  1. It's just about 6pm here on a fairly iffy day weather-wise. In Australian terms, iffy means rain and 17C. Tomorrow should be 25C . Hope the smelly trucker shuts up soon...
  2. Yup, about a month ago. Brand new. Current fleet: Skyvan, Otter, 750XL, Turbine Beaver. We still have the second Skyvan, but it's been in the shop for long enough that I'm not counting it.
  3. In a mellower mood, RJD2 are well worth checking out, as are Handsome Boy Modelling School.
  4. There isn't one. PM Frenchy68 for more; he's just moved to Shanghai.
  5. We were running the Skyvan, XL, and Beaver all day on Saturday. Busy! The swoop comp rocked as well
  6. I think you should post a couple of frame grabs from that chow. It really was spectacular .
  7. 1 weird bug that stopped us jumping : 3 : 0 Had some random bug thingy that stopped me in my tracks on Saturday. That, combined with some torrential rain on Sunday, made for a quiet weekend .
  8. Y'know, I've heard that raccoon fur brings a shine out nicely.
  9. It almost sounds like info from the days of round parachutes...
  10. Indeed. Nothing good comes from there. Even their coffee is terrible.
  11. He's in Spain. Is there a reason he would need a USPA rating?
  12. Irish folk call that a depth charge. Best is a shot of drambuie into a not-too-fizzy beer.
  13. Many of the responses are close, but not quite right. What you need is a hot whiskey. Procure one wine glass. Stick 3-5 cloves into a slice of lemon. Pour in a measure of whiskey (eg. Jameson). Add hot, but not boiling, water. Drop the becloved lemon into the glass. Add honey to taste. Perfect for a winter cold
  14. Use Firefox and install the ForecastFox extension. Problem solved
  15. If, by 'look after', you're referring to the Italian hitman sense of the word, then yeah, I'll look after you . Sure you wouldn't prefer to have Lainey doing the minding?
  16. I'm thankful for good family, good friends, and good flying. I'm thankful that, in the great scheme of things, the stuff I stress about is small peanuts.
  17. Someone with some real skill? Besides, shouldn't "Team New Gravity" be training for the Nationals?!
  18. Moore's Law. The original prediction related to chip transistor counts doubling every 12 months. It's now commmonly used in many different computer-related areas (hard-drives, memory chips, etc) to describe the exponential growth of technology. Bascially, if it exists and is really expensive now, it'll be cheap soon.
  19. I'd pay good money to see the look of confusion on his parents' faces when he said that .
  20. Here is probably a good place to mention Brian Germain's pilot chute packing method. His contention is that it will massively reduce the likelihood of a horseshoe, as the pilot chute will be pulled from the boc pouch by the departing bag, giving you either a baglock or premature deployment, both of which are better than a horseshoe.
  21. It'd be pretty easy for Lisa & co to package the entire rigminder with something like UniServer to make it runnable on a single PC, with a synchronised backup to their site, if desired. Talk to her about your specific requirements, and you never know, she might just be able to solve your problems
  22. That's a hell of a lot of over-engineering for a fairly simple problem that's mostly solved by the current version of rigminder.
  23. It is dark. You are likely to be eaten by a GROO. :) You are such a geek .
