NNOOOOOOOO! Anyway, I've given up ... hhmmm -- well ??? Nothing, really!!! Lucky me! Although I DID spend our vacation savings to buy a rig a 20 months ago...
-
A man, on his deathbed, admitted he was DB Cooper in Florida a year or so ago... FBI said it could indeed have been him... it was reported in various media

PhreeZone has kindly posted "The Exit Song" on his website, Jason, for those who want to hear it... there is a link called "try here instead" in one of his posts in the "Song" thread...
-
Thanks for posting it, PhreeZone, but I can't get there from here ... is it just my computer???
-
Where I live, I'd say that Orcas (Killer Whales for all of you who are land-locked) would be at the top of the food chain. And, hey - the guy was just gonna rot anyway...
-
There is a distinction - Canada is indeed part of "North America", just as the "United States of America" is, but Canada is NOT, and never will be, part of "America". The Viking is right! Thank you and goodnight

You were with Clay?
-
Cyber had it on his website way back when ... anyone out there who I can e-mail it to that would post it somewhere?
-
Snowbird, there will be many opportunities there to do student jumps if that is where you are at in your progression... fear not! It's also a great place to talk to and learn from lots of high level skydivers (myself NOT included in that group - I'm gonna be learning lots, too). I actually learned a lot there listening to the de-brief by Philip (from Eloy) after the BC record attempt big way that I enjoyed watching from below...
-
Sure hopin' so! Had a blast there last year... met Tee, favaks, 174fps (Hey, Andrew - I hear ya met Big John at Eloy!) there... I'm saving those precious $ as we speak!
-
There ain't no such thing!!! I'm reminded of the day a whuffo at my workplace asked me what happened if my parachute didn't open... I looked perplexed, and replied "Gee, I never thought of that..." No it isn't... this is Canada -- I can tell! I looked at a map...
-
We've been up and down this a million times, so my answer is "NO... comment"
-
Is he still alive??? I thought the only "petting" he enjoyed was with his beautful sidekick models!
-
I'd have to say that putting a dog in the back of a pick-up is much more dangerous than taking one on a skydive... As for dogs and children, I have both, and would trade the animals life for a humans in a flash... PETA ? total wackos... SPCA? Misguided do-gooders...IMHO
-
Me too - and I can't see 3d pictures thru those cheap little glasses either... damaged optic nerve on one side means less than great depth perception (but I can tell when the ground is coming up to bite me!!!)...

Victoria, B.C. on the West Coast of Canada. Jumping at Ultimate High Parachute Centre since 16 May 1998.

Well it still takes more than 6 seconds for 4 people to climb out that little door and get into position! At least it did for us last weekend -- although there's no way you could call us a team!
-
Ok Ok, enough ... my bad. I'll shut up, stand down, back off, eat my words, etc now.
-
Good for you, man. You made the healthy choice... stick with it.
-
I'm with you, buds... can't get too upset about a dog with tics when there's children on this planet living in total poverty or in war-torn countries, people without clean water to drink, slums in parts of Africa where 10,000 share one toilet But everyone is entitled to their own passions, I guess... Animals? I like 'em! Cooked...

I'm still laughing after reading this exchange!!!
-
Ya, baby!!! I got to play it loud on a on fender stratocaster thru big honkin' PA at my 40th b/day party at the DZ a few weeks back with the rest of the band backin' me up! YeeHawwwww!!! I better start workin' on another skydiving tune real soon! Thanks for remembering! "your canopy's loaded so down you go yank on a riser, babe yer gettin' low set-up for landing you flare just right pack it back in, baby take the next flight"
-
'Sis, could ya see the ground when ya flared??? J/K How come she's not here being foul about this entertaining little movie? I kinda expected some new expletives from her!
-
Maybe out of a big plane like an Otter, but I think it is likely longer (never actually timed it) for a C-182, which you will find at small dropzones everywhere... anyway, we put bellyfliers out before freefliers.

This is good advice ... I made 55 jumps last year, so I'm in no hurry to downsize from my 1:1 loading... one of my jump budies did more jumps than that at Eloy over Christmas. Of course, he's comfortable at a higher wing loading.
