I'm sure most, damn near all the employees your babysitting make more than that. If you can come up with a tactfull way to point this out it might help. James

Re: [cheneyneel] Cypres Investigations???

If additional connections are a big hit to reliability then design a "swooper" version of the cutter with the additional 2 wires and switch hardwired in. The big problem I see would be the routing of the wires and switch. A remote could be used for this but might increase the size of the cutter to much. James -

Maybe this is over simplifying things but, How about a second "wire harness" that would go inbetween the cutter and the unit (whatever brand) with a switch that the jumper can activate creating an open circuit to the cutter? A turn on when packing turn off after opening kind of thing. James -

What type of scorpions do you have in Texas, big black ones or the little tan ones? I use a pair of long handled needle nose pliers to get rid of them here at the lake. If you toss them in the water alive the fish are all over them. I wouldn't want to try to put one on the hook though. I got stung by a bark scorpion 2 summers ago and it was like someone was holding a lit cigarette against my finger for hours. On top of that it seemed to give me a "buzz" of sorts. The finger that got stung was numb on the end for a couple of months after. All in all it was a very bad experience. Do you have pets or children? James

After a problem like this I also like to run the motors on a seperate fuel source the first time. An outboard "throw" tank with known good fuel works well for this. I also use an outboard fuel "squeeze ball" to draw as much of the water out of the boat tanks as possible. If the boat is on a trailer tilt it so the fuel in the tank runs towards the fuel pickup, the water will collect up at the lowest point in the tank so you want that near the pickup to get as much out as poss. Squeeze out fuel with the bulb and check in clear container untill as much of the water is gone as poss. I have cleared many a motor with this problem and almost always have good results, so like bozo said you should be fine. One last thing check your fuel tank vent to make sure there is no way for "water spray" to be going into it when the boat is under way, I have run into a few that have rotated so the vent holes face the front and collect water. Good luck, James

Hey Bazz, What kind of training program did you do, static line or AFF? Freefall with other people will open up a whole new world if you have not done it yet. Flying relative to other people is very challenging in the begining. If it's the death defying rush your looking for there are certainly less expensive ways to put your nuts on the line. James

You don't need gear, they have a brand new skyventure wind tunnel. You can drive out to canyon lake for lunch and a boat ride, if that floats your boat, so to speak. Of course canyon lake is about as far as Eloy and given the choice....... James

I am not allowed to take a dog into a restaurant, yet a blind man may bring his assistive animal in. The US is full of laws requiring access for "differently abled" people. If they are going to let people jump, they could probably be sued for not makeing it "wheelchair accessable". James

I guess you can't count DC, but that still leaves quite the spread between the high and low end. North Dakota gets back more than 3 times what New Jersey does per dollar paid in, wow. I guess AZ doesn't have it to tough on that one. Consider my whine on the fed tax issue dried up (as it applies here) James
-
You make a good point there. I have many times noticed that we have to little water at the same time as other places have "more than enough". On the other hand it has been a long time since the lack of water in AZ affected the rest of the country as much as recent hurricane damage has. Did I comment on the unnatural location of NO? I asked a question about how far below sea level they are. A valid question, I thought, considering the title of the thread. A dam burst would really do me in. My buiss. is located on a lake with two dams/lakes above it. If one of those dams let go I and the buiss. would be FUBAR. James

Very interesting, what states have the lowest returns on their Fed. tax "investment"? Back on topic, how far under sea level is the majority of NO? Has NO ever flooded like this in the past? James
-
Maybe people who live within a certain distance from an ocean should pay higher taxes than the rest of us. I'm guessing it will be a while till AZ gets flooded by a hurricane. This does not seem to stop my fed. tax dollars from rebuilding Florida over and over again. James

SDAZ in Eloy will make you a deal on bulk ticket purchases. I don't know what the current price for 100 ticket blocks is. If you are setting something up for Eloy don't forget to sched. time in the new wind tunnel. Also there is some top name coaching available most of the time. Come to the sun. James -

She is at work, as am I. We will see each other about 6:30. I met/ fell in love with her in High School in 1983. We had our first child in 1985, and she is pregnant with our second child now. Those of you who know me and have wondered why Kim hasn't been to the DZ in a few weeks, well now you know. James
