Black Daggers: Demonstrators NOT Swoopers
blitzkrieg replied to katiebear21's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
that is some good stuff! i like arlo's landing in the beginning too! keep up the good work boyz... the army needs you! ~Elliot -
leroy, i respect your post, but i wonder why you even bother posting stuff like that here... you know this place is full of shiteaters and imperialistic fags. that's why we started sonic beef. i'm only replying here to let the experts in australia know there equally welcome here in the US. which is by the way, the finest nation in the world.

again calling all members and wannabes to register on www.sonicbeef.com let's get it in gear, slackers. ~E

anyone interested in doing some Beefy Free Fly jumps, i'll be at Mullin's place this weekend for his boogie @ west tn skydiving.... then again, eat me. ~E

again just for the record... I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH BLAZING ANY SITE. love, Elliot
-
first of all, i didn't do anything to shame the BASE community... i didn't blaze anything myself. i'm not even going to waste anymore of my time arguing about nonsense. but if somehow anyone feels that i am a person that is damaging the BASE community and needs to be threatened... my full name and home town is and always has been posted in my avitar. pay me a visit. also as a side note, if trespassing BASE jumpers are the big law breaking criminals you're making them out to be... come see the outstanding citizens i hang out with here. oh and Faber... it's not that i don't care about "peoples places", my whole point is no BASE jumper owns these objects. they didn't want any here in the first place. so what's to change about the object if it happens to be the victim of a blazing jumper? if BASE jumpers are so good at not letting anyone know they were there, than keep going without getting caught and shut the hell up. and again if you think you know me from a few snotty lines i've posted here in some forum, all i can say is have a nice life... i wasn't ever begging anyone here to take me jumping. PEACE ~E

shit happens. get over it. that site was already hot. the person that owns that 'A' doesn't jump it and never will. and had offered rewards to anyone who could bust a BASE jumper on it some time ago. but i guarantee i know someone who will jump it again. what are you gonna do, arrest me? ~E .
-
sorry i didn't jump with you guys this weekend... damn students, always taking all my time! haha. anyway, we must do some fun jumps next weekend, since it apparently will be my LAST weekend at Skydive Parkton. the weekend after i'll be at bridge day, and then i'm off to KY. shit happens. ~E

i used to live near that factory. it's hardly a small family operation anymore, but they're still damn good chips. although last i knew, it was owned and operated by annheiser busch.... ??? but they don't give out free beer at the tour, so forget it. ~E

i would like to take this opportunity to say, Nick, you are the man. i very much enjoy reading your posts when i get the chance because you always seem to have something meaningful, insightful, or just plain moving to say. thanks. i'd love to pick your brain sometime if the opportunity ever arises. anyway, godspeed and we'll see ya' at Bridge Day!? ~E

i have to confer with the bossman, (The Beef), but i do believe that there will be a continous update of members and associated illegal activity via the official website once everything is up and running. let me see what we can get accomplished here during the next hurricane! ~E

just wanted to add in that i'm in total agreement with Dave. i jumped his demo 120 and that thing rocks! for a semi, the thing cruises and is just as fast as my stiletto with nice easy front risers. of course i wingload it a little more than you'll be. ok, so i'm useless. ~E

how to pack my triathlon 175 to snival
blitzkrieg replied to airborne82nd's topic in Gear and Rigging
i know the original post is a little old, but... it sounds to me mainly that you have a problem with your line stows. but as you said you switched to micros, that will probably help a lot. also i know a few people who roll their nose 3 and 3, but i wouldn't recommend it as it can cause you to blow out the center cell. that's what "they" say anyway. also, don't over roll your tail... 4 times should be enough, otherwise the you'll get snivel snivel smack! as the canopy partially inflates fighting the tail and then sends the slider down in a hurry. just some thoughts from my experience. i've put a few on that canopy and had no probs. ~E -
but, I AM a packing machine! i mean, i need less than 3 minutes to pack a cutaway! ~E
-
i've put a ploethra of jumps on a stiletto 135 that had at least 3000 jumps on it with a new line set. still had plenty of flare power and flew great all around despite the fact that you can breathe through the fabric. i had a few spinning openings on it, but i would just reccomend jumping the canopy yourself to see. ~E p.s. my avitar is a picture of me holding my reserve after having REAL bad line twists on that canopy! haha.

rock on brother! don't be discouraged by trolls on this site not to post. everybody knows something about everything around here, and they all want to be your mentor or some shit. just because they have a lot of "posts" doesn't mean they have a lot of jumps. anyway, "dangerous sports" all depends on who's doing the study and what kind of #s they're manipulating. check this one out for instance... http://my.webmd.com/content/article/92/101639.htm personally, skydiving isn't dangerous enough for me, that's why i started BASE jumping. haha. ~E
-
you drunk ass mo-fo's!!! well, i am also guilty of these things i guess... anyway, i'm in some hotel getting paid to sit here like usual somewhere in the US. but when i get back to the Sonic Beef HQs, you better be prepared to do some serious preperation for bridge day! The R4 is in full effect! as for the rest of you punks... well, whatever. ~E
-
yes, i am the Sonic Beef "Brander". aka SB#4. and yes, you have to party with us, but you don't have to get re-cock-u-lously intoxicated and run 20 miles home from the club in the middle of the night like me. HAHAHAHAHH! i will never surrender! ~E SONIC BEEF for LIFE!

if someone was next to me when i was about to jump and said it was a bad idea, i'd reconsider. i suppose i wasn't specific in my response. all i'm saying is i think it's pretty obvious what the risks are in this sport, well before you start to climb. furthermore, when i started AFF, no one said to me that i was certainly going to get hurt at some point after i started jumping. skydiving and BASE jumping are inherently dangerous activities. both sports are based on a series of calculated risks. if someone can't accept that, they should not have ever been here in the first place. my point was that this post was started to see what can be done to help reduce some of that calculated risk among new jumpers. not to question the basis of the sport. i had no intention of making a post on this, but i do know the situation. ncjumpjunkie is someone i know and consider a very good friend, and who is also a very knowledgable jumper. so, i take his post seriously because it effects all of us,especially in our area. so maybe my point is a little clearer. maybe not. i just know that I don't need to be reminded of the dangers other than maybe a case by case scenario. no one knows everything about everthing. that's the thrill of life. ZegeunerLeben, i understand your point, but i feel it's irrelevent in this thread. my opinion is that a new jumper should have their awakening, traumatic or not, long before they step off of a fixed object. tom, i know i'm not a moderator, no disrespect intended. but at first glance, that did not seem to be a concern for my safety, more like a disciplinary warning. what is "long enough"? i'll leave it at that for now... ~E
-
so tell me, is what you do worth the risks, and why? have you ever stood on the edge? have you ever left the edge? have you ever stood on the edge without a rig? if someone is standing next to me and tells me i will CERTAINLY be seriously injured, i'd slap them in their fucking mouth. there is NOTHING certain about life except death. the original reason this was posted was to try and eliminate some of the risks among newer jumpers. unless you really know what and who you're talking about, i'd ask you to keep your opinions to yourself. &thanks for wasting your time reading this. ~E
-
yes kevin, remember when i was headdown in yer face, and the other thing head level was your D bag? that was scary. but, i would've FF'd yer rig if that "genious" had just tightened up his closing loop! i'd jump a javelin any day over a dolphin or a racer! ~E

yes. to get an accurate air temperature reading you have to be out of direct sunlight and away from objects that would prevent air circulation. the temp you feel has many other elements added in to the equasion. ya, it's hot... that's all i need to know. i'll leave all that technical crap to someone who gets paid for it. ~E
