What? You are going to grace us with your presence?!? I feel so lucky!!! (j/k.....you know I love you!)
-
Congrats!!! Well worth every penny, I am sure! And remember.....BEER!!!! Anne
-
Michele, As usual, thank you for sharing your story... First, Don't beat yourself up too much. You will never make that mistake again, you can be sure. scary way to learn lesson, but a powerful one. Second, I have a confession to make. I made the EXACT same mistake. Only I had over 100 jumps and was very current. I had line twists, checked my altitude, then fought them fought them.....The next time i checked my alti I was under a fully open canopy right at 1000ft. Bad. One of the JMs, who does not give unsolicited advice, came over and "chewed" me out. He was quite gentle and nice about it, but the message was clear...I had f****d up. Lesson learned, though...I check my alti constantly now. You will soar again, and soar safely. Blue skies, Anne

Ah, Tina? That is THREE cases of beer: 1. First kiss pass 2. Tarmac 3. First jump at Morris Anne

Emmie... Don't be so hard on yourself...you jumped, you pulled, you landed in one piece...it's all good. Did ya learn something from your mistakes? Then it was worth it... Anne
-
Great post!!! I did a tandem first, too...and it IS a real skydive....but there is something cool about doing it all yourself. Welcome to the sky. I look forward to hearing about your next jump! Anne
-
I got in 7 jumps..... Had a blast saturday night...so much so that I wasn't really up for jumping today.... I love skydiving more than anything, but last night was worth a hangover.... Anne
-
I would like to add my comments on a sightly different situation: When I cutaway (jump 82) my former JM totally went off on my decision IN FRONT OF A STUDENT. Bottom line: I landed fine, all is good. I would hate to think that a student might hesitate to cutaway even for a instant because one of my JMs wet off on MY choice. If you have something to say, do so privately Anne

Awesome, Michele! I can't wait to read all about your jump....have a blast! I know the feeling...after a really long and stressful week I just made three awesome jumps today...stress gone!!! Anne

Ok...it was 82 this afternoon...crystal clear skies, save a few puffies.... No DZ open...I had to settle for a nap in my back yard...laid out the blanket and then soft towel, had a couple pillows. The dog was going nuts. She couldn't figure out what I was doing. The punchline.....tomorrow (when the DZ is open) is going to be stormy) SUCKS Anne
