Official Sharks are going to win the Cup Thread

Hahaha, not quite. We'll see how it goes tomorrow eh? -
Hahahaha, yeah I forgot to mention that at first, certainly worth noting!!!!! (Don't try this with gas, only old school mechanical pump diesels, and even then it is not the best thing you could do haha)

Damn, did you guys see that beat down on the flames tonight? -
The truck had 2 tanks, so it was perfect. Get it warmed up on the straight diesel, and then switch to the mixed. To tell you the truth, I could never tell a difference, smoke, power, or otherwise from the straight diesel. I have run it over 25% used oil too.

Not bad at all. I had an old ford diesel truck that leaked quite a bit of oil, we had to lay down cardboard and put kitty litter on it in the driveway cuz that sucker would destroy the driveway. It leaked so bad that the underside of the engine developed a massive coating of road grime, and every time I changed the oil/filter I would be head to toe nasty. I'm talking an hour in the shower and an entire bar of soap nasty. Fun truck though. The used oil would go back into the gas tank. How is that for recycle?

I did the bathroom in my house, with no prior tile experience. It is a tub/shower, and we left the tub in, so I didn't have to deal with tiling the floor. Hardibacker, some latex sealer, and plenty of grout sealer should keep the thing water tight. I replaced all of the old galvanized plumbing with copper at the same time, so tore the walls down to the studs. I would say that it went well overall, and came out looking good. Once you grout it, it helps make it look sharper, when I laid the tile it wasn't perfectly straight. Do yourself a favor and buy a diamond cut off wheel for a disk grinder (and buy the disk grinder if you don't have one) this does a great job at cutting and shaping tiles. Also, you can get a diamond bit for your dremel to cut the holes out for the handles and spout. I say go for it, it will be a fun project.

It's too bad my N64 took a crap a couple months back. Tried to play golden eye and it won't start up. LAME. I was seriously thinking about buying this game too.

Hell yeah I had a chance to eat snake once, it was great.

If a torch+hammer+breaker bar or impact won't loosen a bolt, nothing will. Worth a shot at least, although chances of reusing the hardware is going to be nill.
-
I have always had luck with propane torches. Try to heat the nut rather than the bolt, this makes the nut expand and loosens it.

Sorry about your cat. It's rare that the cat chooses you, and not the other way around. Thanks for your story

Would you recommend Lodi for a first tandem jump?
LongWayToFall replied to ConfusedVorlon's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I have recommended many first timers there, the TMs are very current. Would have no problem sending family members there, and have. -

This should make some gun enthusiasts crazy
LongWayToFall replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
Cool story! I love how you were asked to present a situation in which people were saved with a concealed gun, and you could tell a story of your own! George: If he had indeed given him his money, and was lucky enough not to be injured/killed by not giving any resistance, do you think this would make it more, or less likely for the criminal to repeat the crime? Also, why argue a situation where no guns are present at all? This is not reality, and except for a very few exceptions, guns can be obtained illegally just about anywhere. To pretend that it is possible to make widespread areas and numbers of people completely unable to get a gun, is a waste of time. -
That was totally bad ass! Thanks for sharing. I got to see the midnight fireworks show in San Francisco last night, it was pretty good as well, but it was pale in comparison to that! The bridge makes such a cool object to shoot from.

Don't you think it is a pretty obvious location? Still though, I see the issue with bringing extra attention to a spot. That is one hell of a huge building all right!

LongWayToFall replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
You are walking a fine line by making that conclusion. What it actually says, is that this program of taking guns, is part of a larger program of reducing violence, which is (supposedly) the cause of reduced homicides. I will agree however, that unregistered weapons are going to be harder to sell, and that this at least gives the illegal owners an opportunity to exchange them for money (food). The article states that all of the weapons are destroyed, however I think they should run the serial number and return them to the original owner if they are stolen, if they don't that is fucked up. Anyways, thanks for the article. Guns-for-Food=The new Oil-for-Food? just kiddin -
Recommendations for AFF in CA, OR, or WA?
LongWayToFall replied to flybybardo's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Spending the money on tunnel time, and getting your license later might save you money and be more fun. You can always throw in a tandem as well. Either way, have a good time!
