I did not get video, I never even thought about it. I guess my video camera on a tripod would probably do the trick. I'm not sure it's video I want to see, although I'm sure it would help.Thanks, James

It looks like this could get expensive, but I think I can progress faster/cheaper this way than just jumping. Hopefully I can avoid some bad habits working with the instructors in the tunnel. Anyone else have any good tips? James

Do you think the first swoop was intentional or an O-shit low turn that got pulled out of just in time resulting in a "turf surf"? James

I grew up just down the road from you in Adrian. Never jumped till last year in AZ, sure wish I had started years ago. Have fun,be safe. James

I did 10 min starting to learn "back flying" at SVAZ and it was a very "humbling" experience. towards the end of the 10 minutes I was getting up off the net, but was very much not in control. The tunnel instructors did a very nice job of trying to make me feel better about what just happened as I was obviously discouraged. I fully understand that this is a slow process and can hardly wait to get in there and try again. Belly flying on the other hand has been a jump in and have fun type deal. (maybe because almost all my jumps are belly) My advise for anyone trying back flying in the tunnel for the first time is to pay very good attention to the instructor before going into the tunnel. He/she will be giveing you a much longer "dive flow" since you will be in the tunnel for more than a regular skydive. I'm not saying that I didn't pay attention just that I should have went over it a few more times as there were times when I had difficulty understanding what I was to be doing. Hopefully you get what I mean, there is a lot to remember in a 10 min "flight". Has anyone got advise for me for when I try again? It won't be long.

Got home from work yesterday and there was that mssg again.

Got the call to come in and try out the new tunnel for free.

Heck no on balking at free tunnel time!!!!!!!!! Kim and I didn't realize that's what was ment from the mssg, we thought it was a pay as you go type thing and they were trying to fill open time. Even then I still thought it nice they remembered our intrest in the tunnel and called with an opening so soon. I guess I should have left someone a work # to call. I'm sure I could have come up with a sudden "illness" that required me to leave. Thanks so much for thinking of us with an oppertunity like that. Got home from work to a "strange" phone mssg. They wanted to know if I wanted some available time at 4:00. Normally phone sales don't go over well with me but this was cool. Only problem was I got the mssg at 6:30. I'm a little curious how the phone call was originated, If i'm flying so poorly that they are leaving mssg's to get me in the tunnel ASAP I wish someone would tell me. James

Does the rig with the tube handle fit you ok? I was thinking that rig might be moving around dureing the freefall. Is it a locating the tube or pulling the tube problem? I have very little experience so I won't offfer advise accept to go over this with the instructor. It was not a problem for me with the tube type dureing AFF but all the jumps were on that same type system. James

Mine got delivered yesterday. I went down to lenscrafters to have lenses made because I was to impatient to wait the week for them to get done somewhere cheaper. My perscription is +6.25 left and +6.5 right with a little astigmatism in the left. When the lenses were done I put them in the goggles and ,bummer, my vision straight ahead was terrible. The checked the lenses and they were fine. The head guy came over and checked things out, he told me the angle that the inserts put the lens in front of my eyes was to steep. They did not charge me for the lenses and let me keep them. James

If it came from walmart it was probably made in Korea/Tiawan/China anyway. Most likely there are more foreign made US flags sold in the US than US made US flags. Something to think about. James

If he just burned his own flag I wouldn't like it but I would live with it. I don't agree with flag burning, but will defend the right of others to do so. This fine young man on the other hand stole a flag that someone else took the time, money, and PRIDE to display. I think the person who's flag was stolen and burned should have a say in what happens to this wonderful person whom in your opinion was just exercising his rights. James

Hold up there lets not go to far!!!!!!!! If you keep that up you and I might have to get out near the end of the jump run with a crappy spot. Freeflyers are just pyhsicaly able to get back from long spots better than "us", I think it's something in their genes( or is that jeans). Lets not encourage them to think of themselves as "equals" it just opens the door to all kinds of problems. James

I'm waiting for the lawsuit, guy pulls in to parking space spinners a spinnin after he stops, little kid sticks his finger in there. OUCH! I'm sure these same people think we're crazy for paying big $ to risk our necks. To each his own, and if you can make a few bucks off a stupid trend more power to you. James

I have a problem with more federal intervention in my life. What's the point of a national ID card if they don't arrest the "illegals" anyway. Here in AZ unless your close to the border most "illegals" just get detained for a little while (hours if that) then released. The Fed's won't come and get them. Some states want to give them food stamps and drivers licences. The laws and paperwork are already in place to do the job, all we need is somone to enforce it. I had to provide my license to a deputy the other day while I was working on my sons truck. He was looking for some dirtbag that used to live in the neighborhood and matched my physical description. (short white guy I guess) I handed him my license, he knew I was not the dirtbag in question, we BS'd a couple minutes and all was cool. It's easy enough to tell who should be here and who not if you can get in their wallets now, we don't need any more cards to carry. James

Almost be worth the trip to Pittsburgh to kick this morons ass. Anybody who makes life tuff on a dissabled child is about as low as they come. This ass inflicted needless pain on a child with limited ability in order to win at T-ball. I think he should feel the pain of a severe beating, maybe if he ends up with some jail time the "boys" will take care of it. James
