  1. hey good job on wasting 20 bux, you're only a few away from a B... now save your money to pay for all the other crap from uspa... but seriously... congrats. ~E
  2. Good God, MAN! i have to agree with Ed on this one. let it go. doing the right thing is a personal responsibility. no one needs to tell you to drink or not to. decide for yourself what and how much you can handle... just like YOU decide what kind and how small of a canopy you will jump. there are a lot more people out there that'll get hurt or hurt someone else from downsizing against better judgment than there are due to alcohol. if you can't handle it don't do it. if you fuck up, deal with it. oh yah, by the way... you "old timers" should know that things aren't half as bad as they once were... i recall a time when doing just about anything while drinking was almost the norm. i.e. beer at lunch in "The Army". ~E
  3. of course it flew like crap compared to your sabre2... you're comparing a toyota echo to a mustang. one is made for some performance and faster turns... the other is to get you there. it doesn't fly like crap... it flies like a 7cell f111 canopy. don't say crap until you've flown another reserve. ~E
  4. Lila, you rock! be whatever you want... my first jump i knew this was for me forever. personally for me, the only balance i need is keeping the beer steady in the tractor when i'm mowing the DZ... ~E
  5. Good God! some of this is scary! Listen, Rock on and fly however you want.... but if you want to do something, do it right. especially like everyone has been saying in here about "freefly friendly" rigs. i've seen a few premature deployments from inches away... and that is not Kool! it's not just about your safety. and on a side note... i'd rather base jump a bedsheet than freefly a dolphin! ~E
  6. Listen man, you're gonna be nervous, especially during AFF. Even if you weren't nervous or scared about the jump, chances are you'll suffer from performance anxiety... worrying about how you perform what your instructor told you to do. (nothing sexual, that could become a lawsuit) The only way you'll shake the pre jump jitters on every jump is if your jumping a lot everyday... then you may become complacent like me. Hell, what's the worst thing that can happen? ~E
  7. Well first off, I have to say yes because I skydive almost everyday, and I'm not giving up drinking. In fact, if it wasn't for the fact that I know there's beer waiting on the ground... I probably would've just decided not to pull a long time ago. JK ~E
  8. The easiest cure for hearing loss like that is to just look at the person talking to you, nod your head and smile. Just pretend you understand, chances are they weren't saying anything of any merit anyway. That's why i prefer email to phone. ~E
  9. As an avid tattooed loser, (I've been known to have one or two) I can confidently say that a cover up will look outstanding... Just like choosing a new piece of art, have an idea for the cover up as well. The key is finding an artist that has experience in complicated cover ups. Any idiot can put a big black blob over your old screw-up, but it takes a little skill to make a great new piece of art. Check out their portfolio for previous cover-ups. Unless you feel guilty about getting a tattoo in the first place, don't waste your money on removal. Needles are your friend! ~E
