Gravitygirl is on the right track in my opinion. Others may not feel the same. I'd say stick with the better safe than sorry plan. Plenty of time to downsize later. James

Who left their wet-suit in a PIA symposium bag at my fuel dock/boat rental
chutem replied to chutem's topic in The Bonfire
Got to work Wed and found a wet suit in a 2005 PIA symposium bag on my gas dock/ boat rental store. If you are a Skydive Arizona jumper I would be happy to drop it off next tme I'm at the dropzone. James -
headed out to eloy today for my first visit
chutem replied to agent_lead's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Sounds good. I'll be there monday morning. Do you have your A yet? If so look me up we can make a jump. I'll be the short guy with the desert camo pants. Hope to meet you there. Have fun and be safe. James -
I guess I missed it also, almost crapped my pants watching it. James

In the rw forum on the first page is a thread called "random dive pool". There is a link to the team fasttrax website and the info you are looking for. Sorry I don't know how to link you directly to it. James

About 65 here at work, Canyon Lake AZ. Will be jumping in Eloy tomorrow with any luck. Ask me again in August, you won't wish you were here then. James
-
Check with doctors and instructors for sure. Is it your right or left shoulder that's a problem? Your going to need that right arm to deploy a "standard" BOC rig. James
-
What did Dusty say about this? I'm assuming it happened while you were at Eloy. James
-
Congrats on the A!!!!!! Dusty is a great coach and awsome skydiver. Also a hell of a nice guy. If your looking for coaching on your belly or your head look him up, you won't be sorry. James

Only supposed to get to 72F today, brrrrrrrr. James

Did you have you driver license/ID in it? My wifes purse got stolen, then a female with similar looks took her DL to the bank and opened a checking account with $5. She then went all over town writing bad checks on the account in my wife's name. We found out when police came to the door for my wife for all the bad checks. Was a major pain in the ass. Good Luck, James

Oh god - now I got three weeks for the nerves to kill me....
chutem replied to jumper03's topic in Gear and Rigging
Don't stress on it, I have confidence in you. (like that counts for anything) From reading your posts about rigging in the past my guess is you know way more than necc. You must have figured out how to "test well" to have made it this far in your other educational world. James -
I got in 3 to 4 jumps a day as a student in Eloy. I have heard of more. I think BB is correct about getting the best info from the school. I jumped during the week. I can tell you that I was very satisfied with the treatment I received there. Great people, great planes etc. Can't say enough good things about Skydive Arizona. James

That crap is hard to believe. Can you imagine if it was the other way around. No minorities will be hired for 5 months only white males? I guess this way it's not discrimination it's affirmative action, eh? James

If you have the $$$$$$ a trip to Skydive Arizona sounds like the plan. Even with the A you'll have to make some winter jumps to stay current till next spring. Or more vacations to AZ will do the trick. Skyventure Arizona is right there if you want to do some "indoor skydiving". I'm only about an hour away so I'm sure I suffer from the "DZ I jump at is the best" syndrome, but I'm sure many would agree. James

Not something I'd ever want to need to use. Much better than skipping accross the water at 200mph. I guess it was to much trouble for the seller to do a search on the manufacturer. James
-
I think you guys are right on this one. James
-
Thanks for giving a shit. I make every effort to be ready to jump when I board, but it's always nice to know that people are watching out for us "new guys". James
-
getting jump number up. how often do you jump?
chutem replied to arai's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I've got 239 in about 16 months. Mostly one day a week, weathered out a few and gone 2 days a week a few. I did squeeze in a lot of jumps at the DZ.com holiday boogie. You can do it without devoting all your free time to it. A DZ turning lots of loads will help and also a DZ with good year round weather. If you want it can be done and won't end the rest of your life. It may make the rest of your life seem boring. James -
Do you ride dirtbikes or quads? You will be right next to some awsome sand dunes. If you haven't ridden sand dunes it's great. It's kind of like a giant scateboard park for dirtbikes, and the sand coushins the falls. You will come into contact with the border patrol alot by Yuma, road block check points on the freeway etc complete with dogs and everything. If you have any bad/ illegal habits this is not the place for it. James

Homer, try 3M 77 spray adhesive. Spray both sides of broken parts, wait 5 min for it to tack up then stick the parts together. Dries fast and does not add as much weight as epoxy or most other glues. This plane will stand up to alot and a complete replacement fuselage/wing assy only costs $20. Have you got the lipo batt for it yet? even faster and more run time.

I can't remember his name, but there is a highly experienced skydiver working the the skyventure arizona wind tunnel that meets your "requirements". He seems to be a heck of a nice guy also. Bit far to travel, I guess it depends on how desparate you are. James

Ours does the water gurgle drain thing also. Whenever Kim get's it water it says glass o water or fresh water and makes water noises.(she always used to say that when she got water for the bird) It's cool how they learn when is the appropriate time to say certain things. The counting thing I got going by first saying wanna count, then counting useing lots of inflection in my voice. Now when I say wanna count it will start counting (when it feels like it) you should see the faces of small children when we do this.
-
What are you reloading with? I have a Dillon Square deal progressive that is great. Once you get set up and rolling you can pop out 3-400 an hour. I used to have a LeePro progressive that would jam up all the time, very frustrating. James

We finally gave up and my wife named ours Babies. Well babies is about 8yrs old now and is definitly Kim's babies. Is yours doing much talking yet? Took ours a while to get going, now can count to 5 and has one sided phone conversations (after ringing the phone) among many other things.Say's wanna bite whenever we are eating and she wants something and bye bye see ya later whenever it sees anyone getting ready to leave. It has been a great pet, enjoy yours. James
