Veter, I PERSONALLY have a problem w/ Bounce Bingo, but now I believe you have crossed the line. NO ONE tampered w/ your equiptment. NO ONE is trying to kill you. YOU are dangerous (I say that, and hell, I don't KNOW you and I have NEVER even been to The Ranch) Dude, I serioously think that you need psychological help. People are NOT out to get you. YOU forgot to COMPLETELY uncollapse your slider. YOU DID. You either need to grow up, and take responsibility for your actions, or you need to find something else to do in your spare time, parcheesie, maybe? Again, I find the idea of the "death pool" offensive, but I also have come to believe that perhaps it is NOT everyone else that is the problem. Scott

Instructor, Coach, and Jumpmaster questions
white_falcon replied to agskyboard's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Ah, Ambition. Thats always a good thing. LOL Have F U N first, before you start worryin about all that other stuff. But, like a couple have already said, if you wanna make $$ on the DZ now, packing is the way to go. -
LMAO, That may be the single most descriptive phrase I have ever encountered.

Oh, and for anyone that's interested, Blood On The Risers -- http://www.west-point.org/users/usma1981/38405/west_point/songs/bloodontherisers.htm I Don't know how to make it a clicky here Scott

I have been dealing with you very issue, except i have only been considering 3 of the canopies listed. I have demoed the Sabre II and the Pilot and for my money ( and the one I am prepared to purchase) the Pilot is hands down the better canopy (now make sure to look at my jump #'s) Initially, I had a problem w/ the pilot because I couldn't land it but I liked the way it flew from the beginning (more responsive in the turns, lighter toggle pressure, shallower glide path) than the sabre, but dammit, I couldn't land the dam thing. Then all of a sudden, it was bam, bam, bam, bam, one soft stand-up landing after another. Don't get me wrong, I LIKED the Sabre II, I just liked the Pilot better and its ME flying it. That's MY $.02 and whatever you but, I hope you enjoy it. Scott

Derek, My apologies for mis-spelling your name. No disrespect intended. Aggiedave, I am aware of Derek's credentials, (at least via what I have learned on here) and YOURS too for that matter. I read the opinions and observations of both of you and pay close attention. Bilvon, Again, I UNDERSTAND why the "pool" is in place. I just don't AGREE with it. There MUST be a better way of dealing with it. Right now, I have no better option than what I have already offered. Shrek, SHUT-UP. oh, and come cut the dam grass. :-) To all the jumpers at The Ranch, My aplogies as regards my initial post in this thread. It was knee jerk and, I would not NOT jump at your DZ just because of this (IMHO) absurd pool that you have. I am sure you have nothing but the best of intentions but the actual implementation of such a concept is turly disturbing to me. Scott

No, Derrick, I DO understand the purpose of the list. I still think its S I C K. But again, thats MY opinion. and yea, if I was the dzo, "all" i'd do was groung him, not allow a pool on when / if he'd go in. Scott

>>I love that song!! I try and get folks to sing it on the ride up but no takers Losers! Me too, but thats ANOTHER issue.
-
Yes, Again, I understand the "idea" behind the "pool" but my PERSONAL feeling is that this is a poor way to address it. as an aside. I feel that I am an extremely cautious person and that MAY cloud my view of this issue, HOWEVER, I personally would NEVER place a bet on the possibility of someone bouncing, it is much more effective, IMHO (and inexperience) to TALK to someone. Scott

Derrick, The S&TA needs to take an ACTIVE role in the re-eudcation of any jumper that is on the list for "demonstrated" reasons. The DZO needs to be involved as well. If the jumper is a danger to his or herself, they should be grounded and the DZO has a responsibility to advise OTHER DZ's in the area of the jumpers deficencies. Is this "the" solution? NO, but it is a dam site more civilized than a "blood pool". That again, is MY opinion, which isnt worth the band width it takes up, is it??? Scott.

Not a troll. The Ranch is a perfectly safe palce if you are willing to listen to advice. I assume you were 325? Ever hear the 82d sing "Blood on the Risers"? Do you think that act makes the 82d unsafe? Yea, 2Bn, 325, White Falcon, and DAM proud of it. "blood on the risers" is GENERIC, not pointed at a SINGLE individual, and does NOT involve a "pool" on who is gonna bounce. I understand, clearly, what is going on withe the "bounce pool" but I personally think it is a BAD way to promote safety. Thats MY opinion and, I felt compelled to share it. Scott

Ron, I'm a "new" guy, and although i "understand" the idea, I STILL think it is S I C K. But hey, I'm a new guy, WTF do I know? as an aside, I usually find you post interesting and thought provoking, but on this one...... Scott (the "new" guy)

#1, I call T R O L L #2, if NOT a troll, then I'll NEVER be jumpin at The Ranch. my .02, for what its worth. Scott

Event at Skydive the Farm Aug 19-21!!
white_falcon replied to Thanatos340's topic in Events & Places to Jump
OMG now i have this AWFUL picture stuck in my head. someone make it go away, please! LOL -
yes, that is true, but MOST personal property need not be itemized to be covered. Jewlery, firearms, antiques, yes. your 10,000 living room suite NO. Your Parachute will fall into this catagory. (at least in Florida) Scott
-
If you have homeowners insurance, your personal belongings are covered WORLD WIDE for all causes of loss. (in MOST cases) A renters policy could accomplich this same thing. Scott

Cop: "your eyes are a little red have you been smoking?" Driver: " your eyes are a little glazed, have you been eating donuts?" scott

I flunked AFF Level 2 jump... Has this happened to others?
white_falcon replied to Mockingbird's topic in Safety and Training

Ron, I stand corrected. I did not accomplish all tasks specified on AFF 4 (i didn't fail)

I agree. Political BS is just that, and yes I am sure the other poest was locked for good reason. HOWEVER, when someone flames an individual for asking an honest question and then a moderator locks the thread for whatever reason while stating he sees no personal attacks (when there several that are BLATANT) you cannot fault others for defending a friend. That said, I will refrain from further posting on this matter and hope that others will learn to get over whatever petty greifs they may have against others. This NEWBIE is done. Scott PS Lets all have a safe weekend, Blue skys all.

I failed my level 4 also. Xited the plane, got stable, started my turns, hit a CLOUD (my BEER cloud) and turned into a deer in headlights!! lol My instructor (AWSOME GUY) tackled me at about 3500 as we were coming out of the bottom of the cloud (all on video). BUT I DID beat him to my hacky. LOL. Nice try tho TOM!!! Scott

Hmm. Interesting. I read the post you are talking about and either I am blind or Cindy did NOT point any fingers or insinuate anything. Sounds to me like a rigger / DZO heard about a situation and was trying to be pro-active in handleing any potential problems. Some people seem to find demons everywhere, and yes I know there are others who repeatedly see things thru rose colored glasses. Scott

their w/s indicates they do. One of the companies, if I remember correctly is AIG, only the largest insurance company / group in the world. Scott
