    Good idea. Does it come with a full length barrel and low capacity mag already? The problem with the moss 500s I see is that they are usually the security model, 20 inch barrel and 8 shot mag. This would mean I need a hunting barrel and shorten the mag. (new tube, and maybe new spring as well?)

    Well as the title says, I am going bird hunting in the near future and need a long barreled shotgun, preferably semi automatic. I would very much like a Remington 1187, although they are getting hard to find around me. I would like it to be used, or new if the price is reasonable enough, my budget is somewhere around 400-600. I have been told not to bother with berettas, they are not very good. So what is everyone using out there? If I have to go to pump, I might just get a mossberg 500 and swap the barrels out if need be. I had one before and it was great, but would like a semi. I have not been hunting yet, but recently got my license and am on my way to North Dakota with a friend to pheasant hunt. I went with him last year and after seeing how many birds there are and what fun it is, I GOTTA get in on that. Thanks for the help!

    I found online some data saying that while there is no FAR preventing you from jumping, airlines prohibit their pilots from flying within 72 hours of giving blood, and 12 hours of giving plasma. Ultimately it is up to you though, and you know that airlines have to be pretty damn safe with estimates.

    These are the same options I have on mine, minus the B-12s. The rig is sweet, fits great. The hip rings make it very comfy in the air. When you specify a canopy, they make the container a smidge on the loose side, which was great for me when I started packing but I have since shortened my closing loop as I get better, you might ask them to size it on the tight side for your canopy. If I was great at packing and let my grommets separate a bit (ie not overlapped) I bet I could fit a full size larger canopy in my rig. YMMV

    I have a new Wings as well, although with the regular friction locks, not stainless. My straps have enough extra slack that I can stuff the tips of the straps into the legstrap padding, and then I run the bungie down to the ends to keep it there (not up next to the hardware). I also make sure to rotate the straps around my legs, by pulling back on the hip rings and forward on the straps between my legs. This makes the fit much better. I personally have never had any slippage on my leg straps at all. Good luck figuring it out.

    I love mine with the articulated harness. I asked for the extra wide leg straps on the recommendation of someone else, and it is real comfy under canopy.

    That is a long ways for one day. The most I have done was about 1000 miles over 20ish hours, as part of a 3600 miles trip taking 6 days. Went through a couple books on tape with that one!

    Cool story! I mapquested the base they fly out of in Utah, they go quite a ways on one flight. Edwards must have been a busy place during that time, lots of development happening.
