can find.
-
Your carving looks good, but you need to reduce the thickness of the pumpkin, by a bunch. The areas that are not cut all the way through are not visible because light can't get all the way through. Usually when I carve pumpkins, I just remove the skin instead of cutting all the way, and make the thickness of the meat about 1/4 inch. This gives it a great orange glow. You will have to be careful now that you have holes cut, as you scrape it thinner and thinner, you will have a chance of breaking it. I'm not sure what I want to do this year, any suggestions?

They said that there was some sort of basket on the balloon originally, that is no longer there. My guess, if they haven't found the kid or basket yet, it is because it became detached at a high altitude and long distance away. Probability of surviving a 30ft fall is 50%, and for a kid it is worse. The longer they go without finding him, the slimmer the chance of him being alive. I am betting 10% chance he is alive...... Hope they find him safe and sound.

They just said the boy may have fallen out right after take off, according to a sibling who watched the whole thing. So at this point they do not know if he is inside. Wouldn't you think that without 50lbs, the balloon would not stop until it got to 30-50k feet? I think it is at 7-10k right now. Regardless, scary

Shit I feel you. Just got back from a trip to North Dakota, and the warmest it got was 35F. We were out in the fields pheasant hunting at 6am, with 26F and 20-30mph winds. It was cold! Well, I am off to bed, try to work hard enough to make up for my slacking via sleeping and dreaming about titties and beer.

Whazzaaa? Sounds like a good day to "work" on getting a tan and drinking as many beers as possible. Some rough calculations are along these lines: Drive to store, buy beer. Aprox 10am starting time. Finishing time, anywhere from 10pm-4am (again, aprox) Average consumption, 3-4 bph (beers per hour) gives us a rough guess of 36-64 beers. Get to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who rides motorcycles and what is your ride?
LongWayToFall replied to xtravrtsoul's topic in The Bonfire
Good stuff! My dad owns a xb12S, I was riding it when a car hit me and "totaled" it. We are starting to fix it back up, hopefully it will be going in the near future. His bike has the xb12r computer and exhaust, which eliminates the exhaust valve. The result is a MUCH more linear power band, one that you can ride in the twisties much easier. Check it out! -

Are you fucking crazy? The Katana has a long history, and is in the same family as bikes that are the benchmark for suzuki drag racing. Read up! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_Katana -

Why mothers should not be allowed on facebook
LongWayToFall replied to SpeedRacer's topic in The Bonfire
Hahahaha. It is funny, my mom and dad both have a facebook but I don't. Too much drama and BS on those kinds of sites. I am too busy enjoying the real world to spend my time communicating over a screen. Wait.............. -
