Didn't work for my Spectre. 350 jumps in Australia: fine. 16 jumps at Perris and the white cells were never again to be anything other than a sort of dirty brown.

Try posting the video on skydivingmovies.com... some of the great & good here might have seen something similar before...

Firewire cable between your camera and computer. Windows Movie Maker / WinDV / Adobe Premiere / Sony Vegas / etc to capture and edit your footage.

Na... the dimmension that needs to be long enough to allow you to slip them on after beeing geared up is the "foot length" and the elastic in the heel section of the bootie. You can still have a tight bootie from knee to foot in a arch Sorry, Remi...I'm still not "seeing it"...but I'll take y'all's word for it, though! When you arch and point your toes the bootie goes taut and won't slip. When you crouch and tuck your toes the bootie slides off easily... make sense?

Very few folk in the USA will know what a Cresco is! It's the smaller, older sister of the 750XL.

I can't speak for AFF but doing 4-way I've found the prop blast comparable to a Caravan. On bigger ways, the pilot tends to keep the speed up, due to the higher probability of a stall, so the prop blast can be murder.

Talk to an instructor in person. It'll be a lot more effective than me (not an instructor) trying to coach you over the internet, especially given I don't know you or anything of your issues. Get to the DZ, preferably in the early afternoon once most of the work jumping is done, and ask to talk to an instructor about your issues.

Flaring completely and doing a PLR instead of lifting your legs up would help a lot more than a smaller canopy.
-
Would this have been last weekend? I didn't see all of your landing, so I will say ask the instructors who did.

They don't know how to use computers .

Perfectly Good Airplane Crap
bob.dino replied to Shadowplay's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
How long have you been jumping? Just a curiosity thing; for me the incessant repetition of the same questions became annoying after about a year... -
Bet it's affected ya though .

BASE toggles - kinda like those used in CReW, making them much easier to grab when object avoidance is a timely and pressing issue.

"a great value". It's either great value or it's not. There's no need for an extra word in there. That's one of the only things that really annoys me about American English.
-
Flat turns are primarily useful when you're down low and need to make a turn. In the skydiving envrionment, you should have your toggles in your hands at all times, meaning that we don't need BASE-style big grab toggles. Or am I misunderstanding you?

Good call. Tough, but good call. I had a decent chunk of cash saved, then took ten months off and blew it all on new experiences. Fiscally it wasn't the smartest, but it did wonders for me as a person. So now I'm back saving. Many of the people I went to university with are significantly wealthier than I am, but I believe I'm happier than most of them. Everything in life is balance.

Icon and Aerodyne links in posts
bob.dino replied to Nightingale's topic in Suggestions and Feedback
It's a start, though it still masks existing links. The word should not be linked as an ad if it's already part of a link to somewhere else. This means that links to, say, comparative reviews of containers will not be masked by advertisements. And it'd be nice if TA's suggestion that Premier Members didn't see the links was implemented. edit: Yeah, it's selfish on my part, but it's also a way to increase uptake of premier memberships. I've been playing with the colours for the new less-obtrusive links and I like them, especially the roll-over grey. Looks nice & understated. -

That would work for me too; I think I suggested putting them to the right of the post. -

That one annoys the hell outta me. Pretty much every self-consciously cool activity uses it. -
What out-of-the-ordinary things do you do for safety?
bob.dino replied to a topic in Safety and Training
As said by a mate of mine last weekend: "The problem with always using a packer is that you don't know how shit your gear's become." His last 400 or so jumps have been team training, and at 10-12 jumps a day you gotta use a packer... -
Hot Roommate Needs to Jump and Hookup--Can You Help?
bob.dino replied to jumpnaked69's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Nah, he was already gonna give his roommate a lift. He was trying to persuade him to come along by promising he'd finish off his licence and get laid. The hot roommate was showing a lack of commitment by turning down the opportunity to jump and buy beer and such deserves no sympathy. Besides, if he hooks up, that's one less for the rest of us! -
