Vigil Forced To Honour Money-Back Guarantee
bob.dino replied to bob.dino's topic in Gear and Rigging
http://skysurfer.com.au/forums/index.php?showtopic=196&st=0&gopid=990& Synopsis: Taupo Tandem Skydiving bought a number of Vigils from Advanced Aerospace Designs for sale to customers. They didn't work particularly well. TTS replaced the units with ones from other manufacturers and attempted to take advantage of AAD's money-back guarantee. AAD refused to refund the money. TTS took AAD to court in Belgium, and has won a judgement against them. AAD have said they will appeal. I know no more than this. -
Hear that Smizo...next project will be to remove the stabilizers on my Alpha... I'd love to hear how that changes things - could you keep us updated?

Change the sign in the Porter, so under the separation times, in a 72pt font sits the words "The 45° rule is like pink on a rig. Just Wrong." -

I agree. I think they're the best around, which is why I own a bunch of them . -
Bob did you actually watch the match? Yes.

Hand Cam Video: Do you do it? What's the arrangement?

Working link. There was an errant double-quote in your link that confused the dropzone.com magic elves. -
You should not be wearing a t-shirt to slow down; everyone else needs to put on more lead. I'm also not a fan of "baggy cotton forearms", but others may disagree. All my teammates wore at least 5kg of lead. Hell, even the camera wore 7kg! It's normal.

Out of curiosity, would you put a newbie under a 135?

A 135? Seriously?

If you could design the perfect rig...

I believe Bill Booth (owner of RWS) is on record as saying it'll happen eventually, but I wouldn't hold your breath for it to be anytime soon. His reasons: - Commercial advantage - If it's licenced & the licenced version fails/kills people, he wants to make sure that it's not the idea of the Skyhook that gets blamed. -
At least two members of the Aussie 8-way team Deton8 jump JVXes - Michael Vaughan and George Attard. Michael is also competing at the WCCP in Wien (Vienna). George has represented in the past. The Aussie 4-way team Airtite also have a couple of JVXes. I'm pretty sure they take them to terminal. Regularly .

Been done - it was called a Woomera. I've seen one covered in cane toad skin . I thought that was a throwout. You're completely correct. I should read more carefully before replying. Sorry . -
They're just men, like any others.

Best answer so far.

The Italians robbed themselves in that game. There's no-one else to blame - if they'd played even half-decently they'd have progressed. Stop whining & get over it.
-
It wasn't the right call, but I don't think it's fair to blame the ref. When I saw it in real-time I thought it was a penalty too... the defender (was it Lucas Neil?) committed the cardinal sin of getting off his feet in the penalty area. Any striker worth his salt in the modern game is going to dive when you do that, and to be fair it was a pretty decent dive. All in all, I thought the Italians were more dangerous with the posession they had, and probably deserved to progress. And yeah, the red card was deserved - he went in with both sets of studs showing. That's an automatic red.

I'm dating a girl with a large Old English Sheepdog. The only issue was his tendency to lick my feet. Very very weird to be shrimped by a large furry dog.

You got an agressive response from an overly-opinionated poster. I'm pretty sure I know exactly who it was too - he's normally quite full-on. Best response? Relax. Ignore the post and within an hour or two you'll have a bundle of helpful responses filling the thread. React to it and you'll end up causing a flamefest which will ensure you don't get the information you're after... -

Tough. Learn to keep your ego in check and you'll learn a lot more. Some of the most crotchety folk around have the most information to offer. If you can let it slide a little, you can pick up some great information. -

No. A Relative Workshop Vector 3 can be retrofitted or ordered new with one. No other brand of container can have a skyhook added.
