Im a really new jumper, 23 jumps, and not a pilot, but why has no one mentioned a King Air? Its what we use at our DZ, 14 pax, and our runway is only 2900 feet (i dont believe we have ever used all of it either) so is 2400 feet not enough for this plane? Anyway, just my $.02, for what it's worth. Scott

I am a small business owner, and I use that phrase VERY sparingly. If, however, I tell a customer, "I give you my word" then you better believe i will do EVERYTHING to ensure that "it" happens. My $.02 Scott

My opinion, He is obviously NOT a good friend. A good friend would NEVER put you in this position. Demand the $$ back, and if not succesful, write off the friendship. Consider the $500 bucks payment for a lesson learned. A costly one, but better than ulcers worrying about it. Scott

Are you in Florida? Have you talked to American General (an AIG company, only the largest financial company in the world). I AM an insurance agent, although NOT a life agent (that will be remedied by year end). The question on the app will be, "are you now, or do you intend to in the future". I have no empathy for those who sit on their asses and do nothing to collect what they don't deserve and, the people we are talking about (criminals), are USUALLY these same people that fell society owes them. I can assure you that given the choice, I would not give these leeches a dime but, unfortunately, I do not have that choice. Scott

In all fairness, this is the only DZ I've been too, so I don't have a basis for comparison BUT.... Cindy, the owner has taken my wife and I both under her wing as new jumpers and she is great. Tom, our AFF instructor, super professional and Eric, one of the Tandem instructors is great. The DZ runs smoothly as far as I can tell. From manifest, to packers on site and always ready to pack for you, or teach us newbies and, extremely helpful and understanding experienced jumpers who don't hesitate to stop and answer questions or help anytime we ask. I would HIGHLY reccomend this DZ to anyone who wanted to get started in this sport or just wanted a one-time tandem (although I couldn't imagine just doing this once). Scott Kremmkau Havana Florida

Kev, It is TERRIBLY unfortunate that innocents are punished, I do sincerely agree but, the VAST majority of people that are convicted are in fact guilty. Just as the vast majority of people that recieve a speeding ticket were in fact speeding. This does NOT deminish the fact that if someone near and dear to me were unjustly punished, executed etc, that I myself would not think it unjust. I DO agree that mistakes are made but, sadly, that is the burden of the human race; we are not infallible. If you think this justifies your position, so be it, becaues I feel that it justifies mine and, I am ready to agree to disagree on this subject. It's NOT supposed to be a day spa. It's supposed to be a friggin PRISON!!!!! They committed the crime, now let them be PUNISHED for the crimes. I am so tired of hearing about the "poor" conditions that people in prison have to exist in. IT"S PRISON. As far as I'm concerned, if they get a bed with a mattress, a blanket, clothes and 3 meals a day, they get too much. But NOOOOOOOOO, the FRIGGIN ACLU, NAACP, Defense Lawyers of America, and every other bleeding heart liberal in country wants to make sure they have TV, a library, free education, and they must get PAID for any labor they perform. What a crock!! Hell, send ME to prison. Then the state will have to support my kids, and I get a free ride. Hell yea, thats it, I NEED a vacation. GET REAL PEOPLE!!!! Scott

And I have been arrested and covicted of a crime i DID commit, and it WAS a slam dunk ( I wasn't the most intelligent person in my youth). My point is, however, that there are instances where the truth is the truth is the truth and, we need to get past lining the pockets of the trial lawyers et al and, spending gobs of $$$ on providing public defenders for the dirtbags of society when all it is a show. I am well aware that there are instances where trial is necessary, it would be ignorant to think otherwise, but as far as I can see, there is nothing wrong w/ law enforcement bringing the facts / proof to a competent judge and saying, heres what we've got, and it's a "no brainer". Judge says "yep, you're correct, send the perp to prison, 10 yrs, NO PAROLE". The fact that our legal system ALLOWS the dregs of society, and even the "blue collar" criminal get "off" because their attorney was "slick" enuff is F___ed up. Again, just my opinion, but when I am supreme ruler, that is the system i will implement.
