Dunno if you can pay your dues there (IMHO), I got 12 in off the bridge but reckon I only started paying my dues when I got back from the FJC (and still will be for some time). As a very experienced jumper said to me : "You are now in the trenches, be very careful!"

Don't know, he wasn't sure himself. The delay was definitely not more than 2 seconds. Opening was almost 90 left so maybe he instinctively just flew to the first shore he saw, I'm not sure and neither was he.

Didn't some Aussies (inc. DW) offer that on a European road trip some time back? (including introduction to aerials if wanted) I wonder what the response was and if they got enough punters.

When I did the course last year, the student jumping before me got disoriented on opening and flew to the wrong side of the river. He tried to land on the rocks but only succeeded in breaking both his feet on a rock and falling back into the river. One foot only needed plaster, the other needed surgery. He had almost 2 000 skydives and 10 BASE jumps before attending the FJC. Just because the bridge is safer than most other objects doesn't mean it is safe (ask the guy who overdelayed and got such a big enema it turned him green ).

Please take a look at the attached picture. The body under the blanket is that of Terence Ford. He bought his farm from a black farmer using a loan from a black bank yet the 'land settlers' decided he had no right to it and killed him. Anyone who thinks Saddam is a bad man obviously isn't familiar with the work of Robert Mugabe. I was chatting to a chap from Zim this past weekend, his folks' farm was 'resettled' 10 years ago. He told me of a new problem they now have, all the subsistence farmers on those resettled farms have now become dependant on foreign aid (why work all day when the food is handed out free?). Now if/when the foreign aid does stop they will be well and truly fucked. No more big farms feeding the country and producing a surplus for export, only lots of little goat farms which aren't even being 'farmed'. Mugabe needed to go a long time ago and Mbeki needs to stop supporting that scum. Will
