So I start my new job on monday. I'm glad I'll be working again, because for the past 2 months I've been bored as hell. Something you can definately get right now is a helmet and goggles. Just check with your DZ if you are thinking about a full face helmet, often times students are not allowed to use them. I'm too new to know anything, but I got an Analog Alti- Galaxy. I figured that an analog has only 1 purpose and only 1 function and only 1 setting, hence a lot less to go wrong and malfunction. I was also initially concerned about looking for that thin little needle and matching to a number, but after a coulple of jumps, I barely needed to glance at it to know my alti. PS.. I have the ProTrack in my helmet as an audible and secondary alti that keeps all the cool information, but if that fails because the batteries are low or it got wet or in the wrong setting, etc, its not that big of a deal Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

I zip-tied the bracket that comes with the ProTrac to the ear holes of the ProTec, I then used a rubber band to futher secure the unit to the bracket. I also covered the earholes with black electrical tape, which is a perfect color match to my helmet (I covered both ear holes) Everything (except the tape) was included in the Protrack (the same is included with the ProDytter). I have the screen facing my ear and not the speaker, but due to the closed ear holes I have absolutely no problem hearing it in freefall. Actually, it's extremely loud when it beeps on the way to altitude. I also read several post about not trusting the included bracket, but this configuration with the screen facing out keeps me from ever having to remove the unit from the helmet, so the bracket is extremely tight, I also have the rubber band for extra security. I'm very confident that my unit is very secure in its place. If my helmet is ever struck hard enough to disloge it, the ProTrack is really going to be the last of my worries. Cross Keys did 407 or 406 last month. They had planned to start at 6 am but due to bad weather it was started around 9 and finished b/f sunset. I think someone told me they ran out of passengers so they stopped. CK TMs do around 20 jumps on a weekend day. That's some badass shit Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
