I think the opposite would make more sense, Since I really don't think you want to be cutting anything away when you are bellow 1k, keep it connected until then, especially if it is a windy day and there's a chance you might get dragged. One my instructors once said that if he was under 1K and he had a ball of shit over his head, the only thing he would do is make it a bigger ball of shit. As most of you, I always read the incident forum and I'm glad such valuable resource is here for us all to learn. I wonder however, if the threads that go on for 5, 6, 7+ pages loose their educational value, and become nothing more than a pee-pee match between a couple of posters arguing opposing points back and forth. Chirop. are great for minor pains and small adjustments. Don't go to one and expect to have severe medical issues resolved. Be aware that major damage can be done by a single bad move(as with real doctors). Some claim to cure colds, allergies and all types of medical ailments, and to that, I say --QUACK ...QUACK.. I've gone to one to have my neck cracked, it was great and I got what I expected, my neck felt better. It was just kinda strange that the first half of my appointment was spent with chirop. defending his profession. Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

You can probably wait a bit on the jump suit until you have a couple more jumps under your belt, but you will always need an alti, goggles and helmet. Get them as soon as you can -- It suck if you couldn't go up because there were no alti's available. The Protec helmet is not as cool as all the other ones at the DZ, but it actually IS rated for impact -- keep in mind that skydiving helmets are not rated for nor do they make any claims to protect you from impact. Just add some stickers to it and it will look fine. It will also fit 2 audibles nicely and confortably on the ear holes. As far as not wearing helmets --(IMO, it's just stupid for new jumpers not to wear them) -- It would suck if you banged your head on exit or landing. Concussions, broken bones and death will keep you from jumping, regularly. Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

It was interesting, but definately not worth the $9.00. It was more of a netflix type of movie. Just kept waiting for the payoff which never came. -- Which is the whole point of the story Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

Your jumping will be greatly diminished... Hopefully you had a safe and wonderful jumping season. You really ought to treat yourself..commme ooonnn...splurge....Get rid of that old rig and buy a brand spanking new one. A nice pre-holidays gift. New toys are great and they make you feel good...but to make yourself feel even better, you really should think about donating your old rig to a great cause ... ME!
