They didn't give you an altimeter?? I sure got one on my first jump, which was a tandem....and when I did a couple tandems with people just getting their ratings recently i absolutely insisted on having chicken handles and an altimeter.... Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

738 (number of times my damn cat Koby woke us up in the middle of the night....) : 7 : 1 Seven great jumps....I am really enjoying playing with my canopy.....suddenly it is zippier than it used to be...FUN! The one case of beer is for my first (and last) jump from a 206.....I could not figure out how to get out of the plane....the pilot was like...ok...bye....get out now....I ended up tumbling off like an unstable student....and I hurt my back. I was not happy being unstable when the pass was lower than I am really comfortable with...Oh well!! Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

The sad part is that we hear stories like this every year..... Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

So....Sunpath was at Archway this weekend with a ton of Javelin Odesseys for demo-ing. Early Sunday afternoon I demo-ed a Jav with a Sabre 2 190 in it. The harness was a little big.....but ya gotta love the Sabre 2.....that was way fun!!! I wanted to try a container that fit me better....so we they found me one with a Spectre 190 in it....The fit was SWEET. Felt really nice in the plane, during my sit..... Now people had advised me to be patient upon deployment. I jump a Sabre 190....it opens farily quickly. Everyone warned me that I would be tempted to chop the Spectre, but that I should be patient....it WOULD open....it just likes to snivel for a bit first. Ok....got it....don't chop.....(heehee) I had a nice little sit going...bellied out for 2000 feet...then pitched...and BAM!!! INSTA-CANOPY. Where the hell was that snivel they promised me??? SO I look up...and it just doesn't look right....It wasn't really "open"....slam and then snivel??....that doesn't make sense.... Why is some of the leading edge bent back? What are these lines dangling around behind me? Why am I turning?? Are you kidding me?? I have to chop a DEMO?? DAMMIT!!!! Peel, pull, punch.....bye bye spectre....hello smallest canopy I have ever been under....a beautiful pink PD reserve. Kept all handles....followed the main and freebag down...PLFed in a field....GO ME!!!! Turns out there are 5 (I think) broken lines on the Spectre....and plenty of bruises on me. But those emergency procedures sure kicked in! Blue skies and soft openings.... Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!

number of handles lost.....NONE THANK YOU VERY MUCH : 8 : ?? Overall great weekend...I did a couple of things for the pre-second time, but I really don't think they are beerable! Them accuracy guys get out at like 3000 feet!!!! A little too low for me....so I asked for a second pass.....I paid for 4000 feet....got somewhere between 5000 and 5500.....I love Chad the pilot!!!! Anyway....those guys are totally cool....one of them even complimented me on my landing.....(I really did get a little swoop out of the thing...I swear!!!!) Is there anything better than 6 good looking guys running around the DZ in just tiny little shorts??? Life is good today! Anne

Please, Santa, buy me: 1. new gear everytime i am ready to downsize or want something cooler 2. pay off my house....do you know how many jump tickets i could buy with my mortgage payment??? 3. I would really like a Super Otter....with a full time pilot. I would use the plane to jump whenever I wanted (with all my friends, of course) and I would use it to fly places. Probably to Chicago, mostly. Anne
