  1. The Holy Handgrenade. Perfect comedy .
  2. The APF has a nice graph of the worth of a Cypres1/2. Adjust for the current new price of a Cypres in your area and ta-da!
  3. Dunno really. If I do, it'll be on Wed. I'd really like to, but it does depend on just how knackered I am after three days of tunnel and jumping...
  4. QuoteUh...! You excite me! I befriended you?![Unimpressed] Keep it in your pants. Rosa might forget all about Spencer if you're not careful .
  5. Excellent . I look forward to misremembering my bad school French with you and Rosa
  6. Rightyo, I'm off to Perris for a few days skydiving at the start of August (Sat 30 - Tue 2, fact fans). I've got Wednesday free, then I need to be at LAX at 8am on Thursday 4th. Where should I stay on the Wednesday night? I won't have access to a car. Oh, and what should I do during the Wednesday day-time? Thanks folks.
  7. I don't think getting new control lines is going to be cheaper or quicker than a reserve repack.
  8. An full-face alternative to the Mamba is the Parasport Italia Z1. Distributed in the USA by Unfeathered. Very very nice. edited for spellunking
  9. I'll be in the States (can you say tunnel?), but say hi to Matt from Newcastle. Top lad, and a teammate of mine.
  10. You got deported? Wow. What did you manage to do to deserve that?
  11. If you add "...and doesn't take themselves too seriously" to that, I'm in total agreement.
  12. Don't worry; I understand and can fly a pattern just fine. I am, however, cynical that folk were ever better than they currrently are at following the pattern.
  13. Yup. And as a one-time offer we'll gracefully extend that to once-upon-a-time-never-coming-back East Coasters like Squeak .
  14. Did they ever exist? I've not been in the sport long enough to comment, but I'd guess not...
  15. Having thought of something similar to this, I ended up here... The way I'd like it to work is that a user can either select from a list of all DZs in the database or enter freeform text. If they select from the list, their profile contains a hyperlink; if they enter text the profile behaves as it currently does. Best of both worlds, in my opinion.
  16. ..and I've taken my rig checked. If you approach checkin and tell them you have a parachute in your bag, they'll put a special sticker on it and attach a copy of the CASA letter you'll have handed them. Handy.
  17. The MSDN cert is issued by: CN = Microsoft Secure Server Authority DC = redmond DC = corp DC = microsoft DC = com
  18. One thing to add to this: if the landing area is up or down jump-run, do not head that way until you've seen the next or previous group open. Someone freefalling through your open canopy is probably the last sight you'll ever see.
  19. A Sabre2 150 would be a much better option, and a Sabre2 170 might be better yet. Don't rush too much - titanium in your leg is very expensive .
  20. They think they are. They've been doing it for a while with their MSDN site. I've not really seen any discussion on the whys or wherefores, so I can't say anything more than "yep, that's what they're up to".
  21. So should we be talking about Frenchy instead? Or waffling on about sex?
  22. I've seen far more people ruin their lives with alcohol than drugs. That doesn't mean that no-one should drink or take drugs. It just means that, like skydiving, they're dangerous if you're not taking appropriate precautions.
