  1. Nope, Spec 4 Brown (Dennis, I think but not sure) A Co 2/325 in '89 Scott
  2. I dont remember what dz, that was 14 yrs ago. Yes a double mal, both reserve and main failed, both out tho, so he had SOMETHING slowing him down. As far as jumping again, our CO manifested him the next day to jump w/ B Co. and he (the CO) said the same thing you did, "whats the chances of that happening again?" "freefall" Brown said to the CO, "Sir, do you know what the chances of my living again are?". LOL Scot
  3. jeez, "only broke his pelvis" lol, lucky guy. right after i got to bragg, we had a spec 4 double mal from 1200. WALKED OFF THE DZ!!!!! slight nerve damage to his feet. He terminated (cant blame him) and got reassigned armor. (are we playin one up?? if so i am done. lol) scott

  5. Dave and Happy, You guys aint right. lol scott
  6. Dayle, Don't mean to be argumentative, but to my knowledge ( I am a Licensed Life ins agent), all policies have a contestability clause ( whereby after a certain # of years pass the policy pays REGARDLESS), usually 2 years. Not meaning to condone lying on the app, just trying to set the record straight. edit for spelling cause i'm half drunk. Scott
  7. and we are supposed to care, WHY???!!! Scott
  8. Hey airborne, Its my guess that most of your jumps are on a 0 (zero) cell. LOL ( i dont think you could say a -10 has any cells.) lol Scott
  9. My wife (ladybug) and I both jump in FLA. School of Human Flight / Skydive Tallahassee is home. Scott & Dawn
  10. HEY!!! As a mentally retarded, animal lover, who is also a card carrying member of AA and a staunch supporter of gun rights with and IQ of 30, I find this post very offensive and wonder why you are picking on me personally. sorry, I couldn't resist.
  11. ooops, sorry for the rpost then Wendy I hadn't seen it before and thought it was WAY too funny, I still don't know if its tru or not. Scott
  12. This may or may not belong in this forum, but I thought it was more funny than serious, moderator please move if you think it warrants. Friend of mine emailed this too me, I thought it was hilarious.
  13. Hey thanks for all the input folks. I have sent an email to SkyVenture in Orlando and asked if they have time available during the time I am going to be there. Hopefully I'll get a postive answer and I will heed the advice of the majority here and try to schedule 2 15 min sessions and please oh please DO NOT let me get addicted to the tunell. Skydiving by itself is bad enough. Thanks Again for all the replies Scott
  14. hmmmmm, no takers?? I have read a little in here on the subject, but am not clear on the consensus. If I can only devote 10 - 30 mins, IS it worth it?? C'mon guys, I know SOMEONE has an opinion, you are skydivers afterall. LOL Scott
  15. Ok Tunnel Rats, I am going to be in Orlando Mid may for 3 days. How MUCH time should is enough for a session? 10 15 30 mins?? I would also obviously want to have a coach/instructor. As you can see, I am new to this world and would like to get better faster. I am much more interested in RW skills than FF. Sooooo, advice please?? Thanks, Scott
  16. Insurance fraud, and Co-oridination of benefits are the reasons these questions are asked. I, for one, DO NOT believe that insurance companies try to "got out of" paying claims, they endeavor to ENSURE that the claim they ARE investingating is theirs TO PAY. I truly understand the attitude that people have towards insurance companies (leaglized robbery / gambling) but I assure you that Insurance does very much good. If I didn't believe that, not only would I NOT buy it, but I wouldn't sell it either. Scott edit: had to reword
  17. Just because you CAN eat it all Dave, doesn't mean you SHOULD. LOL I do remember, 10 - 12 years ago tho, I could eat a WHOLE large pan pizza and STILL be hungry. It caught up w/ me tho, thats why I am an anvil today. LOL Scott
  18. Wendy, I totally understand that, but still, Geesh. I just cant imagine ME getting under something like that and I am an EXTREMELY confident person (and think competent too) but thats just plain stupid, in my relatively non experienced view. I guess some people are just tougher than others, at least I hope so in his case. Scott
  19. I've only got 36 jumps myself and all I can say about that whole deal is: W O W!!! What if this guy spun that canopy up and went in? How would the guy that sold him the rig feel? My nest question would be, is there any liability?? In this particular instance, I would certainly hope so. Scott
  20. Take off work???? That leads one to believe that you actually work to begin with. scott
  21. you forgot to subtract 10lbs ea for heads, backbones and "innards" lol and dont forget, you put that in the freezer, you dont have to go to the store to SPEND more money for food. Oh, and next time you go, for $3.85 a pound, call me, I'll come get'em AND pay you $4 per pound. (your A$$ must still hurt from that) LMAO.
  22. Now, you are talking about a different issue. Paying bounuses or incentives for good work / xtra work is a good thing and I do the same. But the issue that started this thread is "someone" mandating what someone is paid. There is a HUGE difference. Scott
  23. i didnt say go public Ron. But hey, I own 100% here soo lol
