Saturday and Sunday sucked anyway. Monday was the only day you would have been able to get into the air...

A Coe-D is a canopy built by PISA under licence from PD (Bill Coe being the top dog at PD). Aerodyne took over PISA, and recently split them back out again when the company was sold. It's complicated . I'd start with contacting Aerodyne...

DAMMIT! I was coming to this thread to post that EXACT thing. Ding-Dong, the bitch is dead, motherfucker! Couldn't have happened to a better guy. SC is that way kids...

Flyable doesn't matter. Landable does. And before you decide a canopy is landable, you must perform a controlability check, which involves releasing the brakes. At which which time you find out that the canopy wasn't landable and cutaway.... That's the point of a controllability check.

I agree with you, and I'm expecting the F licence jumps to be bloody hard. It's worth noting, for our overseas friends, that a CI is a Chief Instructor and has overall responsibility for a DZ. They also sign off on licence applications and such.

Their loss.

Good, at least it'll be maintainable. I hate systems where there's 23 different ways of doing the same thing, four of which will have subtle bugs that only crop up once in a blue moon. It's easier to write code than read it, so write simple code & you'll be able to maintain it later.

Not really, no. Sorry. Explain to him that you'll be de-pressurising over the space of 15-20 miin, then repressuring quickly.

You can't get Sudafed with pseudoephedrine in NSW, Australia any more.

Bugger. My brain must be losing its last few working cells. Thanks for the catch.

Are you sure of that? Doesn't sound legally defensible to me, but then I'm not a lawyer.

So, when you scratch your Royal, buy a Cookie .

Sorry mate, but I don't agree with you. Fire, Fastrax, Airspeed, Sinapsi, Norgies. Five of the top teams in the world, and each has a female member. I don't know about the Russians.

No, I haven't.

Ring TSO-D today and ask if they have one. Buy it, get it put in rig. Jump your rig with your Cypres on Sunday.

There's a problem with their database back-end. Email them & let them know.

Do darker colored canopies take more UV wear?
bob.dino replied to SlashDog's topic in Gear and Rigging
There were only 440 canopies total affected by SB #20011025 and you say worked on several hundred of those? Well, he does run the North American Icarus Service Centre... -
Ever heard the fable "The Boy Who Cried Wolf"? That's what would happen if folks started joking around with it... My favourite hand-signal story: In Australia, the pull signal for AFF is a clenched fist. Our fearless JM had lost the thumb on his right hand in an accident. During an AFF jump the student was doing really well, so at about 8k this JM gave the student the thumbs up. Student dumps. Whoops .

How Many Hrs./Wk Do You Work (and what's your position)
bob.dino replied to pBASEtobe's topic in The Bonfire
Head of Software Development - 45/wk. Job is officially 40/wk, and I never ever work weekends. I've worked in IT in the Investment Banking industry, and there it was 50-60, plus occasional weekend work. Not worth it - I enjoy having a life. -
So get a Cypres2...
