  1. What are your favorite weather sites? I'm looking for one that gives me a good winds aloft forcast. Here are my 2 favorite sites #1 - Usairnet #2 - Weather Underground for long term forcast (but not nearly as reliable as the 2 above) Accuweather Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  2. Since the DZ is really far, I'm slow at packing and suck at skydiving, I think the skydiving industry is out. What are other good second jobs? I was thinking about working security somewhere, or a desk clerk in a hotel or something else where you really don't do much. The thing is they probably don't pay very well. Maybe, I'll look at bartending at a restaurant during week days. Who knows Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

  5. Wow, I don't think I would jump at 18 mph winds. As for the weather, I finished my 3 tandems in october but didn't get to start AFF until the end of Jan. due to weather, and I tried really hard to jump. I've been to every DZ around me, pretty much every weekend but no lovin. That's just how it is. Since I started in the Jan, most of my AFF landings were in a snow covered grounds. The ski mask balak... --ninja mask-- worked fine for me and didn't really move with goggles on, but I probably will not use it with my Gatorz. For hands I used latex (surgical) gloves under your regular gloves. If you decide to do this, you MUST wait until just before exit to put on the latex gloves, or your hands will sweat and then freeze on the way down. Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  6. Yes, the previous owner had a 210 but downsized to a 190 shortly before selling. I checked the d-bag, its tight but definitely not a brick. Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  7. I was jumping a 230, but bought a rig that has a essentially brand new Sabre2 190 in it. I rented a Specter 210 this weekend and didn't see much of a difference. All jumps were fine, all stand up landings, however, I don't think I will be going down to the 190 because it will give a WL of 1.26-1.28 :1 depending on the week Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  8. I'm actually upsizing canopies so its going to be a tight fit. Do the canopies tend to be pretty new or very used and easy to pack? Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  9. I forgot to ask when speaking with PD. What do demo canopies come with? Is it just the canopy or risers, d-bag and pc? Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  10. I just jumped my rig with B-12 this weekend. I found them to be much easier to put on but somewhat uncomfortable. I called RWS and it would cost $120 dollars to exchange and about 1-2 weeks to get it done (not the actual work for them to get it done and back) I also asked about getting hip rings instead, which apparently is an easier job than switching the snaps because it requires a whole new harness and that costs $400. Therefore, I'll be sticking with the B12s for a little while and maybe holding out to get hip rings. Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

  13. I'm the daddy of a beautiful baby Vector 3 with a Skyhook, Sabre2 and PD reserve
  14. If I'm at the dz packing, I can't be jumping. Besides, the DZ is about 100 miles away so it's definately just a weekend thing, and with fewer jumpers in the winter they don't need as many packers Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  15. I use to strip at retirement homes. I'm a huge star among the 80 year old crowd Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  16. I'm thinking about getting a second job to both better finance my jumping and help me get rid of some bills. What are some nice, profitable, and easy to get second jobs? It should go without saying that weekends, or at least one weekend day MUST be off. What have you done for a second job? P.S. I'm now slave to the man working as a chemist [vomit emoticon] Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

  18. I enjoy a little hair. There is nothing wrong with a nice well groomed triangle, landing strip or hittle mustache. It's nice advertisement. But the "undercarriage" MUST be clean Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

    GHOSTS

I don't believe it, but at the same time I'm no F'in with it either. Those are some scary stories Two of my housemates in college swear that they were just about to fall asleep when this big ball of white light came in the room, moved around and then got out through the porch door. We still sat that they got analy(?) probed Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  22. Hello Pickle Lady, I'm glad you had fun and got to witness a good pieing. Now you can understand why we keep throwing ourselves out of those "perfectly good airplanes" Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
  23. I think I'll be joining the Ramen for the month group Chaoskitty's suggestion may yield the quickest response if your bank gives you trouble. The people on those "Shame on You" type pieces generally get their refund pretty quickly. If you choose to go this route, do some preemptive research here, so you'll have something substantial to show the news people. You'll also be on TV Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
