Questions regarding newbie RW and a purchasing a suit...
bob.dino replied to DougH's topic in Relative Work
Agreed. Booties, skinny forearms, all the grippers are necessary. -
Happy birthday Ms I-wanna-milk-a-cow-with-power-tools .

PD Reserve wingloading 2:1 and higher
bob.dino replied to frost's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
As far as I know, Velocity Sports Equipment (manufacturers of the Infinity) can build a container for pretty much any main/reserve combination. KellyF is the owner, and I'm pretty sure JohnMitchell has a large reserve and a small main. -
Happy Birthday mate! Hope you have a couple of cold ones

Put SO in passenger seat. Put rig in SO's lap. Problem solved.

Random: Anyone up for dinner in Reno, NV tomorrow?
bob.dino replied to ntrprnr's topic in The Bonfire
Nah. A 15,000 mile round trip is a bit much for dinner. -
Go post that in a Women Only thread about cute instructors.

To be the best at anything requires obsession. That pursuit of that activity must become the whole of your world. I'll never be one of the best software geeks in the world. I'll never win a World Meet in 4-way. I'll never play professional soccer. To me, it's not worth the sacrifices needed to achieve those goals - I like having friends, money to buy a latté whenever I want, the time to read a novel for no other reason that I can, and the ability to keep a relationship going. Sometimes I do look at those that excel in a field and wish I was there - I'd like to have been employee #3 at Google, be OC in Airspeed, or win a European Cup Final with an injury-time goal. But then, I look at my life and realise that, for now at least, the balance is right.

Right now we have one, because we have a houseguest who owns it. Normally, none.

Spinning mal on both canopies...yikes!!
bob.dino replied to mattyblast's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
To achieve this, you need to be able to hold down a loaded brakeline one-handed, without taking a wrap. Taking a wrap will a) cause you to turn, and b) make cutting away difficult/hazardous. -
Unfortunately, it costs money to challenge a patent, and the rules around providing prior art are complicated and less than wholely transparent.

Examples of pedophilia depicted as a good thing.
bob.dino replied to sundevil777's topic in Speakers Corner
I'm not sure of the details of the Foley case (I don't live in the USA), so I'll refrain from comment. I will, however, note that you can get married at 16 in Ireland. If you're old enough to get married, you're old enough to have sex - heterosexual or homosexual. There are probably all sorts of other issues involved in this case that I'm not aware of. No. It's art - that means that it can be confronting, uncomfortable, and go against societal norms. -
you may have met me but you have never seen me in action Are you going to be the cabaret at the next Picton Christmas Boogie?

I have to strongly disagree with this. Putting the DVD on a 50"+ screen in the DZ canteen with all the family and friends watching and squealing is pretty damn cool. Sometimes also persuades some of the other members of the party to do jumps.

Sometimes, I'm very glad that there's a continent between us .

Paraglider collapse resulting in fairly major injuries (I believe he was in a coma for a while) and an extended hospital stay. Discussed quite extensively in the BASE Forum.

16 is the age of consent in many countries. -
No arguements there, since I've not tasted it .

In addition: deleted posts show up in Search results, but you can't open them. So, if they're not showing up in the search results, they're a victim of the indexing snafus that have been plaguing the site.

Is it made in Ireland? No? It's not an Irish beer. Heineken made in the Australia is not a Dutch beer. Budweiser made in the UK is not an American beer. Guinness made in Nigeria isn't Irish.
