that is my preference. everyone has to start somewhere though... I don't need a ground crew manual. i just thought it would be funny if one existed that i could pass along to the aspiring BASE wannabes. in the wonderful world of the internet, i figured there would be something out there. again, it's not like i need this... just thought i'd see if one existed. i don't need a ground crew as i rarely jump alone, and never with people i don't trust.

i'm not particularly fond of spectators, but in some cases a ground crew or getaway driver may be in order... in which case, others may wish to tag along. does anyone know of an informal "ground crew etiquette handbook"?? even if it's a smartass joke type thing. it would be nice to have something that lays out some of the obvious for people who have apparently never done anything illegal or "sneaky". of course you can tell them they cannot come. but i like being a nice guy, just don't want to end up in jail just for being that.

i was just curious how long that "Dan The Man Blows Goats" sticker has been in the window at the Horner. that IS legendary!

sure, except that someone advises you, and then you receive advice.

unless i misunderstand what you mean, that would work, but you'd have to climb back up and get it to not "leave a trace".

i have a couple Mojos i'd be willing to sell or trade towards a new ZP BlackJack.

sure, a softlink thru your 3rings on jumps you don't intend to cutaway.

you are correct about a "possible" snag hazard. but in my box, it is still much better off than just stuck naked on top like i see the majority of people doing. furthermore, a still camera itself is a snag hazard in any configuration. snags are definitely "possible", but they don't concern me much.

i hope it wasn't a sign to stay away from your addiction to army color schemes.

made this D-box (fiber) for about 10 bucks and a few hours of work. it's not pretty, but it's very effective.

i think i lost my LIMTS at the bowling alley. why do they forsake me?

very awesome dropzone. it seems like a well kept secret for some reason. you guys hit it up on a crappy weather day as well. if you go down for a whole weekend, i'm sure you'll be glad you did.

just don't drop it down the spiral staircase at the horner....

DON"T RUIN MY GREAT NAME! (i swear it's not me)

reaching is a sign of weakness. hands on risers during deployment (especially asymetrical pressure) leads to off heading openings. your fear should be gone once you commit. like nick said... edit to add example...

i learned everything from reading the BASE Zone.

well be careful today... you don't want a VUI (voting under the influence). i can't even stomach the thought of politicians without being intoxicated.

at first my pro was pretty tight, so i legthened the closing loops to a comfortable tension. for the last couple years it's been loose, with very low pin tension (which i've been meeting to shorten) and i've not had any trouble with low freefalls, or terminal jumps. although, i did have a pin pop on an A last summer... the nice thing about the p pro, is that even if the loops are loose, the closing flap closes the same.

nice weekend... thanks Trey. there was at least 3.5 people i was glad to see again. the poker tournament was pretty awesome too, especially because i won the first one. suckers. but, i am glad i packed fast enough to make the poker bigway... and actually snuck in before break off... you guys rock. i agree... although i must admit, i do use one tool... a pull up cord to tie my 3rings together... which is however, impossible to miss when closing the rig. i just don't understand the pc thing. but, then again, i'm not that smart.

u are confused,... you just copied my number... maybe i copied yours??

last time i was on it my Suunto read 242 from the catwalk to the lowest point... although... there's not much flat ground other than between the pillars.. wherein i've never actually landed. i'm sure a laser would be more accurate...

koolio... thanks and good to finally meet you in person...
