  1. i guess that's just the nature of the beast with a new canopy, especially one of that size. i'd say just keep doing whatever your instructor is telling you, he most likely won't steer you wrong. no matter how you pack it, it will only get easier with lots of practice. and i'm not talking about 10 or 20 pack jobs. more like 1-200. also, they make it look very fast and easy on the precision website, and it is... with a 98ft canopy. but i can pro pack twice as fast as that without all that extra bag flipping crap. just my $.02.
  2. whatchu' talkin' about Ray? i don't stir up trouble, do i? shit, maybe i wasn't rehabilitated in that 3years???
  3. i'm not saying it sounds bad... but a bigger challenge is writing something that's not slow and sad, and in minor keys. try something with some excitement and energy first if you want to succeed. just my .02. otherwise, just rock on! music is the bomb!
  4. well maybe it's because i'm only 15 years old, but i'm confused. you complained because you had to come to the US? or because labeling people bitching about what others are starting posts about is grounds for a load of crap. ??
  5. obviously you've never been to the U.S. if you think that's a "load", i got news for ya'. didn't mean to offend your delicate sensibilities.
  6. well, this isn't too surprising to me... my results
  7. that's what i'd do, except when he gets out, trade it back to him for some pot.
  8. put simply, all Micron containers are 10" wide at the top and 10" wide at the bottom, except for the 308 and 310 which are 10" and 11" respectively. the tall models are the ones with the "1"s in the middle, i.e. the 310, 314, 316, 319. so really the major difference, depending on what goes in it, is in thickness (biased by length). does this make sense? i think that's the basic gist of it... i could be wrong.
  9. for what it's worth, i've also got a V316 with a cypress and an R-max 118... and have put a Katana 107, Stiletto 120, and a Xaos21 98 in there with no problems and no adjustment of the closing loop.
  10. VIII Micron (V316) only slightly bigger than my camel-bak!
  11. Zero Porosity only means "non-porous". it isn't any particular fabric or material. look harder.

    Well . . .

it's amazing how many of us that don't know you very well, and have only briefly met you, were calling eachother behind the scenes to figure out what was going on. those of us at Sonic Beef wanted to make sure you know that we love you man, and like any brethren are here for you. don't go away, and don't be quiet. just keep on like you've been. i truly enjoy reading everything you put out there. and like i said before, i was honored to shake your hand. cheers! ~E
  13. BTW, Ray... i agree with you 100%
  14. and in the middle of the afternoon! those bastard DAYBLAZERS!
  15. as long as it's attatched securely and won't come undone, you should have no problem. when i do hop and pops i leave it all the way out... it's one less step to prepare for landing!
  16. looks good to me, Beezy. great post, if people are really doing that wrong... yikes!
  17. it's a good habit to form... double checking and all that... but sometimes you get in a bit of a rush or have someone else packing for you when your're doing 15-20 loads a day!
  18. not to bust on ya, but i never heard you mention that you looked over your shoulder to SEE what was happening??? i've jumped my pullout rig with an uncocked pc twice... when i threw out, with the lack of the snatch force when i'm used to it, i got a sort of "falling" sensation... i looked back at an inside out pc and immediately reached back and pulled the pin myself by the bridal. once the bag cleared my burble, normal opening and no problems. i do have long arms and jump a small rig, so i wouldn't reccomend this, and it may not always work, but just thought i'd add my experience.
  19. i think someone already asked this, but how do i get a hold of norman or get a copy of all that bad-ass video he shot???
  20. you bet, Cristi! thank you too, that was an awesome jump! and you're on the roster! i think #81??? later...
  21. well, about 100 people a year are killed on golf courses when struck by golf balls. anyway, anything you do is only as safe as you make it out to be in comparison to something else. breathing is not safe when your head is in a cloud of carbon monoxide.
  22. oh yah, and not that most of you care... but anyone who i got to jump with thanks again, and pm me your info so i can officially enter yer names into the Sonic Beef roster... you've all been tainted now, it's too late, whether you like it or not!!! ~Elliot
