    Rightyo, I'm off to Perris for a few days skydiving at the start of August (Sat 30 - Tue 2, fact fans). I've got Wednesday free, then I need to be at LAX at 8am on Thursday 4th. Where should I stay on the Wednesday night? I won't have access to a car. Oh, and what should I do during the Wednesday day-time? Thanks folks.

    Having thought of something similar to this, I ended up here... The way I'd like it to work is that a user can either select from a list of all DZs in the database or enter freeform text. If they select from the list, their profile contains a hyperlink; if they enter text the profile behaves as it currently does. Best of both worlds, in my opinion.

    ..and I've taken my rig checked. If you approach checkin and tell them you have a parachute in your bag, they'll put a special sticker on it and attach a copy of the CASA letter you'll have handed them. Handy.

    One thing to add to this: if the landing area is up or down jump-run, do not head that way until you've seen the next or previous group open. Someone freefalling through your open canopy is probably the last sight you'll ever see.

    A Sabre2 150 would be a much better option, and a Sabre2 170 might be better yet. Don't rush too much - titanium in your leg is very expensive .

    They think they are. They've been doing it for a while with their MSDN site. I've not really seen any discussion on the whys or wherefores, so I can't say anything more than "yep, that's what they're up to".

    I've seen far more people ruin their lives with alcohol than drugs. That doesn't mean that no-one should drink or take drugs. It just means that, like skydiving, they're dangerous if you're not taking appropriate precautions.
