  1. Okay, that's one of the funniest typos I've seen in a while. I realize that the DMV in many states can be a scary experience, but it's probably not as intense as a visit to the DMZ. Could depend on how far north he's intending to drive. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  2. Dinner and a movie. During the movie just get up and walk out. She'll think you're making a potty or snack run. Then, call your buds to meet you at Hooters and when she calls... put it on the speaker phone.
  3. The only one who gets physical gifts for Christmas anymore is my daughter. For every/any/one else for varying occasions (Holidays, birthdays, etc.)... a donation is made to St. Jude's Hospital and the giftee receives a tribute donation e-card: http://shop.stjude.org/GiftCatalog/shop.do?cID=10180 Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  4. No, they're not. Take a look at the PLF training segment in the skydive school url posted. We're just used to the abbreviated "Get some kind of decent roll one time on the mat, in the hangar, everyone golf clap, next TLO." Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  5. Wendy always nails it... that's why ghe rest of us can be smartasses
  6. He was a Major General and there was some racial parody involved with that segment. Yes, but was he the very model of a modern Major General? It was a sitcom. I doubt anything was very much the model for... Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  7. He also appeared in a couple episodes of 'Gunsmoke'. The man was a remarkable actor. If, he was in it... it was good. Chuck and he played the piano player in "Frankie and Johnny" with Elivs Does anyone remember his first appearance on MASH when he guest starred as a crazy Colonel who tried to Court Martial Pierce? Still laugh when I think of him dancing out of the courtroom! He was a Major General and there was some racial parody involved with that segment. BTW: He was also in the movie, "Patton." 8. Hey Max... I remember one year early 2000's... Marcus spent the entire Quincy jumping that helicopter and made like 67 jumps. Told him, he was either insane, rich or both. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  9. When I was working on my grad courses in Communications (Social Science) back in the early 90's, the subject of cameras in the courtroom surfaced to the top. We watched studies of courts that knew they had cameras and our assignment was to watch and interpret the nonverbal queues (no volume/Mute). There was another study done where only the Judge knew of the hidden camera... interestingly enough, in watching the nonverbals... without knowing it; the Judge was playing to the camera. Kinda been apposed to cameras in the courtroom ever since. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Deep Dish pizza in NYC is called, "Sicilian Pizza." Too late Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  11. ...if you remove the velcro from the pull-out, there's nothing left to hold the handle in place (I don't think that bottom flap would do the trick). If you remove the velcro from a freefly pud, the handle would stay in the same area because it's attached to the PC in the pouch. Exactly. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  12. Fair is a meaningless concept when applied to taxes. Exactly my point. You just expressed it in fewer words. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  13. Guess they'll all be moving to Cleveland soon. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  14. There's about five "types" of flat tax... which one would you suggest and why? Does a flat tax mean - no other type of tax at all? What does it mean for deductions? - Home deductions? - Would you endorse a deduction for investments for those over a certain income level or for everyone? Should those below a "poverty line" be exempt? - If so, how come? - If not; why not? How have other countries fared who've implemented a flat tax? Long-run, short run? Get's a little sticky doesn't it? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  17. Keep 'em pissed off. Kinda like bull-riding. Ya don't stroke 'em and love on 'em... Ya put on yer sharpest spurs, give a little nod, and come outta the chute digging in your heels. You ever seen a bored look on a bronc or bull rider? Nope... the harder you hit them spurs, the better the ride!!! 18. They do if you're going to be on their group plan. They cannot ask questions regarding your hobbies or extracurricular activities, health or other issues that _may_ impact the group health plan. And for the OP: if you _choose_ to answer the question, make it an activity they feel will be of benefit to your job or the organization (Golf, Chess, Volunteer organizations, etc). 19. I'd never heard of that degree program, so I looked up the curriculum. I'd be curious to know how many hours of college credit ACE is awarding for that degree for military training or if one can "CLEP/DANTE" out if they have a completion certificate from some of the military schools that offer similar courses. 20. I had this setup on my WingsEXT Yes. Yes - and made the decision to do it when the pud handle can out of the pack tray seam and went floppy on me during an exit one time (no big deal as it's just a flat hackey). No - you've just got a 1"x1/2" piece on the inside of the pack tray with the mate sewn on the pud handle. NOTE: For FF'ing, it's really a great setup. 21. Forever is a long time. Cordura is a great H/C material Spacer Foam is worth the wait. Wouldn't you have rather waited 6 weeks to have something you wanted forever; than to get something less that you were impatient about and be disappointed - forever? 22. Well, in Germany (unless you are a teacher, educator, trainer, Catholic priest etc) you don't have to care about the federal state. The "Schutzalter" (more or less: age of consent)is the same throughout Germany That's not true either. http://www.ageofconsent.com/germany.htm Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
  23. Huhu... but the funniest part is that Americans have to wait until 18 That's not true. Read Ryoder's post #5 Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

  25. Not sure why you brought this movie up in this thread, but I watched it last night through a $0.99 rental at iTunes and it was good. From what I understand this movie is based on real life events and life kept throwing shit sandwiches at the movie's main character Chris Gardner (played by Will Smith) and Mr Gardner kept on soldier on. Yes it was clear at times Mr Gardner was at or near rock bottom and was clearly frustrated. But he never gave up. I wonder how many of today's generation of entitled "Occupiers" would be able to dig as deep as Mr Gardner did. It was clarification of Billvon's post #11 as to the "recent movie." Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
