Hey, Dove, that's awesome! You're gonna be workin' hard, but having a blast! A few of the people at my station worked on the national coverage of the Olympics in Barcelona, and loved it! I guess skydiving will have to take a back seat for a while, but the Olympics will be an experience you'll remember for the rest of your years! Have fun!

Cool story, Chuck! How can anyone not like snow??? It's wonderful... my winter jumping goal? Be on the first load of the day, with fresh snow on the ground. Land in Farmer McNasty's field, leaving footprints that seem to start from nowhere! Unfortunately, it's way warmer than normal here right now, so the chance of snow, at least for a while, is remote. But it sure rained like hell today! I managed to take the wife and kids for nice walk thru a forest around a beautiful lake today, so that was second best (I'm gonna put on my helmet and goggles later on and just daydream about the sit flyin' I was hoping to do if the wx had been better today...)

'Sis, you are going to great lengths to NOT tell us how many jumps you did ... but I guess it doesn't really matter... Now who is this dude you're doin' who has 4600 jumps (not that it really matters...) I feel like I am the Seinfeld episode where someone is gay, and Jerry and George keep saying "not that there's anything wrong with that..." But I still love ya 'Sis, even if you won't tell!

Hi ya, Billy! I think the Kamloops May Meet is held on the 3rd weekend in May (statutory holiday here in Canada)... here is the Kamloops Skydiving Club's website where information will eventually be available: http://www.skydivekamloops.org/ 76 jumps? Sounds excellent to me!

I'm producing a newscast at work now, so I don't have a spare second in my day at work to come on and play, and I just seemed to have buggered off in the evenings... but hey - I'm baaaack... got a head cold today, so I can't go for a jump -- BUMMER! I don't time it anymore -- I wait until the previous group is moving away at a 45 degree angle before going. Keep in mind also that foward throw lasts about 5 seconds, and when the plane is flying intro strong winds, you need even more separation...

Ahhh, another BC skydiver! I'm in Victoria. Visited Vernon this past summer -- and I used to live in Kelowna! Welcome to DZ.com. I know the feeling you are describing -- we all do! Keep jumping, and make sure you get to Kamloops on the May long weekend... big skydiving event there - for skydivers of all skill levels. And most of all, just ask away. This is a great place to share your feelings, get answers to your questions, and for just plain old "hangin' out" --- just watch out for Justin and Clay...

Or Big John... guy at my DZ is a national level weightlifter, and all-round big musclar strong guy... weighing in at (I think) 260 lbs. He's about 5'11", and I'm 6'6" weighing in at 185 lbs. One of the first (and probably last for a while) jumps we tried together - the pro-track reported a speed in excess of 160 mph - belly flying! I couldn't even get close diving! We have managed to fall together, but I was wearing 10 lbs... and he was flat as could be.

Good beer -- south of the border??? BWAAHAHHAAHAHAHHA!!! Well... I have heard that Speedy makes good beer... (I'm drinking "India Pale Ale" right now - which I made myself) Anyway, Pammi -- isn't Merrick lookin' for a profitable enterprise? Maybe he can work for ya???
