Nice...............next 100 won't take as long I bet. I should hit 100 at the holiday boogie. Funny that sounds like a huge # to a wuffo, but is just the beginning. Congrats, James

Changes from state to state for sure, maybe county to county, city to city. In AZ it may be concealed in the vehicle loaded as long as it is properly holstered. I believe in California you would go to Jail for this. (not sure though) James

Multiple charges=higher bail=more money for the courts to keep in fines. Also allows them to plea bargain "down" to what the original charge should have been. It's all about the money and lawyers. The individual police officer probably has more "paper work" for multiple charges to get the same "criminal" off the streets for one night, if that. I think this problem is the result higher ups than your average street cop. James

Un-assembled peanut butter sandwich at school. I can't believe there weren't more casualties. Probably should be permanently removed from school and get lots of counceling. James

Wasn't "safe" befor, not "safe" now. I'm not sure I would want to give up the "freedoms" neccesary to be "safe". James

My computer skills are almost as bad as my skydiving skills. If only I was as amped about improving my computer skills as I am skydiving. The wife and I just started in July (skydiving). James PS Dave, I hope your jumping with your wife to be 18 yrs.

This is my wife Kim and I celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary 10-8-04 in Eloy. It is her 46th and my 49th jump. Thanks Wes, great job getting the shot for us. James

They're both assholes, one just stinks more than the other. No competition with jibjab, not even close. James

I've flown over the construction site (hole) for the wind tunnel at Eloy the last 2 weeks and wonder how much outside wind turbulence it will cause? How far will a skydiver be affected by this (altitude and horizontally)? James

I think I would pull the pillow then the handle because I touch all three in order as an emergency practice drill. I'm pretty sure it would happen from muscle memory. James

It's a tough situation but seems like a huge waste of money to go both ways at once. I might be ok with grandfathering them in (ones that are here already) If we could then seal off the borders better than we do now. Also an immigration program for people who want to work and make a better life for themselves would be great if someone could come up with a good one. It appears that we almost have 2 borders now one that Illegals are not allowed to cross, and one a little further into the country that if they can cross then they are OK. James

I can't believe they still want to give welfare and drivers license to illegals. Calling them illegals implies that they should be arrested/deported as soon as they make any sort of "official contact" (any contact with government type agencies). I can't say what the current candidates views are on this, maybe someone here can inform me. If I go to San Diego from Phoenix I will have to go through at least 2 sometimes more Border Patrol checkpoints without leaving the country. What is the point of all this enforcement if we're going to give welfare checks/jobs to everyone that gets by? James

What she said. I can tell you about my recent purchase just off student status. I was on a navigator 220 and just purchased a sillouhette 210. I have been told that it is a very similar canopy to the nav. I have 8 jumps on it now and it seems faster than the nav for sure. The nav did not have a collapsible pilot chute and the sill. does. I have it loaded approx .9 to 1. I'm useing the better safe than sorry plan for now. I will tell you that a few people have told me I should have gone smaller. I figure there is plenty of time to downsize later. 50 jumps from now I might feel different but I'll worry about that later. Remember I only have 36 jumps so I should not be trusted, I give you not advice just relate my opinion. Have fun James
-
Thanks all, I bought the canopy and have jumped it 8 times now and am very happy with it. With my low experience level as a warning I would reccomend it to any new jumper like myself. James

Thanks James

Hey dumb ass, you should have put this in gear and rigging. Sorry appologies to all. James

Stupid low time newbie question here. Are the rubber bands used for line stows the same as similarly sized office rubber bands? It's not that I'm to cheap to buy them at the dropzone, I want to do a little "practice packing" at home and don't have any in case of breakage or if I find weak/damaged. Office Max is 2 miles away vs 70+ to dropzone. Thanks for the advice. I searched and did not find anything on this but did find great packing tips along the way.

What about private sales? If I sell you a $2500 rig do we give uncle sam an extra 23%? If this happens the "black market" will really boom. It also would put a lot of people out of work, IRS and Income tax profesionals. Don't get me wrong I never mind seeing the gov. miss a few $$$ and certainly won't cry if the IRS assholes lose their jobs. A "fair" tax system for everyone is what we need. Problem is it will only seem fair if it benefits me/you. James

Forgot I posted here or I would have replied sooner. I got this advice from a high # jumper in Eloy and checked with my instructor befor doing it myself. It made all the difference in the world for me. I appreciate all the people who came to my defense for shareing my experience. I also understand Kai2k1's concern for svaillon's safety because of mine and his low experience level. I searched some of Kai2k1's other posts and found that his attitude seems good in general and am sure this was just an example of being very concerned for someone else's safety. On the other hand I have found that there is always someone waiting to "jump" on what is offered here in a very negative way. There is always a way to correct people without trying to make them feel "small". Everyone has something to learn and also something to offer. Isn't that why we're all here (DZ.com) anyway. James

Watch out for $9.00 lift tickets plus fuel , pilot, aircraft maint fee, and airport tax. James

Tough audience, guess I'll have to elevate my level of computer "geekness" to keep people happy here. James

Sorry about the repost. I did take the time to do a search, only came up with one reference in a peacefulljeffry post. Must have done something wrong. I most sincerely apologize for wasting everyone's time, wait a minute your all just killing time anyway, apology retracted. James
